I heard loves has free air. They do not. No problem! I can pay for l air, and I did so. Unfortunately, twice! Once by cash and again by credit. The machine does not work, the coins do not register and more importantly the metal air fitting does not deliver air. I don't have time to dispute for a refund. I filled up across the highway at Exxon for half the price, and with a machine that also has a pressure gauge. read more

Restroom Rater Here for an update on a place to pee off of Highway 287. If you need to go, this is as good a place as any. It's a big place. You can get in and out quickly. The restroom was a normal, run-of-the-mill RR. It wasn't exceptionally clean, but it wasn't a pig sty either. Clean bathrooms and hot coffee, that's what I get here. The McDonald's here is too pricey. They have some cute knick knacks here too.

Awesome showers with even better water pressure! Nice and clean and piping hot. If there are two of you, be sure and ask for the handicapped shower as long as it isn't needed by someone genuinely handicapped. It is humongous! I love this place because the people who work here really do try to keep it well-stocked, clean and are almost always friendly and cheerful. Such a delight after the fart-knockers one meets at places like Flying J or Pilot. Plenty of parking and it has a McDonalds and a Chester's chicken. They also have hot dogs, and some really delicious southwestern style taquitos. Skip the tea! Unsweetened and sweet is just nasty. Is it the water or is it just me? You rock Loves. read more

If you have a peanut or tree nut allergy do not stop in this place. The chicken place Chester's uses peanut oil and so the entire building is contaminated with nut allergens. The staff is completely rude and clueless. The restrooms are not clean and the doors don't have locks. This is the worst LOVE's I've been in to date. read more

My husband and I stopped in here to air up our tire. For one it's 1.50 for freaking air which is ridiculous. QuikTrip is free. But the air machine wasn't working, it didn't have a sign on it saying that it was out of service so my husband went in there to get our money back and the lady was super rude saying that her draw was going to be short now, well that's not our fault, learn to tape a sign on your machine, don't be a bitch about it, that's how you lose customers. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. The gas station itself is not bad, but I was denied service from the McDonald's for not wearing a mask. I have a disability that makes it so I can not wear a mask, but I do not have an ADA card. The woman working in there demanded to see my card and when I told her that 1. It was illegal to demand to see it & 2. I don't have a card, she denied service and told me that it wasn't illegal. She's old as dirt, you'd think grandma would know the law by now. read more

As of this second..... I am still waiting on a response from the manager of this LOVE'S. It was the holiday weekend and had a bad tire issue. The employee was very polite and explained that thier machines could only do big trucks. He also helped me try and find someone open on the holiday weekend to no avail. I explained that why I had a ride there to take and get a tire I would be back and he said the car would be fine sitting there. After getting the tire and returning...... the car had been towed!!! I made a call to be shocked that it was towed all the way to Ft. Worth and was gonna cost over $300 to get it returned. Maybe the manager can be of real help and pay the bill for it .... read more

Stopped by with a flat on the trailer, and the spare was flat with a bad valve stem. In was late at night and the shop was closed. One of the guys who worked the lot helped us out and we were able to get it back on the road quickly. Awesome place, great people. read more

Chester's is the worst place I ever had chicken from..... Very greasy , the portions of mashed potatoes was not worth buying and it tasted terrible I'll never eat here again ... And they didn't have no corn no legs no nothin y have even offer it if u don't have it seriously might b sick now!!!!!! read more

When I see a Love's, I know it's going to be clean. And it's going to be well stocked. And there's going to food that's rotated and up to some standards. When I see this particular Love's, it relieves me 'cause I know I'm that much closer to Houston and that much farther away from Dallas. read more

The Loves travel stop is nice and clean, but whatever you do, do not eat at the Chester's chicken place on the inside of this place. The food was so bad we threw it in the garbage, and didn't even bother to try and get anything different. How can you mess up just vegetables? It was on the path going to my sisters house, and we were hungry decided to try a new place. We should have ate at McDonalds next door. read more

I was not thrilled when Love's located in our area, but am trying to make the best of a really unwonderful situation (sorry, truckers ... nothing personal). I've only entered the main building once, and it was alright, I suppose. We do drive through the attached McDonald's quite frequently. Its employees are very friendly. I order the Southwest Chicken Salad there, which is just about the same as at any McDonald's ... so, you know what you're getting. The lettuce usually seems to be fresh. Newman's Own salad dressings are a nice touch, and we love the chocolate chip, oatmeal-raisin and sugar cookies (usually fresh as well :). Maybe McDonald's is finally coming up in the world :) read more
