The restrooms are old fixtures, but still well cared for. My only comment would be don't fall for the marketing to get the premium pull through site. I did that, but all of the sites are easy to accessible, and the premium one is right up front by the front gate, so all the traffic goes by. The sites further back are much more private, much more tree, and cheaper. Still, all in all, a good place. It is right off the highway, but that's to be expected.

Some unique features in that they have small 'pens' situationed at some of the sites in case you would rather put your dog in a pen as to tying him up. Nice walking path along the river. But my favorite was that the BBQs at the sites are in pristine condition. We stayed only one night so we didn't get the opportunity to grill, but we would have had no problem grilling without first having to clean the grill! Highly recommend a stop if you travel that way!

The owner greeted us, I asked if they had any vacancies. They said the cabins were all full but they had the bunkhouse with a toilet and a sink. I enjoy coming to Sheridan each year where I perform in the Tournament of Knights. I highly enjoyed staying at the Sheridan KOA because it was convenient, fun and I thought the staff was friendly. This year I rented the red wagon for my family. So last night I get a call my father is on life support. Obviously that changes things. I call to cancel and they cancel for me no issues. I get the email that I will be receiving no refund. Well I call back and im told heartlessly and soullessly "that's policy"... Thats corporate America. The very thing we camp to get away from. I understand if that's the policy...but to not even allow me to change dates. To not even warn me that I will lose several hundred dollars!? Wrong wrong wrong! This is how your situation and money will be treated if youare unfortunately in a situation where you have no choice but to cancel. I didn't want to cancel... I paid alot of money and I will not be able to earn money as a performer...and I may lose a father. But that's policy... so just be aware that they are a corporate company and will not care about your situation...only your money. I will never go again. And I was looking forward to going.​

Danette the manager is very friendly. We did not use or look at the restroom/showers or other facilities. We were in 40' 5er. I walked to town every day. The museum is is nice and the people working there even better. Be sure to get a map to The Hole in the Wall Gang Valley/hideout. It is well worth the drive...beautiful. If there in summer there is a rodeo across street from campground. Coffee shop in town is cute and has great baked goods. I didn't try the coffee.

I would title this "Diamond in the Rough" or "Work in Progress". Park has gone many years without…read moremaintenance but new owner is determined to revive its charm and uniqueness. Currently there are only three sites with water and electricity that work. (Check availability first). Women's bathroom has two working toilets. No showers or laundry, yet. Dump station is very close. Wagon Box Inn is just a hop, skip, and a jump away and there is also horseback riding available. The Penrose trail and fish hatchery are nearby. Monty, the camp host, is very sweet and helpful. She can answer all your questions, loves everyone's dogs including hers. Don't miss this one if you don't mind some of the minor inconveniences.
