Car park at the back, and a quick walk to the pub over the road (see seperate review) and a cashpoint further down the road. The breakfast was buffet style with fruit, cereal, meats and cheeses, with fresh coffee or tea. One of the best things was the very smiley welcome from the lady of the house! It has its occasional good night in there but I think that is down to the people who go in there not the pubs atmosphere. The pub does lack some form of atmosphere, it seems to have a barrier between the landlords and the public. Not very publican if you ask me. There is great potential with the building itself. It just needs somebody to give the place a new look and friendly people running it.

With essentially a gourmet restaurant and a gastropub at the bottom of the stairs, there really was no reason to go elsewhere in the evenings. Seriously, try the 3ft of Cumberland Sausage prepare to head to sausage heaven. Within Haworth, it is perfectly situated. You're a minute's walk away from the Bronte Museum, at the top end of Main Street with its tea rooms and shops and about five minutes walk from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. If you want to hike on the moors, out to Top Withens and the like, this is a perfect spot. With the free car parking, either on-site or in the nearby Changegate car park (don't forget your permit!), you're also straight onto the main roads out of Haworth. If you're looking for somewhere to stay, this place is fantastic.

They offer free parking which is a huge bonus for this tiny village! The restaurant and food is absolutely delicious! The best food we had in the entire village was here. Breakfast is included and it's again delicious! The view from my window of the countryside was absolutely devine. Though the rooms are small they are very clean, the bathrooms are very clean. My only comments were the kettle in my room was dirty inside so I didn't use it. The toilet paper has no holder so I wasn't sure if I wanted to hold the toilet paper which the previous person was holding. The old fashioned keys require you to lock each time you leave and enter the room. Also there isn't a dedicated space to hold your luggage should you want to visit the town after you check out but luckily we had a car to put our luggage in. Everything else was perfect!

They covered the basics well - clean room with comfortable bed However, they have a few little bonuses. One is the lovely leisure centre. I woke up early to make use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Always nice to get a little exercise after a big wedding meal the night before Another bonus was the variety offered at the included breakfast. They have the full English breakfast but there are also continental cured meats and cheese as well as make your own American style pancakes. Rooms getting a little tired and in need of a refurb. Not shabby, but not crisp. Hope you know what I mean. Excellent breakfast. Much better that usual Holiday Inn breakfasts. Cumberland sausage especially good. Recommended, but try to get a deal on the HIE website.

I think there are 20+ rooms here and the bedroom pleasant, with modern but traditional furnishings. A old-fashioned dial telephone, and bookshelf of authentic old books sat alongside my bose radio. Anyway the views from the outside patio and restaurant are breathtaking, especially at sunset, overlooking the river Hodder and hills of farmland. I think you can fish here for a small fee if staying in the hotel. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great, I had chicken pate, followed by melt in your mouth fillet of beef. There is a wide range of drinks on offer, and the shop Vintners sells plenty of wine, alongside Molton Brown products, which are also used in the rooms. Lovely little place, worth the trek.

Our dinner was five-stars and the breakfast the next morning was unbelievable. Eggs from next door. Cheese from down the road. Just magnificent. The rooms are small but very well appointed with full ensuite and all brand new. Very comfortable. Quiet, so peaceful at night. And the scenery!!! What views, what beautiful walks. Just amazing. I'm so happy we ventured off the beaten path to find The Plough. And, as ever, the people are everything. And the Plough is very lucky to have such a great team of staff. Can't wait to return!

The location is wonderful - in a quiet village, on a large stream with ducks, near walking trails. Our room was nicely sized and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom could have been a larger and a bit cleaner (mold on ceiling above shower). Our room (#5) was directly above the kitchen, and therefore we had extra noise and heat. Even with the chilly temperatures outside and leaving a window open (only 1 of the 2 worked), we got hot at night. The restaurant was very good and we ate several meals there - good breakfast (included with room), good selection, and the passion fruit cheesecake was amazing. The one negative with the restaurant was the curry. The staff was very friendly, probably the friendliest that we've encountered on this trip.

Beck Hall is an unusual B&B and tea rooms in picturesque Malham in the Yorkshire Dales. An old…read morewhitewashed building next to a stream, it is reached by crossing over on a clapper bridge made of stone - very narrow and quite precarious but magical. On certain nights you can visit here for an evening meal as we did on a recent holiday in Malham. The interior of Beck Hall is really welcoming - very warm and relaxing. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the meal we had was very good value being tasty and with generous portions. Unfortunately I was quite ill when we were in Malham but I felt a lot better after my visit to Beck Hall - maybe the food was extra nourishing! I'd like to go back there again, maybe to stay in one of the rooms or to have afternoon tea and sit beside the river on a sunny day.
