This company is straight up garbage. The bill was $1,678.70 for 1 month. The meter was physically checked and verified for accuracy. Switched off all my breakers except for A/C and saw the system pulling +100kw/hr (extremely high). Looked at the invoice that I was provided and called 3 different numbers to get someone back out to fix it. The guy put some freon in the system and just told us to keep our windows closed, change the filter every month, etc. I smelled that BS from a mile away, so I had to call a Master HVAC technician to come check the system. SURPRISE, the whole system was wired wrong! From the outside unit, to the thermostat, to the inside unit! MY HEAT WAS RUNNING AT THE SAME TIME AS MY A/C. My system was fixed, and now I have working A/C just before summer, no thanks to these clowns. Don't waste your time here, they can't even install a unit on a brand new house. They don't know what they're doing or don't care. I am reporting them to the city.

When questioned about if the unit was at the end of its life span, he told us that the unit seemed fine, and he didn't see why replacement couldn't be put off another few years at the very least. (it has been a year now, and we've had no further problems. We've been using Pape since the early 90's when they had to come out and fix a mess that Wolverton Air had left. Always very professional, and no matter which house we owned at the time they have always considered each call a REPAIR call and not an opportunity to try and talk us into a new unit. That coupled with their reasonable charges is why we don't hesitate to call them. Particularly now, when the unit we currently have has been repaired a few times in the last eight years, and just died again last night. Since it is original to the house, we are pretty sure it is at the end of its service life. But, I have no fear that Pape will not do right by tomorrow when they arrive to check it out.
