Came here for breakfast on the way through Nevada. It wasn't a bad choice. They have a standard American breakfast menu and fair prices and nicely prepared. The hostess came to our table maybe five or six times during the course of the meal, my coffee was refilled three times, and the food was just what we ordered. If you're in Lovelock and want breakfast I would highly recommend C Punch Ranch. read more

While driving from Utah to California, this served the purpose of a place to lay our road weary eyes at a moments notice. The bed was comfortable. The sheets appeared clean. Not the only game in town, but it is close to it. The menu has lots of choices but I typically skip the specials. The prices are just okay. The service is friendly and typically quick. Parking is easy. Bottom line is that this a good place to stop if you need to be in Lovelock. If you stay here, check your credit card. GF has AAA. We were offered an AAA rate at $86/night. Paid, and thought we were good. But I was charged for an additional night at 12:30 AM on my last night staying here. I saw the extra charge on my statement and figured I'd sort it out when I was passing back through the area the following week. I was returning without the GF, so I expected the rate for my second stay to be higher. When I returned, 'Brie' at the desk said the extra charge was a mistake by a new employee and refunded it. Since I'd be staying there again, she said she would give me 'the AAA rate' to make up for it. She was literally holding the itemized receipt from my first stay when she said that, so I thought it would be $86/night, give or take. I should have clarified what she meant. When I got the itemized receipt when I checked out, I'd been charged over $120 per night for my second stay (+40%), erasing the refund for the mistaken charge almost to the dollar. The hotel parking lot was much less busy the second time around, and both stays were midweek. While we were chatting, 'Brie' commented that the new owners hated giving out refunds and that she would have to explain my refund at her meeting with them at the end of the week. But I think she found a way to keep them happy... Room was reasonably clean. Doesn't matter. I can't stay here again. read more

We found this place by accident and decided to stay the night October 2023. It was off the beaten path but well worth it. The area itself had a lot of closed businesses as the population is very small. However, this hotel by Best Western did have very comfy beds, clean rooms & bathroom. Our TV did not work and after we called the front desk the lady herself came and between her & my husband were able to reconnect the TV. Why anyone would take the time to get behind the heavy stand & wall to do this we have no idea. A mini casino was inside along with a wonderful restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast. The waitress was nice and the prices were very reasonable. The couple we were with did not have very good pancakes as they were large and rock heavy to the point you couldn't eat them. After telling the waitress she apologized and took the price off of bill. Other than that we thought this place was good enough to stay if we ever traveled again to this area. read more

I really really appreciate c punch because we'd been driving for HOURS and we were tired and frustrated from moving and C Punch was a safe haven for the night. When checking into the hotel room I handed my ID CA License along with my Visa Card as on the back of my Visa it says ask for ID. The check in clerk proceeds to make a photo copy of my license. Then this is where the saga begins. I signed the check in papers however didn't realize that my license was still in the copier. He had only returned my Visa Card to me. I didn't realize I didn't have my license till the next day in Boise. I called the C-Punch and a lady said yes your license is here and we will mail it back to your address on the license. WRONG!! When I got home 1 week later no license was in my mail. So I called the C-Punch and the lady said that it was going to cost me $10 to mail me back my license. At this point I am flabbergasted. I asked her name and she said it was Elena. So I said to her someone needs to do the right thing here Elena because a postage stamp only costs .47cents. She said she had a stamp and would send it back to me even though management wouldn't like it. I salute her tenacity to do the right thing! I received my license 3 days later like Elena promised and when I called to Thank her I was told she was no longer working there. So I called the next day to talk to the manager because I am thinking Elena was fired for doing the right thing however I haven't received a return call from the manager yet. read more

The Cpunch has one thing going for it....it's bartenders. Especially Christopher. Now Chris has the sense of humor only a mother could love. But he knows how to bake a potato. Man!!! His potatoes are rockin. And even though the restaurant only cooks 6 potatoes a day, he always makes sure I get one. And not all bartenders will do that for you, ya know? And there's always the right butter to sour cream ratio. He also brings me exact change when I pay the bill and bonus...he takes his tip right off the top, so I don't have to do the math. Awesome right? He knows just when to tell me I'm being annoying. I'm always annoying but Chris is spot on each and every time I pop off. And he never boasts or brags that he knows when to bring extra napkins or straws. He picks out all the croutons in my salad...cause you know, carbs. And I've only had to tell him once that my name is Jenny and not Stephanie. I don't even look like a Stephanie! Anyway, I need more bartenders in my life like Chris. Having been to Lovelock in the past we were desperate to find a halfway decent hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel looks relatively new and it is very clean. The decor is kind of techy modern, plenty of lamps and convenient electrical plugs! The bed was firm, but definitely not uncomfortable. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise in that there is a tub and a separate shower. There's a refrigerator, microwave and a very nice high def television. We would highly recommended and will definitely stay here again. Oh and the price with AARP was extremely reasonable! read more

This is a hotel we have frequented in the past but has gone severely downhill. There was no hot water for showering, at least in the evening. The staff, after the trip, tried to tell us this was because it was peak hours when a lot of people in the hotel are showering so we should've just waited. However when we alerted the front desk during the stay, they told us they would fix it and it was an issue with the water heater. After waiting an hour, still no hot water! Also, the phones in our room and at least one other guest's room did not work. This is a huge safety issue! When we alerted staff to the issue they said they're fixing it, "our phones are old". But they have no problem putting guests at risk in the rooms when they are not working. Very poor experience and we will not be returning. read more

I made a reservation for 4days along with about 16 other couples from a metal detecting club from Placerville. We arrived on Thursday afternoon. On Friday I left a note for housekeeping stating that bathroom towels hadn't been used, so no need to change. I also ask for tissues as box was empty and more regular coffee. They didn't clean at all. On Saturday, we went out on prospecting outing and got back about 4. The room wasn't cleaned , I went to front desk and asked for it to be cleaned as I was ready for hot shower. Person at desk said they only clean on Friday and Tuesday. I stated not acceptable and ask for manager. She stated I was on a weekly rate so no cleaning till next Tuesday ( I'm leaving Monday) so that means won't be cleaned at all. I went to casino/ bar supervisor and ask to speak to manager. She stated not on site but she would call. The lady was nice and stated mgr would come in. Mgr never spoke to me but someone did come in room and changed towels and emptied trash cans during the time I ate dinner. However left no soap,coffee etc in room. Very poor service for a hotel/ casino. Will never stay here again and will suggest to 80+ club members to consider this when returning. John Horton read more

Small, comfy room. We got the room next to the laundry room which was convenient. The place was packed as there was both a car show, a rodeo and graduations going on. There's a small smoky casino beyond the lobby of the hotel, and a decent restaurant and bar beyond that. Service was decent. read more

I arrived here after trying to stay in two other motels. The welcome was warm and efficient. My federally licensed service dog did not pose any problem. The room - very spacious, super clean, with excellent a/c, good water pressure in the shower, and a powerful little refrigerator. I don't give it 5 stars, however, because the internet is spotty and super slow. Given the dependency of a traveler on the internet these days, such internet service is unacceptable.The price is fantastic! read more
