This place is part convenience store part Cafe. I ended up ordering the red beans and rice with fried chicken wings. The red beans and rice were absolutely delicious. Red beans were creamy and cooked just right.The beans also had pieces of smoked sausage in them. Which I pick out and set on the side. Wings were on the small side but flavorful. Something is a bit suspect about their gas pumps. I was authorizing a contactless fuel purchase…read moreat pump #4 with my debit card and I immediately received a fraud alert to my phone. I checked it out while at the pump and it showed that a $125.00 transaction occurred when my fuel was only $23.84. Chase sent both a text and an email to confirm the transaction but by the time it took me to deny the charge, Chase had already canceled it. Thank God for their fraud alert services. Please be careful at these pumps because I'm not sure if all banks or credit card companies are this vigilant. I'm not even sure if the store realize this is happening but I didn't insert my card and fraud still occurred.

On my most recent visit, I got their in house made beef jerky, homemade pork skins, the boudin balls and some jalapeno honey mustard to take home. All of it wonderful. One of my buddies who I was road tripping with, was smart enough to bring a cooler. He bought frozen boudin balls, a few pounds of boudin, some smoked sausage and some sort of stuffed chicken.
