This is a very nice budget hotel, centrally located by the Interstate, and within walking distance…read moreof several restaurants and a Walmart. There was plenty of lighted parking. The check-in was easy, and the clerk was friendly. The room was pleasant and clean, equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, TV (cable or Roku), iron and ironing board, sitting area, table and chairs, a small coffee maker, etc. The bathroom was clean with basic soap and shampoo and a hair dryer. The towels were skimpy but sufficient. The bed was comfortable. There was some noise from the road, but by turning on the AC, most of that was muffled. I didn't need to use my White Noise app. In order to charge my phone by the bed, I needed to use my extension cord, which provided additional outlets. Breakfast was very basic, "continental, but they did have some small sausage biscuits to microwave. The pool was closed for the season. I would definitely stay here again if traveling this way.

Her reply was "housekeeping is gone; I'll come see what it is." Upon the worker arriving in the room she dusted the ball of hair off the sheets and pulled the covers back up and said "all clean". She pulled the bed covers off and brought a clean blanket. We asked for 2 extra pillows. She said we would have to come get them. I walked to the office to get the two pillows, where she said it would be a $15 fee per dog and that I didn't tell her we had dogs. I told her 1.she never asked. 2. The motel is pet friendly and I was never informed of the fee. 3. The 2 small dogs will remain kenneled all night. The desk worker got an attitude and said there is a fee per dog and I can pay it or leave. I asked if I could get an immediate refund. She stated "yes". However upon checking out immediately, she said it would be two to three days before I would get my refund. Upon leaving there was a dead bat in the parking lot! #rabies #disgusting

Besides that foible, I must also note the rooms are not quiet - I heard lots of convos (and wild birds and frogs) outside in the evening. At least they stopped early enough for me to get some sleep. Other than the Internet, everything else worked even if the room was rather bare and stained. The A/C was loud but kept things cold. Oh, a fun one: with my socks off, I stepped on something hard right before I went to bed. Turned the light on and confirmed it was a half-fossilized insect shell. Sigh. Friendly staff but overall a marginal facility. Oh well. I've definitely had worse.

We have had our bank account ROBBED recently, and as such, we were able to stay ONE EXTRA night by paying for it in cash. IT'S A REST AREA!! OF COURSE I RECOMMEND IT!!! and these ones down here are incredible!! they got all the standard amenities and they're generally super clean or about to get that way and more often than not there's and actual person present who is tasked with keeping the motoring public safe from accostment and annoyance while they are having a rest from motoring... and there's this loop road around back with nicely spaced semi-private accommodations for picnickery with dedicated spots for each... almost as if this were the final destination and not merely a stop on the way to a better place...
