WORST Love's location. All staff, counter & cleaning in restrooms were super RUDE and hateful! Employee complained to another person right in front of me because we went to use restrooms and she was supposed to be cleaning the restroom. Hate to come to a restroom/refuel station and just be such an inconvenience to the staff when we're using the facilities that they were hired and being paid to take care of for their guests. Sitting just off of I-65, this Love's Travel Stop is ready to get you in and out, which is normally how my visits go when I absolutely must swing by. In this area of town, the gas station choices are less than stellar and this spot plays right into that unfortunately. For those who know Love's, you normally expect a large sprawling parking lot filled with copious gas pumps, a bright and expansive interior with many bathrooms, etc...along with all the goods of a truck stop gas station. Sadly, this Love's is a small version of that major Love's stop you are familiar with. There are not enough pumps and the lot is way too small for the amount of traffic that comes in and out. It is really nice to be able to swing right off the interstate for some gas, but you have to be careful as the amount of trucks and standard traffic doing the same can be overwhelming at times...and there isn't a lot of room for mistakes. I will agree with the other reviews about the interior being well kept and well clean. I did appreciate that, and the service from the counter was not bad. Overall, swing by as needed but never seek this spot out. read more

Came here to use the bathrooms after going somewhere else and being refused. The parking lot is way too small for the amount of traffic coming through. The gas pumps were full. The inside of the store was very clean as well as the bathrooms. read more

I always seek out Love's when I'm on the road because they're almost always clean and well-stocked. I don't think I've ever left a review for a gas station before this one. Far and away the worst I've ever been to. There are crappy back country independent gas stations with bathrooms you have to get a key to use that are nicer. Trash was overflowing at every single pump. Only got worse inside. No toilet paper in stalls, unless you count the wadded and shredded TP that is laying all over the ground. Place is clearly managed incredibly poorly. Press on and find another stop if you're trying to find a gas station around Nashville. read more

This place was filthy, from the outside to the inside. There's no dog park, so we had to walk our dogs in the bit of grass they had. Not in a safe area- so I don't recommend. To get to the women's bathroom, I had to walk past many shower rooms, that had men standing outside of them. I didn't feel safe or comfortable at this Love's, and I usually really like stopping at these. It also didn't help there was a man in the women's restroom. Mostly clean and the bathrooms are well-kept. The parking lot is in desperate need of a power washing to say the least. None of the window washing buckets had liquid in it so it is very difficult when you're wanting to try to clean your windshield in this very wooded area. Staff is very friendly and attentive and kind. The neighborhood seems a little sketchy. There are several homeless folks that are hanging by the street corners near this gas station & one walked in front of us, thankfully we were going very slow but it was a little bit scary! If I could give this business less than negative stars I would; as it it racist and prolific . I provided them with proper identification and they still refused to sell to me . If I was to consult my personal lawyer; which advises in me in all thing, I would be drafting a lawsuit currently. As a tourist it makes me feel like Nashville is unwelcoming to those of the darker skin; As my cousin had no problems in purchasing the same items I wanted without identification within the ten minutes. If the Jim Crow laws were still in effect, the manager on duty would have tried to have me executed for asking for legal items with legal identification. In fault, this store made me feel as if I was Emmitt Till in the year of 1955 and I will never visit this store again and I would never recommend it to anyone of the darker skin that is visiting or anyone in general read more

I just left this Loves after driving all day. I just wanted to get some rest. The Manager on duty tonight told my codriver he could only park for one hour. This was after the other (minority) worker said we just needed to be added to the log book. My Codriver felt the manager was discriminating. I then tried to call to find out why we were not allowed to park longer as we usually just check in and have no problem. The manager whose name is Abraham allburg proceeded to tell me he doesn't have time to answer my question and hung up on me. That confirmed my codrivers first impression for me As there was no reason to treat a custo in such a manner. needless to say we will never go back there I could not just let this go without telling the story as we have never been treated with such distain before. This was an interesting loves. I was really hungry when I went inside, but then I was overwhelmed with the smell of poop, and was not hungry any longer. I still got a big thing of my favorite beef jerky which is made by loves brand (made by Robertson's) It's really expensive, but it's my favorite kind, and it's gluten-free. The store is pretty small. I tried to get a $50 Jumbo Buck 500X scratch off... the machine jammed my ticket and couldn't get anyone to fixed the jam ticket. Restrooms were clean. Close to interstate. The floors inside of the store looked pretty dirty. There was a trash can In front of one of the door's entrances. But I'm thankful for clean restrooms. I wouldn't stop with with a trailer. Pretty small & tight for a truck stop. read more

The employee known as "Dre" working at the subway I side was unbelievably rude. He gave me an attitude and cussed me out under his breath calling me a smart-ass but was still loud enough for me and another customer to hear. When I asked him not be disrespectful he got an even bigger attitude and argued with me. His attitude continued during the entire process of making my sandwich which 2 other employees, one of them being a manager named Willie, were present for the later part of. After I demanded he be fired for cussing me out and talking trash to me the manager Willie came out from behind the subway counter and walked up to me and got in my face yelling at me to not treat his employees like that and started talking trash to me too. Oh, and I wasn't the only customer that was disrespect during all this. So much for customer service. Great Truck Stop Location Near Downtown Nashville SITREP This is literally just a hop & skip up from my motel I was staying at, so it was nice to don the tennies and just go for a hike to pick up some Pepsi and explore a new truck stop. THE SETUP The motel charges $1 for a 12-ounce can. F*ck that highway robbery. So enter Love's Travel Stop where a 1-LITER of Pepsi was only $1.19. While traveling cross county in early October we stopped in at this gas station to fuel up before heading towards New Orleans. This gas station had quick pumps and the gas prices were reasonable. The convenience store had a ton of great items and it was nice that it was connected to a Subway. The bathrooms were clean and staff here was also polite which was a plus. read more

This store is DISHONEST. Twice now, once when paying cash and once when using debit card, they have added a "donation" to the bill without asking my permission or informing me in any way, supposedly to round out the bill to the next highest dollar. It's called a "CMN Change Donation" on the receipt, with no explanation what CMN means. If the bill is $37.12 and you don't have change, WHY should it be rounded up to the next dollar in the merchant's favor, why not down to the nearest dollar in the customer's favor? This practice is THEFT, plain and simple. If they do that to every customer coming in they are netting extra hundreds per day. Other truck stops do not do this. AVOID THIS TRUCK STOP!! read more

Agree with Kane. So, here's the scoop. This is a truck stop in the middle of a city. It's going to have a small parking lot, it's going to be very loud and busy throughout the night, it's going to be very, very bright! We slept in their parking lot last night in our small RV (16 ft trailer), had very friendly attendants, bathrooms were clean enough (They must have read your review, Kane!), and they had all the fabulous truckstop goodies inside. Plus the Subway is open 24 hours. Definitely was a lot of noise with trucks coming and going, but that's not the truckstop's fault. It's the only truckstop for quite some distance in that area. We stayed there so that we could see friends, but would probably pass on through to another truck stop in the future. Plus, delicious, cold Diet Coke in the morning. This is not a review on Loves but a review on Subway which is in Loves. (Not registered on Yelp) These people hate their job. I stood there at the line unattended listening to them complaining about their job, their hours and customers, for several minutes before deciding to go somewhere else. I learned so much about their company and how poorly they are treated. Now, 4 months ago I stopped coming bc of how rude and degrading the employees were. This was my first time revisiting Subway at Loves since. I won't go back. I miss the old employees who gave a damn, remembered me and most of the other patrons that came in, whom I don't see stopping by any more either. Good luck.
