Nice, convenient location. This would have been a winner had they NOT RUN OUT OF GAS. That's right - none of the pumps had regular gas of any kind. Only diesel. These Travel Centers are the best. They are clean and the workers are friendly. I stop at Love's when I do my traveling. On my way to Atlanta I noticed they have opened more Love's from Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. If you do a lot of traveling I highly recommend Love's Travel Centers. read more

Showers are amazing, superb water pressure and hot water. Super happy. So many Loves over past few months out here that I have visited are "GARBAGE". The chain pit stop is near Hwy 78/22 at Jasper. It is an ideal location to rest and fill gasoline before get onto the busy Hwy 65/Birmingham/Montgomery. Traffic merge back to highway is moderate. For a nervous driver like me, it is much safer. You can see the Love sign miles away. The station is quite popular for drivers. Rest rooms are large and clean. Subway, McD and convenient stores on site. Service at McD is fast and coffee is hot. read more

I have stopped here multiple times on the way back to school, and not only do they have cheap gas (10 cents off per gallon if you download the app), the hot dogs here are delicious! The bathrooms are clean and food area is well maintained. Every time I am there, there is usually someone wiping down the counters or mopping, keeping the area clean. The area was brightly lit outside and inside creating a more safe ambiance than other gas stations I've been to. Among the variety of hot dogs they offer, my favorite hotdog to get is the hot honey chicken dog. It is very cheap and filling, and the only concern would be that the serving tongs they use are left out in the open touching the counter, which could spread germs. Serving tray and cups are paper instead of plastic which makes it a little bit more sustainable than other gas stations as well! Overall pretty good experience! read more

I always stop at this truckstop. It's very convenient off of interstate 22. However, there were several problems during my last stop. First of all, the gas pump did not spit out my receipt as it said it was doing. Secondly, there was a leak in the ceiling right outside the men's bathroom. Thirdly, the dog park was in terrible disrepair, with not one but both gates being broken. Lastly, the men's bathroom was also in disrepair, with several of the sinks being broken. read more

Great stopping place! Very friendly staff who greet you warmly at midnight and of course in the morning! Since there seems to be NO rest areas in Alabama, we pulled up and slept safely in a quiet parking space on the side, washed our faces and started our day with a wonderful fresh cup of coffee, made our way! Women's restroom was disgusting. Some toilets were not flushed. Wet paper on the floor. Dog park (the reason we stopped) had no poop bags and clearly had not had any for a while because there was dog poop everywhere. Not at all up to the standard that we have come to expect of a Love's. read more

Normally loves is pretty great, but this one needs some work. This place is super busy all the time and the parking lot for trucks needs to be redesigned because you'll get stuck if you don't go thru the fuel island before you go find a parking spot (I'm talking about the truck parking). The bathrooms were absolutely filthy and a disgrace for a loves. My wife said there was pee on the floor and the toilet and it smelled like feces and pee. The guys restroom smells funky and could definitely use some cleaning. We took a shower here and got shower #4. That was the saddest excuse for a shower I have ever gotten at a loves. It was really clean, I'll give it that. But the hot water doesn't work. You have to turn the handle just barely on the cold setting for some lukewarm water to come out. If you put the handle on hot it is nothing but freezing cold water. I've heard that a problem here read more

Restrooms fairly decent. Trash cans overflowing though. Cleaner today... Staff keeping up with the trash, despite the crowds... This place is super busy... especially car traffic... With nothing around for miles I can see why.. Much local traffic, cars as well as trucks. Very busy place. Small parking lot. Nearby restaurants:Walking distance. Waffle House & Cracker Barrel. Indoor at Loves: Subway & McDonalds. Parking lot & Fuel Island well maintained & clean. Finally have time for a shower, and no hot water.. Apparently this has been going on for a month now; the maintenance person keeps throwing parts at a "simple" hot water heater... They need to replace it....!! It would be much cheaper and more effective. Loves does not want to pay for a new water heater apparently.. Plus; apparently maintenance is most likely milking them for every dime they can get.... And not available on weekends when things go wrong. The water is well water cold....your soap and/or shaving cream will gel up on you.... pretty darn cold... The manager was pleasant & apologetic. We finally caught a slow period & managed to have enough hot water to finish... Fastest shower in our history... lol... read more

We actually liked this loves. The parking lot is a lot bigger. Plenty of room. Staff at this location did enforce the mask policy but was very polite and gave us one for free. They even gave our 2yr old daughter a free orange juice. From what I seen the parking lot for big trucks was of decent size also. We did stop at alot of loves on our way to South Carolina over all only 2 forced the mask mandate. But the same 2 didn't force social distancing. Everyone has there opinions on masks we our for the choice not forced. Overall loves as a whole on our trip let every customer know they had a right to wear one or not. From what we seen they were the most busiest stores even compared to flying j and the pilot next doors. For the most part for those wondering yes it was about 50 50 those that was wearing one and those that didnt. We applaud loves for them giving the customers a choice and not forcing it on them. We seen alot of businesses on the trip that didnt have many customers due to the force it on them.we hope and pray all this gets over with soon. read more

This place is huge. It has both a McDonalds and a Subway. Not to mention everything for the truckers passing through from showers to a tv room. I was impressed at how clean this one was. Even though it is a large chain, some are very clean like this one and others are not. Even the restrooms were kept up and clean. For a place of this size that can not be easy. The guy at the checkout was very friendly, fast, and smiling the whole time even though he was very busy. He did a great job. I used my fuel saver card to get 3 cents off per gallon and when you do that take the receipt in and your coffee is only 99cents. The fuel saver cards are free and we got ours years ago. It still works no matter where we go and no matter what state we happen to be in. I recommend this place. They are doing things right. read more

I had a flat on I-22 and just made it to Love's at Jasper, Alabama. Even though they don't work on cars, the manager asked an employee to assist me since I am elderly. The employee changed my tire and put the flat tire back under my SUV. Amazingly he refused any payment and told me he was glad to assist me. The manager, the cashier who helped arrange the worker, and the young man who actually assisted me, Patrick, should be commended. You will have a bad experience at this Love's because the flow of customers at the pump is not managed or directed in any way. People pull into the pumps from both directions so that it is impossible for cars to move forward after fill up. Also, customers park at the pump and go into the store for shopping while cars wait. If someone directed traffic and assisted with the flow of cars at the pump, the experience would be greatly improved. read more

It's a loves with a subway and McDonald's. I got no phone service here so I went into mcdonalds for the free WiFi. It was like a 56k modem, I could not download. So I payed $1.99 for WiFi from loves for one hour. It was not enough time to download a half hour show on nextflix. The hour was up before it got downloaded. read more

This is one of the gas stations we always stop at on our route, but this time was especially memorable. I was alone with my two toddler daughters and I took them in to get some McDonald's. I ordered a 10 piece chicken nugget and a quarter pounder with cheese from their mix and match menu for $5. I was trying to order two small fries for the girls, but the cashier told me they had a deal that for $2 I could get a medium fry and medium drink. So I said okay, and while trying to order an extra small fry, the gentleman offered to split the medium into two small fries and the medium drink into two kids' cups, AND they split the 10 nuggets into two 5 pieces to make things easier for me. And to top it all off, they gave each of my girls a toy, making them "Happy Meals", all for the same price of $7.74. Definitely the best experience I have ever had at a McDonald's. Will definitely be stopping by there on every trip through. read more
