If you're considering getting your truck inspected at this Love's Truck Stop, I strongly advise against it--especially if you're African American. During my inspection, the manager, Dustyn Cook, claimed my brakes were out of adjustment and gave me two options: pay $21 an axle to have them adjusted on the spot or return to the mechanic who installed them. I chose to go back to my mechanic, who confirmed the brakes were already properly adjusted. To prove it, he accompanied me back to the Love's location and measured the brakes in front of Dustyn Cook. Only then did Dustyn admit, "Oh, they are at the right adjustment." This experience felt discriminatory and unprofessional. Love's should consider hiring staff who treat all customers fairly and respectfully, rather than driving them away. read more

They are so worried about vehicle theft and vandalism at this location they park their own service trucks right at the front door. This causes customers to park farther out of sight or at the fuel pumps showing they value their own service trucks over customers vehicles, safety, and convenience. read more

I loves what they did with this place. This was a very interesting Travel Stop located in Deer Park. We liked it and it gave us refuge in the night and pretty cheap gas, and they let us stay here with a few passive aggressive moments that transpired, but generally speaking they were welcoming. It was very quiet, and I'm sure it's not always like that or at least I hope it isn't. We were able to use outlets all night and charge our devices, and it helped us get through the winter storm. So we bought a ton of stuff here to say thank you. It was extremely cold in here but you can't have everything. read more

This is still a decent place to get some food, but is also a nightmare for traffic. Whether it be the trucker who decides he just can't wait for you to pass before he pulls out - causing you to slam on your breaks even though there are no cars behind you - or the Chester's that rarely has their chicken strips or potatoes ready at lunch time (lunch time at plants is typically around 11 am), this place always comes up short. If you come to this place, then let it be for the McDonalds or to grab a snack or just because you have a very, very large truck and you like screwing over people in small cars. If you are coming here for fuel and you are NOT in some sort of rig, then you are a sucker and a fool since it is cheaper down the road! read more

Being where this place is, it can get busy at shift change. They have a nice array of stuff for munching and the bathrooms are generally clean. You can also pick up some tacky nick-nacks, if you'd like. The drinks selection is pretty good as well. read more
