If you're visiting on a weekend, expect Buc-ee's to be very busy, inside and out. As you walk in, you'll be amazed that this is not your ordinary gas station. Facility - The BBQ sandwiches are legit, the Beaver Nuggets make a fun gift, you can buy any snack item you want, and the ICEE machines are always full. But for me, I never leave Buc-ee's without buying the Candied Pecans. The sweet, warm nuts are packaged in a paper cone that fits perfectly in my hand, so it's a perfect snack on the last leg home. But I can't stress this enough, the Buc-ees bathrooms are very clean. There are multiple stalls, so you never have to wait long. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. You will arrive at a side street for which to use for turning around.. According to the owner there will soon be taco trucks and hot off the smoker barbecue available.. Drive up beer AND barbecue!! So, if you plan on driving North on 35 and don't feel like sitting in the endless construction traffic, then exit I35 just South of Temple and pick up 317 North. Leads you North of Waco (and you can still get Kolaches off exit 353 at Czech House or Slovaceks)... The only commonality with the restrooms here are that there actually are toilets and a sink. They're filthy, as is the rest of the store. Even the front glass is incredibly dirty, as is the parking lot. It's one of the worst convenience store experiences I've had. The only slight saving grace is that there's a passably decent snack selection, and the inside is well lit. My wife had to wait to use the bathroom because they were cleaning it, and she wasn't sure if they actually did anything. It still needed to be cleaned. Stay away. Buc-ees is worth the wait, trust me.
