Did you really lock the doors during a tornado warning leaving truckers stranded who tried to seek shelter from the tornado??? TA is a massiv chain truckers rely upon. You are like a second home. You don't lock the truckers out when they need shelter and safety the most., I hope you reply and explain the situation because right now what the public is hearing about your store isn't good. read more

I've traveled the I 20 corridor for nearly 30 years, and this was always my preferred stop to Fuel up and pee. Once the mega gas station opened up @exit 498 , this place is struggling to hold its own. The food choices are becoming more limited as they close dining options. The restrooms state of disrepair range from unacceptable to disappointment. But it's convenient if you are traveling east on 20. read more

We just had to stop at the TA center on our way home. And immediately walking in Mrs. LT was on point with welcoming the customers so early in the morning. She was a joy to see after driving for quite sometime. The store was very clean and organized. The coffee and tea area was tidy and clean. The restrooms was clean and smelled of bleach. THAT YOU DON'T SMELL VERY OFTEN IN A PUBLIC TRUCKERS GAS STATION SPOT. They also have an area to play some slot machines if your not ready to get back on the road just yet. There's a Popeyes restaurant connected to it as well. The gas pump area was clean, the trash had been emptied. When I travel I tend to make it a habit to stop at a TA center. Because it's a one stop shop. I highly recommend for over the road travelers. read more

As a team driver we stopped for 15 minutes to do a driver swap. Yard personnel yelled and cussed, threatened to ban us from the TA because we did not pay for the spot we were sitting in for 15 minutes. Was over 15 reserved spots open. read more

I travel a lot for business and pleasure and find myself getting gas in Mount Vernon fairly often. It is a large exit and I can eat and fuel up very easy stopping in Mount Vernon. While stopping I have basic needs: cheap gas, fresh coffee, clean restrooms, and polite service. The service wasn't the best, the restrooms weren't very clean, and the coffee was awful. They need to step it up. read more

This is a very busy truck stop, as is the case for the other truck stops in the area. My fuel transaction was completely hosed up. I had to have points and a shower added to my card manually when I returned for a shower. Then there was a glitch trying to actually get a shower. I still left a tip. Tonight was a disaster. The gal at the counter ran my debit card as a credit card. Then after a while, I was refunded the difference. No parking was left after a long working day. Trucks were parked in the aisles and just about anywhere they could squeeze in for the night. read more

My husband is a truck driver and I go along with him because we are retired. My husband is from another country over in the middle east and has earned his right to be here. Everytime we have to stop in Mount Vernon, MO we dread it. There is a cashier whonis rude and angry all the time. Evwrytime my husband goes in he trys very hard with his English and she rolls her eyes and yells at him like he is deaf. She mumbles under her breath and cusses like a sailer. Last Tuesday we where unfortunately at the older location where that crazy woman works still I don't know how she is the talk of the truck drivers and even some employees of how awful she is and how she is so rude and disrespectful. My husband goes in to pay for gas, a few cartons of cigarettes and two drinks and he was in there longer then usual and so i came in and I stopped because i heard this woman being rude to him. He just finally swiped his card and went to walk out and didnt see me. As soon as he walked out the door she was complaining about foreigners and how stupid they are and that they need to learn the language to live and work here and how disgusting they are and she gets tired of having to tell them where the new TA is with the showers and so on. I dont know why this company has kept this lady working here. She is rude and disrespectful and clearly hates her job. I could understand if it was one or two people that complained about her in our circles but it is everyone no one has a nice thing to say about her. If your company is as great as you tell everyone then you should not have any issues finding someone to replace her and by not replacing her after all this time and allowing her to treat customers the way you do says alot about your company and the owner. I cant stand stopping here and the new store isnt any better. We got sick of the pulked pork sandwiches twice now the cashiers are rude and look a mess with wrinkled shirts and heavy eyeliner but its their attitude that is the worst. Does Mount Vernon not have and reputable people to work at a gas station? Maybe the hiring team.ir manager needs a good training session on how to hire the right employees. I wish i coukd give a better review and the only reason i have 1 star is because in order to leave a review you have to choose 1 stae minimum. For this company reputation and opinion to others by word or mouth or even by social media I would change a few things and I would start with the older bald lady that works the overnight shift. Her attitude is atrocious and disrespectful. We will not be visiting and TA's here or anywhere else. We dont feel welcomed here because of skin color and nationality. If you are not white or dont speak well you may want to skip this gas station. If you want to be treated like scum and like you dont belong there then please by all means visit this truck stop. Minus one star for the long lines. Typical truck stop. Store was clean and well stocked. Restrooms were spotless, and the lot was well maintained. The girl at the counter was very friendly and upbeat, which made for a pleasant experience. Overall a good stop. read more
