I stop in Tonkawa for cheap gas and snacks. And Love's delivers. I do not know why gas is ALWAYS considerably cheaper in Tonkawa, but I can tell you from years of experience, it is the cheapest gas you will find on 35, between Texas and Kansas. read more

There was no running water and the only restroom facilities were port-a-potties that had not been cleaned in quite some time. Barf!!!!

We stopped in for a shower and to meet up with a fellow truck driver for dinner. They have 5 showers inside. Ours had hot water, which is rare for a Loves, but felt so good. Our friend came early so I was a rushin. Trying to get your clothes on when you're skins all wet is definitely a chore! I was all tangled up and trying not to fall with my pants half on and my bra rolled up in the back...I was a big mess (women out there will know what I'm talking about). No time to do my hair or put on make up at all, so I'm sure I looked a little scary coming out into the store. Once out we walked over to the eateries. Our options were Subway and Chester's Chicken. Chester's it was..I ordered 3 chicken tenders only for $5.49, which turned out to be 3 very tiny pieces of chicken. My Ross ordered a #6, 2 pc. chicken with 2 sides..he chose 2 big chicken breasts, okra, mashed taters with gravy and a biscuit for just 20 cents more than mine at $5.79. His hardly fit in his big ol box compared to my little box. Hardly seems right, but I took it. Drinks are separate so we purchased them on the Love's side. The store is nice sized, I've seen bigger Love's Truck Stops, but this one did have everything we needed. The cashiers were awesome, they all took very good care of us and then we left. The lot is great for truck parking and the fuel island was constantly filled with trucks. It seemed to be in a good location, easy in and out for truckers...by the way I did take some of Ross's food! Super well kept up gas station and they have the perfect place for my dog to run around and stretch her legs when we have long road trips.

Staff is uncaring and unfriendly. Bathrooms and showers are not very clean. Mildew and broken tiles in the showers. No place to put your shower bag. Not very well maintained facility. Will be using Pilot from here on out!!! At least this Love's had hot water. That is the only reason for the second star! read more

This place is perennially busy. The workers are cheerful, despite the heavy flow of traffic. Good selection of drinks, snacks and food. Clean restrooms. Very accommodating for truckers. This is a newer travel Plaza and one of my favorite stops because 1.) It's consistently clean 2.) CHESTERS CHICKEN!!!! I absolutely love this stuff and they have one inside. The bridge on I-35 is being replaced at exit #211. The south bound ramp is closed to bridge traffic. The north bound ramp is open, but for big trucks the ramp is very narrow & the bend in it is perilously close. You have to crawl through that area or loose your rear tires. The store itself appeared clean. Some items were out of stock. Coffee area clean & organized. They have a Chesters' Chicken and Subway side by side in one portion of the travel center. There is also a sitting area, that was well maintained & wiped down. For such a small place, they have packed a lot of items into the space available. They could pay a bit more attention to the restrooms. The odor won't quite knock you down, but a deodorizer could be used. They could have been cleaner, although the trash cans in the stalls had been empty, the sink can was overflowing. The staff was friendly and efficient. The day manager Mat was pleasant & told me "he would look for it & did not understand why anyone would have moved it." Although a month ago, I left a cane. I immediately called later that day, too far away to go back. I gave them my name & number & I was assured they would hang on to it; although I did tell them it would be about a month before I could come back that way. No problem. Checked in last night, the cane had not been kept in the office, it was hung on a key rack behind the register, next to the office door. They had a tag on the item with my name & phone number. It disappeared recently I was told today. Last night; they knew only that it had been there & they could not find it. I am disappointed, especially since the cane was not secured, although its value was not that important, they had not done what they said they would, nor did they keep up with it. I left my card with them today in the hopes that they would find it in the future. read more

Very nice area to stop and fill up on gas, stretch, and eat. Bathrooms are clean for the most part. Coffee and fountain area are kept up as well. Staff is friendly. There is a subway and Chester's inside the shopping area. read more

One of the worse places to receive customer service. A truck runs out of fuel at the exit 950 feet away from the Love's fuel stop. Neither the mechanics nor management seemed to even care At one time a mechanic walks out and states he will help to never show up. Driver winding up having to buy two five gallon diesel cans that are not made with a spout to work easily with a big truck set up. The shop no more than 450 feet away did not offer any help guiding traffic or provide assistance. I myself noticed that the pumps were not giving the drivers points on their rewards cars as if they were shut off and they were hoping drivers would not notice. Purchased: Diesel Fuel 118.628 Gal @ $3.639/Gal Diesel Exhaust Fluid 11.019 Gal @ $2.699/Gal Chocolate $5.02 Fuel island was well stocked with windshield cleaner and paper towels. The Windshield squiggy was worn and falling apart though and needs to be replaced. When I entered the store, I was greeted by the cashier with a smile. The restroom was clean and had soup and towels. Check your receipts. I was invoiced for one price and they charged my credit card a different price. I tried to get my money back and got the run around for a week. Finally they told me there's nothing they can do, call the 1-800 number. It's nice to know not only do they over charge us drivers but they steal from us too. read more

Absolutely The worst loves I have ever step foot in. The fuel pumps are constantly broken and the parking lot is full of potholes. The location is much too small for a truck stop, I don't know what they were thinking in the original planning. read more

This Love's is one of the worst ones I have visited. The restroom was not clean, the soap dispenser was empty, the hand dryer and the paper towel dispensers did not work. There was trash on the restroom floor, as well. The store itself was not unwelcoming in appearance. Fresh fruit cups were displayed and the merchandise was well organized. If you need to fill up on gas or food, this might be a good place to stop. Just skip he restroom. read more
