We spent a lot of time as kids downtown Baton Rouge AKA "Red Stick" its french. OuiOui. My brother & I leaned to roller skate in the Capitol park here when we were kids. It's an amazing place indeed. French Louisiana *is* the state with the most spectacular history, food & ART. No one can deny its relentless beauty and uniqueness. I mean, it is a great location, well lit, well marked and clearly defined parking spots, but that is insanely high of a price to pay. No wonder why it is a great space for that amount of money. Goodness gracious, the parking would have cost more than the place I wanted to visit. I guess that I will have to take time off during the week to come do what I wanted to do.

oh yes just South of Highway 1 before you come out of Port Allen in the Baton rouge crossing the…read morebridge just a stone's throw from the Port Allen port sits the old Louisiana State Route Highway 1 truckstop. just like the cash magic chain or the bayou Country it is your classic truck stop casino facility..built roughly in the early seventies perhaps maybe late sixties I'm not a hundred percent sure but your classic industrial area located truckstop. old school all the way no big chain no big chain kind of facilities here either..one of those classic ones were allowed to the local guys like to park their cars and pay a permit fee and then leave their truck so you got to get here early if you want parking.. many people demon to be a dump in the dive but the bottom line is this and I'm going to put the pictures up to show it sold it is rundown like most of Louisiana truckstop are anywhere down here to buy you that standard you have severe weather raking the area floods and hurricanes you can only do so much.. and these are small independent places most people are happy just to come in and get what they need not really looking to decor and all the stuff and act all hoity-toity go over to a classic casino with video poker dark dingy and just your classic kill time and waste time kind of place nothing luxurious. what do you look around inside and see it is run down but it's clean that's the main thing I had a breakfast and I didn't get sick from the food it was perfectly fine the bathrooms they're definitely old but they're clean the showers are clean I didn't check quite out the laundry.. the grounds are very welcome and whoever does the landscaping does a fantastic job they plant flowers around they have either palm or coconut trees I think there palm trees I don't know I'm not too bright...LMAO. inside also sits the King of the Road kitchen truckstop theme for truckers very cool just a little let you know we know where truckstop and we respect you we like you it does have a cat scale I didn't check out the casino I haven't been in there probably in about 10 years..there's a waffle house right in front when the restaurant closes on the weekends there's also a Walmart directly next door there's a condemned finally closed down god-awful hard he's not missed it all the reviews explain it all you can look if you want to see how bad that place was OMG!!they finally shuttered the whole damn place last year good riddance but the building still stands you could see it in the one of the pictures... they are an Exxon station they have Exxon gas they have a strong local clientele that come through all the time well known people at your good old-fashioned hang out kinda shoot the shit enjoy yourself kind of place people don't worry about what it looks like this isn't that area where they judge just good hardworking folks. the man who works during the day shift does a great job keeping the bathroom stocked cleaned and checked very often. it's a very quiet place even though it's it's right in the very industrial area can sleep like a baby and not be disturbed at night. they got beer or hard liquor the whole nine yards. Community coffee is supplier and choice here. the Louisiana special The Chicory flavored regional very well-known, found down in the Southeast Texas South Mississippi Louisiana areas.. show going to put up some pictures here and if you're not looking for anything fancy but you want a nice quiet place to sleep you got liquor you got booze you got to Walmart just about an eighth of a mile if you have to walk around through the fence cuz there's no Cuts in the fence but just a nice old school mom and pop place run down but not dirty.

The seats are VERY uncomfortable for anyone over 5'7" because your knees reach the seat in front of you even when sitting with your back against your chair! There are several concession stands just like Tiger Stadium including chick fil a and papa johns. Of course regular high stadium prices as usual so maybe try to catch a meal at one of the nearby restaurants. The seats are kind of close and tight when it's a packed house. It is clean though and it's one of the many awesome sights of the campus.
