I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis at the age of 28. PA has been very aggressive on my joints and destroyed my skin. PA is known as the "Heartbreak" disease, which has lived up to its name for the past 10 years. I have had many interrupted nights that left me sleeping sitting up. My husband would set an alarm clock to remind him to get my pills ready so that my other pain meds wouldn't wear off. I stopped working for 2 years because I was so embarrassed of my conditions and the thought of waking up every morning and getting out of bed disturbed me. I have had injections in my digits and taken almost every biological drug they have on the market. Every time I went to the Dr they gave me a new prescription that only masked the pain. The new prescription would not work well with the other prescription I was on for my skin and I would break out; it was a vicious cycle. My last resort in the non-chiropractic world was a pain management doctor where he would issue out more meds like a kid in the candy store. I started working for Dr Tron in May, 2014 and had NO idea what SPECIFIC chiropractic was. I had gone to other chiropractors and all they did was pop and crack my back. I left them asking, what about my sausage toes and fingers or my headaches after I was adjusted. It took everything out of me to go back every week with no results. They did not educate me that my worst enemies were being subluxated and not taking care of my body. I was feeding my disease with all the comfort foods in the world. I would not have known this until I started working for Dr. Tron. At first I was VERY angry at the fact that I have lost so many years and corrupted my body with toxins that I was consuming on a daily bases . I was even more angered when I talked with other patients and learned they were prescribed the dame drugs as I, but for a completely different symptom. I feel like a lab rat, just trying something that MIGHT work on me. After my first adjustment, I felt a change. Dr. Tron educates me every day and gives me hope that there is a chance for change. I am still working on my diet issues, but I am now more aware of what was bringing me down. I have permanently damaged a few joints, and don't want to damage anymore. I have always joked about me being a 38 year old in a 83 year olds body (my pinky is still 83). I can now sleep through the night without waking up in tears. My psoriasis is getting under control without the nasty steroids. My case comes with a history of multiple head injuries, a straightened cervical spine, and a congenital condition known as Chiari Malformation type 1. I came in hoping for some relief from migraines I had recently started suffering from. They were unbearable. They began after a concussion in February of 2023. By the time I got to Low Country Specific Chiropractic, in June of 2023, I was almost unable to get myself there due to cognitive delay and pain in my neck and head. I barely spoke unless I had to answer questions and give my health history and symptoms due to the pain. After they reviewed my x-rays, which were the first set I have ever had taken from those angles by anyone, Dr. Tron said the good news was that they could help me. He went onto explain that I was missing the back of my atlas and had subluxations in my upper cervical spine that were likely causing my headaches and other issues. And that they probably took the back of my atlas out during my decompression surgery at in 2009 to access my brain stem. I had not known this detail about my atlas before and was shocked. I then was adjusted that day and at that moment I knew I would not have another migraine again. I have not had one since that day at the beginning of June. Within one week of my first adjustment I regained all of my cognitive abilities and no longer felt hindered or labored in my thinking. I had assumed that was caused by my most recent concussion. However, it was actually the subluxations. Understanding that the subluxations were most likely worsened from that most recent head hit at the gym. Also, the feeling of heaviness and pressure in the back of my head that I would have equated to a Chiari Malformation flare up in the past, I now understand it to be my upper cervical spine being subluxated. I can feel the difference after being adjusted. The pressure dissipates. Upper Cervical care is the missing piece that should be considered a vital piece in everyone's health care. I heard of Dr. Tron and kind of filed that knowledge away. Very long story short (you can read my long first version and gratitude on Google reviews for Dr. Tron Malachowski). I have cervical kyphosis and have trouble working and brushing my own hair. I was going to see him for THAT. However, I forgot that when I passed the age of 25 I should act accordingly. I'm now 49 and treat my body like I'm 25 and in a hurry. I repeatedly do a number to my sacrum and nearly can't walk. The issue is felt in my hip and glute. Anyway the problem is my sacrum compressed on important nerves. Dr. Tron adjusted my sacrum and the pain was GONE. Gone! My husband and I knew we needed to find a way to help her but we were not in agreement on what to do. I went to see Dr. Tron due to a severe pain in my neck. I had two discs replaced two years ago and I started to have constant pain from that area about a year after surgery. Not wanting to go back to the surgeon for more surgery I sought another alternative. My wife and I went to one of Dr. Tron's wellness classes at our church and I inquired of him about my condition. I was skeptical at first about going to a chiropractor, but it was better than the alternative of going back for possibly more surgery. I saw Dr. Tron about six months ago and he evaluated my condition and thoroughly explained why I was having this pain. I had a vertebral subluxation. I have a 89 year old mother that had serious knee pain. My mom could not walk long distances or sleep through the night. The knee pain would keep her up and she could never be able to sleep well. I finished a series of adjustments and am now entering a maintenance period with Drs T and J at Low Country. I can't thank them enough for their life-altering care and help. When I first walked in about a year ago, my back was a disaster and it prevented me from a range of things like working out, socializing, and living.
