There's signs posted all over the entrance doors and inside that as of March 19th, 2020 both fast food places inside are closed, the booths are blocked off, they are limiting people in the store at one time and also limits on the products. With the few customers inside, we still weren't greeted. The aisles looked clean, wide and the shelves looked well stocked. The restroom also had signs all over the door reminding everyone to stay clean, wash your hands and use their hand sanitizer up front. It's clean, roomy and made for one at a time (there is male & female restrooms). The cashiers were very pleasant and smiling when we cashed out and then we had the long walk back out to the truck...pretty much it's a very small town truck stop.

The door was already propped open so we walked on in to see what was on the menu for dinner and use the restroom. The bathroom is unisex, nice sized and clean. The roller grill isn't on and a lot of shelves are bare due to COVID-19. There's papers taped up limiting items to 1 per customer. We decided to look at the overhead menu above the hotbox and ordered the combo meals containing 2 chicken strips, mashed potatoes with gravy, okra and a 32 oz. drink. One of the ladies working said all the food is half off! Great! We filled our drinks and headed over to the register to a delightful cashier. Back at the truck and opening our meals we found that my husband was given 4 chicken strips and I had three, they were really trying to get rid of the food. It tasted like it was made at lunch and this was what was left over, but we ate it anyway, being brought up to eat what's in front of you and don't be wasteful. It's a nice little station, open 24 hrs, friendly workers..just be leary of the food during dinner hours. They must shut down the kitchen at a certain time.

The cashier informed me I would get a refund in 48 hours. Later I went into the store on 09/05/24 and had several items that I was buying and while I was paying for the items the same cashier was ringing up my items that was there on 09/03/24. I mentioned to him that I never got my refund placed back on my card and he kept on insisting it was yesterday and that he wasn't here two days ago. I told him it had been two days ago then told me that I needed to call my bank and I was just gonna let it go but he told me "you need to leave" that he has the right to refuse to serve me. I demanded that he call the police. The police then told me that I need to leave. Just because I told the cashier I never got my refund.

When it comes to gas stations and convenience stores my biggest concern is availability of products which shelves being fully stocked and cleanliness. This location is in a good spot it's facing the main road way into town parking is ample. They have quite a few pumps which makes you not have to wait to pump your gas. When I went inside to use the restroom the shelves were stocked, but the floors were dirty they hadn't been swept and mopped for a while and you could clearly see it. Staff were less than friendly, however they did at least greet me when I came in. Unfortunately the restroom was in horrible condition. The trash obviously hadn't been dumped all day because it was overflowing and dirty paper towels were all over the floor. I literally had to clean and sanitize the toilet seat before I used it because it looked very questionable. Thank God that there was soap in the dispenser because you really needed to wash your hands after being in there but it bothered me so much, that when I got back to the car I sanitized my hands once again even after washing them because just the thought of how dirty that bathroom was I figured it didn't hurt do use the sanitizer on my hands one more time. I don't know what it is with gas stations and convenience stores not keeping the bathrooms clean, but that is one of my biggest pet peeve's. Because gas stations and convenience stores are usually visited by people who are passing through town and normally don't live in the area, you would think with that Kind of traffic, that they would do more to make sure that it was acceptable, clean and comfortable for people. I shouldn't have to come in and clean up behind people that I don't even know because the people who work there are too lazy to do it themselves. What's best is that I don't live in this town, I was passing through and thank God I won't be going back.
