Robbie Hill was at first helpful in our quest to procure homeowner's insurance. He drove to a home…read morethat we were looking at and told us that it would not be able to be insured, so we looked for another home and were grateful for his information. We were told by Robbie that we would have homeowner's insurance (Federated National) for our house that we purchased in May 2018. The insurance company sent out an inspector in June and denied our policy because our roof had been repaired even though the repair met closing requirements. We later found out that Federated National is known for not insuring homes that have had patched roofs. Mr. Hill said he assumed our roof would be okay because the house was built in 2005. He knows that the current unjust law allows insurance companies to cancel new policies up to 120 days "for any reason." and he surely knew that Federated National would not insure homes that have had roof repairs. It would have been very helpful for him to have taken a look at the roof before offering us insurance or to at least asked us or any of the people on the closing team if the roof needed any repairs before we closed on our home especially because he knew that the roofs of many homes in the area had been damaged in recent years because of storms. His not doing so, was a huge oversight. His oversight was especially egregious as he told us on the phone after the policy was cancelled that no other insurance agency in the area would insure our home with a patched roof. That would have been information that should have come out before we closed on our house, as that could have affected our negotiations for the home.

So wrong!!…read more I have been looking to change insurance company's and began the search in October 2024 as my home auto and personal property insurance was renewing in March 2025 I reached out to four different companies and this branch of State Farm in Beaufort was one of them! This State Farm came in with extremely competitive pricing and what drew me to switching to them was the Customer Service; from Lexi answering the phone to CANDICE taking care of the quote and writing it up! She listened and made sure I was confident in the quote! Since switching I find there is always someone on the other end of either an email or a phone call! They are patient, responsive, and knowledgeable; key ingredients to a good business foundation! No question is unanswerable or silly! There is an employee named Jennifer that works for Amy Bowman...she hung up on me this afternoon…read more When I asked about reimbursement for a flat tire that has to be patched she said if AAA had the tire changed/removed for me that State Farm would not pay for the patching costs when I take the tire. I questioned this and said "oh I guess I can get a hot tub (commercial) but can't get a tire patched when I'm paying for emergency road service. In calling back, Amy Bowman had already been filled in by Jennifer and although she said I would be reimbursed she was nonchalant, unconcerned about my claims about Jennifer and pretty much encouraged me to take my business elsewhere. I've been a State Farm customer for 35 years. Maybe it's time to change with customer service and rudeness like that! Harold Watson
