I recently went back a few days ago to train with my brother who works there and I have to say the equipment is run down. Downstairs looks a little too crowded with weights and it looks like there hasn't been renovations to this place since I've gone there as a young adult. I gave this place 3 stars because this gym played a HUGE part in me reaching my fitness goals BUT unless they do renovations and come up with a new strategy to recruit new members, I don't know how long there gonna last

The newer parts of the building are well done but the infrastructure is old and often needs tending. I especially appreciate the attention I've been given since I've developed some mobility issues. I use the deep pool and the guards and maintenance/cleaning staff have been so helpful and kind. I cannot overstate the importance of the Central Y in my quality of life in terms of fitness, social interaction, and general well-being. It's a great facility!

It is nice in the beginning being able to check in over the web cam. My kids were always so excited to see their friends from school walking around the neighborhood. They also developed great foundational skills, learning their alphabet, letter sound relationships, counting and some Spanish and sign language. They loved the weekly visits from the music/ASL teacher. The teachers also helped greatly with potty training once we started at home. It was also great knowing that lunch and snacks were taken care of and that our kids were trying new foods.
