They've also got local beef jerky and stuffed animal heads... taxidermy-style. Pacadermy, I call it. Nothing like a road trip snack with a staring raccoon to keep you company. This Love's is off I-57, east of Saint Louis. As with all Love's, it is easily accessible from the Interstate with any type of vehicle as they have clear signage to separate cars from trucks with wide entrances and plenty of parking. After using the restrooms (Mrs. K. said the ladies room was clean), we filled a cup of coffee and added our usual stuff. Good quality coffee and many options for snacks to go with it. Nice quick stop off the highway! THEY HAVE A DOG PARK! ahhh so happy! I travel with my fur baby and was so excited to see a fenced in area for him to run around for a bit after being cooped up! The pumps outside were very clean. The restrooms were very clean. The inside was very clean through the store. We got hard boiled eggs, I would recommend getting some salt or pepper to go with them. Watch out for the service people!!! Man I really like loves as a business and convenience while traveling. But dang. Right to the point. Handicap lady was trying to get Into an empty locked stall while my wife tried to get attendent to open it. The attendent finally showed up said she knew she the lady was waiting but said she was going to the bathroom first then she'd help her. WTF? A little humanity and what happened to service. The place was clean-ish. It was easy in and out. The Mac Donald's sucked. Nobody took order and service sucked. $4 for fries? Cmon people!! We've been stopping at Love's lately when we travel with our dogs and will be skipping this one in the future. The dog park has all rocks instead of grass inside the dog park. The location was also very busy and smaller than most we've stopped at making it a zoo to get around the parking lot and store. read more

Loves Store 318 My husband and I was leaking air so we call ahead and was told to bring our truck on in. When I tell you the customer service was top notch believe me. Aaron the Diesel Tech was awesome he got us in right away and corrected our problem in no time a great guy and extremely knowledgeable. Sheldon our service advisor was also wonderful so professional. Mike is definitely a Great Manager and it shows through his staff. Loves should be proud to have these 3 gentleman a part of their staff. Such a great place to stop! We had left around 3am in a terrible rainstorm and this was a great place to stop and catch our breath. Tensions were high in the family car and having a place for our dog to run around, have a quick bite, and browse the endless aisles really got us excited to get back in the car. Good, cheap grill items and combination deals are at this Love's. We got the hot dogs, which were tasty (2/$3.33). The rest rooms were clean. The gas was inexpensive ($2.09 regular). There is a McDonalds connected to Love's, and we could have gotten a large drink for $1. But we bought everything at Love's ($2 for drink). read more

I really like the fact that thy are all over this side of Illinois. Although they don't have them in Chicago, this is fun. The gas was competitive as far as prices are concerned. And I did appreciate the fact that they had these hot sausage links (in a wrapper) that wow I love! So hard to find but well worth it. Of course if you have high blood pressure you may have to just stay away. Salty as the dickens! It was kind of late when we came here and the staff was very nice. Even let us (well my friend) fill up her cup with ice and she told them she just wanted ice. They didn't mind in the least, so this was a good thing. The variety of snacks here is really intense. You sincerely have isles and isles of "stuff" so make yourself a list before coming here. What I found entertaining about LOVES is that they have restrooms and showers. Ummm maybe entertaining is not the word I should use. I guess they have tons of truck drivers that come through so this seems to be a plus for them to roll in and just take care of their needs and continue on their way. Still, its a really good incentive to come through just for that, especially if its going to be a long trip. This Love's Truck Stop is crazy busy, congested around pumps with lots of cars, boats, campers and R.V's. You need to pay super close attention in the gas and parking area. Inside the isles seem very narrow. The foot traffic is heavy in almost all isles. McDonalds is connected and heavy foot traffic here. Love's has a section of prepared hot dogs, sausages and sandwiches and fountain drinks. Large selection of beverages in the cooler and snacks galore. The store has lots of sovereign with t-shirts, cowboy hats and stuffed animals. Several electronics are here i.e. chargers, cell phones, etc. Restrooms were clean. The clerks were very nice and greeted everyone as they entered and left. read more

Not sure I'd agree with the other reviewer when they say Love's has the "best" gas, although it is competitive in pricing. This is one of those road oasis's you could skip walking into, only because there is so much stuff in here you may like to buy, but definitely don't need. Like I didn't need a cowboy straw hat for $5.99, but I'll take it! 2 for a dollar candy sales and Garmin GPS's for as low as $140.. Not bad. Fun stop to recharge your batteries before getting back on the road. So many unnecessary gifts you just can't pass up. read more

Love's usually has the best gas prices in Southern Illinois. It's located right off the Ina exit on Interstate 57 just down the road from Rend Lake College. It's a truck stop, and there are usually a lot of people there, but the wait for fuel isn't usually long, if at all. There's a McDonald's attached to the service station for hungry travelers. Inside the service shop, they have everything someone traveling could need. If you come to the area, stop here to get gas at a small discount. read more

You can find this gas station/travel center on I-57 at the Ina exit. Gas is fairly priced. The store has somewhat clean restrooms. The hot food offered is actually pretty good. I'm a big fan of gas station hot dogs and nachos. Sounds gross but the stuff is very satisfying. The biggest negative is that this location is not very big. At any given time there may be four or five people trying to get a cup of coffee from the same pot. The Ina location is good. You're probably not going to run into any scumbags here. read more

Today a water main line broke and so everyone in the surrounding area was on a water shortage. Loves had a sign out for 2/$8 packages bottle water. When I got to the counter they told me that because of the water shortage I was only allowed to buy one case. So I asked if it would be priced at $4 instead of the original $6 price tag. They told me I had to pay the full price for a case of water instead of the $4, even though I would have chosen to purchase 2 if they didn't have limits on it. I understood putting limits on how much you could purchase, buy they were very rude about the situation and said no discounts would be offered. Most disgusting truck stop I have ever been in. Went to the bathroom and as soon as I started to go, a swarm (and I mean swarm) of flies flew up out of the toilet. I looked up and they were all over the wall. Went straight out thinking it was just the bathroom. I went to grab a cup of coffee and as I reached for the cup another fly landed on my hand and 8 notice flies all over the wall and flying on and around the drink machine.
