I have always been a publix girlie, but Lowes foods has really been winning me over. It's a bit out of the way for me, however it's well worth it. I mean $1 mimosas from the beer den while shopping, yes please!! The staff are nice, the store is organized and always clean. They often times have samples, and they had an extensive selection of organic/healthy goods. The bread, bagels, and muffins that are freshly baked at the bakery are so good. They are always well stocked on items, they have a vast wine and beer selection. The chicken pot pie from the deli hot bar is really good! The prices are a bit higher, but the quality makes up for it. read more

Just like Lowes Foods in Concord, the ambiance of the store is amazing. I love the partially western, Mom and Pop feel of the store. And the semi dimmed lightening is perfect. It doesn't seem like your typical grocery store, which is a plus because I hate grocery shopping. And the employees are super sweet. read more

What a great grocery store. I love how they keep it so clean and organized. You have the option of getting them to cut up any fruit or vegetable there is always someone in that department ready to cut them for you. They also have a great selection of already cut fresh fruits and vegetables. The aisles here are wider than than most grocery stores which is a huge plus with using full size carts. I typically go here on Sundays and it's not overly crowded like some grocery stores I shop at. The staff are usually friendly and helpful! read more

This supermarket is AWESOME! My wife, mom and I stumbled upon this place by accident, and we immediately went inside to explore it and ended up buying some groceries. We loved the different food stations and how clean and organized the entire place is. Even though the majority of the products in the supermarket are the same as in the other chains, we fpund a couple we couldn't find in the others. Also, the ambience is great. There is even a beer bar to gand out in. Love it! Staff is super helpful and professional. There is plenty of pree parking, and it's centrally located. I can't wait to shop here again! read more

Lowe's Foods is always a cute place that my family and I like to go when we need a few odds and ends! Even though a bit out of the way out in Harrisburg, Lowe's Foods is always staffed with the friendliest people and has great local foods. Our favorite thing to get here are the fresh Lowe's Foods hint of lime chips- my family is addicted! The items are a bit pricey, though, but the store makes up for it in it's cute ambiance and friendly staff. Bought lemonade right at 10:45 pm. Old woman employee with white hair at register checked me out. I Used my buzzer cart to get to my car. I got out and placed my lemonade bottle on rooftop of my car to unlock my car. I saw and heard old wbite haired employee say to other employee boy 'She's putting lemonade on top of car, I got into my car & then got a tap on my car window & it was the POLICE. The police said the white haired lady employee called us to arrest me because she says that I'm intoxicated. I did the machine breathalyzer and Passed with the highest level. This Employee works at Lowe's that has a bar in Harrisburg. She said to the cop ' I call Police on Customers that SHOP here during bar hours & no bar hours on everyone I can to make them take a breathalyzer test so they can be arrested if shown that they are drunk. I don't care how long the POLICE HOLDS them, detains them in this parking lot & are told by Police that You Will Be ARRESTED If You Leave.' And the police Went to her and told the Employee the Positive test Result. But said It is up to your decision if she is allowed back. She said yes. So this employee is getting information on CUSTOMER, e.g., license plate numbers, names, etc. She will not let anyone to BUY groceries. She obviously HATES her job very much to ATTACK a Lowe's Customer to take it out on me. I'm close to my eighty's in age. I was held there one hour and a half. The white haired Lowes Employee stood there and watched WAY After CLOSING. WARNING Employe will call on YOU TOO! read more

You have to give them your cell phone number and email address to set up and acct in order to get sale prices. That doesn't make sense that a grocer wants that info unless they sell your data and information to third parties. No thanks. I get enough spam email and scam cell phone calls. I don't need an extended car warranty or extra Medicare coverage. Publix and Trader Joe's don't sell my data in order for me to get a sale price. read more

Today, Thursday April 6, I went shopping at Lowe's food store in Harrisburg, NC. I like the very neatness of Lowe's store and the very ample varied types of items. I noticed that there was a truck parked in the front of the store and men were pressure washing food trays. I would think that this job could have been done at the delivery space of the store. This action of cleaning greased residue mixed with water would be very dangerous for some elderly or handicapped persons walking over the wet greasy pavement and carry the soiled wet slush in their cars. Furthermore, first impression is always what the eye tells the brain. The task of this careless maintenance work tells me that customers are not kept in mind when such maintenance is done. Almost don't want to post this but here is where you will find the absolute best grocery store fried chicken (way better than Publix) and dare I say better than most fried chicken chains! While they can't come close to Popeyes they leave KFC and Bonasty (Bojangles) in the dust! I pick up a breast and wing every Friday when I pick up pizza from Dinos. And if the car just so happens to be headed in that direction on any other day of the week you will find it, under its own will not mine, headed to the parking lot and me to the Deli counter. Last couple of times I've gone they've had two different kinds. And you definitely don't want to make the mistake of getting the other (dry and utterly flavorless). Great variety, fully staffed, great customer service! This is my first stop before any other store.

Although Lowes is on the expensive side as far as grocery stores go, their quality is outstanding compared to the competition. It's best to take your time when visiting as the fresh foods departments are what really set this place apart. Produce always looks outstanding, I've never gotten a single fruit or veggie from this place that was sub-par. In the corner is the 'Pick & Prep' station where they have convenient pre-chopped produce ready for action. They also have an extensive selection of freshly clipped herbs. Deli/Bakery is the envy of other grocery stores. To my knowledge, they were the first to have ready-to-bake pizzas in the fresh foods case. The pre-made entrees and sides are surprisingly delicious; usually store bought dinners are 'meh' at best. The bakery is where things get really good. Cakes are cookies are made with FRESH CHURNED butter! Who does that? Excuse me while I down a cookie real quick (or 6, but really, who's counting??). My favorite department, and one that's I'll make a special trip for, is Sausageworks! They have over 20 rotating varieties (usually 6-8 in the case at a time) of sausage ranging from Beef, Pork, Chicken, and combinations. No contest my favorite is the Sicilian chicken sausage. Sweet with a strong herby spice, the fennel really comes out in this one. On the first tasting I couldn't believe it was chicken (because usually chicken sausage is seen as a 'healthier' and therefore less tasty) but I wouldn't change a thing! One negative note, the Cheerwine sausage, eh... just stick to Cheerwine in a glass, not on a bun! Grocery aisles are what you would expect from just about any competitor. Again, maybe a bit more pricy but if you shop the deals you'll leave happy. Also be sure to check out the Beer Den in the corner of the store near frozen/dairy, all kinds of local and craft brews on tap to enjoy while you shop! If I lived a bit closer then this would probably be my primary store, but the 3-4 trips a month make it all that more special! read more

Sunday is my typical grocery shopping day which is either Harris Teeter or Aldi's. This time I went to Aldi's. While driving down the road, I passed Lowes Food and thought to myself "hmm, I've never been in there." So because I had time I decided to make a detour. It was the best decision. Ohhh my gooodness, I have been missing out and I feel some type of way for someone not telling me. This grocery store was like therapy for me. I literally walked up and down and around every square footage in the store. There were options after options. There is a restaurant in there called Chicken Kitchen, there is an area where they smoke meats in house, a salad bar, a bar to purchase alcohol beverages and seating, and so much more. The layout makes sense, the lighting is just right, and the store is organized. The staff is also friendly. Did I purchase more food? Yes! Didn't you say you already went grocery shopping? Yes! I couldn't resist. By the time I left, I signed up for a reward card. I've found my new grocery store!!!! read more

Wow- the Lowe's Food stores had been redone about 2 years ago, and I hadn't been able to get there since, but I am definitely making a big effort now! The whole store redo is amazing! Produce is huge!! The fresh meat has fresh sausages, meats, and more stuff than I can remember! Great selection, as well as these cool sections of tables where they do tastings and classes. Great job on the renovation!! Love the store and the sausage factory and the chicken area. The theme is of this store is local. You will see local streets as names for the register lanes and the school names for parts of the store for the areas. Always clean, friendly and easy to find whatever you need - you can find me in the Beer Den. The Beer Den is this fun little craft beer and wine section of the store, beer on tap (up to two pints) and a growler station so that you can take some of your new discoveries home too! They have a few tables, convenient because you can buy food in the deli and come here to eat it with a beer! The staff is great, good with recommendations and suggestions. This store is such a treasure in the heart of Harrisburg! I would describe Lowes as a cross between a public and a Harris teeter. It's a very nice grocery store with a few cool things! The first thing is that they offer planted fresh herbs that u can cut pieces off of. Also when a bell rings the workers come out and do a chicken dance. Speaking of chicken-they have great fried chicken. Also they offer fun things for kids like coloring and crafts in the grocery area. I liked the new look. I went in today to get chicken noodle soup from the salad bar. The container was empty. A really nice guy came to help me and said he'd just clocked in and he'd check to see if they had more. After he discovered there was none, He informed me that he had to "Take it out of the bag and thaw it out." I declined politely. I bought their grape chicken salad, when I got home it was frozen... Like a rock." They want to appear "Farm Fresh" and "Homemade" but if everything in the deli is manufactured at an offsite location, I'll take my business back to Publix. read more

I was hesitant to start shopping at Lowes Foods because quite frankly, I didn't know what it was all about. You see, I grew up shopping at Food Lion and Harris Teeter and my first job was as a cashier for Bi-Lo. Lowe's Foods is totally new to me. One day last year, I took the plunge and walked on in. I am totally in love now. They've got a great Produce selection, an awesome array of NC dehydrated snacks such as Veggie chips and various nuts, pretzels. They have a decent selection from their deli and are one of the few places in Concord/Harrisburg that sells Boars Head meats. They offer a Salad bar daily as well as various loaves of fresh baked Gourmet breads. I frequently stop in on my commute to work and pick up a sub and bag of Utz chips for lunch for under 5 bucks. If you are anything like me and venture off the grid with your grocery list searching for gluten free items and out of the norm. grains then you'll love their selection. They carry most of the Bob's Red Mill items as well as Full Circle Organic. They have the best selection of Cage Free, Organic or Humanely raised chicken eggs. Lowe's Foods also offers their Lowe's to Go ordering in which you can order online before 3 p.m. and they'll have your order ready for you by a set time. I recently used this amenity and I will be doing this more often. It was a great convenience, especially on a Friday when you just don't want to deal with the lines and people. Like most other stores they offer a discount gas card which you can use at Wilco and Hess gas stations. I've never really loved a grocery store before but I love my Lowe's Foods. I'm a big Fan of Lowes Foods, I have to admit one of the biggest reasons I love it so much is they have the best.....Pistachio Muffins ever made !!! It's the only place in town I know that has this particular type of Huge Green Pistachio Muffin with an awesome sugar topping . Sadly all the stores by where I live closed down and the only one left is in Harrisburg North Carolina that I know of . So I guess I will be looking for cupcake and muffin bakeries next to find a replacement. Absolutely my favorite grocer! We have been shopping here since the store first opened in Harrisburg and the staff is always friendly and helpful. We love the produce, seafood and meat markets and the Beer Den is a definite plus! They regularly run incredible sales and I love to buy whole cuts on sale and cut them down myself for grilling or smoking. The deli makes wonderful sandwiches and their store-fried chicken is the best we've had anywhere! I often joke they are the best restaurant in town! They are constantly innovating and finding new products or services to offer. We used to love Publix when we lived in Miami, but they opened here too late to tempt us to change from Lowes Foods! read more

Between the people and the customer service, and addressing any problems, Lowes has got it covered! I would go between Harris Teeter and Lowes, and now I find myself at Harris Teeter once a week, and Lowes 3-4 times a week. I also have a special needs child that runs the shopping cart with me and everyone is so helpful and kind and understanding! They also have the best seafood!! And Fried Chicken!! And produce!!
