Yes, we all know Lowes Foods has an amazing local food selection, lovely vegetables, cool little beer area and cozy coffee bar but have you seen their cut flowers & plant department? I buy fresh flowers every week (3 bunches for $12) and the lillies are always jaw droppers! The floral arrangements are gorgeous and have the healthiest life span, I have had some bloom and stay sturdy for two weeks, while changing the water every third day. Just wanted to say how impressed I am with the fresh cut flowers at the Kernersville location plus this store is open until 11pm so go treat yourself to some fresh blooms after making it through another 8 hours at work, you deserve it! read more

I came here for a coffee break. I've discovered this is the best price in town for crafted coffees. The staff is nice and the baristas are located inside the beer den. This is directly across from prepared foods for anyone who wants to pick up lunch items. I'll definitely be back for an iced coffee. read more

Been shopping at this location for quite some time, ever since they opened after closing their original location At the corner of hwy 150 and Piney Grove Rd. At first, it was a great store, clean, excellent service, and the added benefit of a Beer Den. Produce was fresh, deli was complete with good food, and shelves always stocked. My spouse and I enjoyed the new store. Prices were even reasonable. Now, can't say this store is worth a visit. Cashiers don't show interest in customer service, produce isn't all that fresh, and everything seems to shut down before 8pm. One case in point, we arrive at Beer Den at 7:30pm to fill a growler. Hours state they are open everyday til 8pm. All taps were locked and Den was closed. We asked for service at service desk. 15 minutes later manager comes to desk and claims they are closed. We showed them the clock showed 7:45pm. All the manager could say was "sorry". This is the third occurrence when we've arrived only to be turned away. We are done with this location. Customer service is much better elsewhere. read more

DO NOT BUY YOUR PRODUCE HERE. Staff and Lowe's corporate have been made aware multiple times that their produce is either mouldy on the display, or within a day of purchase. All the items are overpriced anyway, so it is really disrespectful to not even put out a superior product. Besides the produce, another example is that they mark up their mozzarella about three dollars compared to the other grocery stores that have the same brand. It's unclear whether Kate is unable to problem solve effectively, or if she just doesn't care. There are other issues with the store, but food that goes bad almost immediately is just outrageous. read more

Love the store itself, love the location, not so much the smart-alec attitude of the young workers. A few days ago, I spent over $400 and had a variety of goods. The young man ringing the items up, was polite enough other than acting like he was at a race(no one really waiting behind me at the time), so the groceries were hauling the mail down to their destiny! No one around to catch things as the heavy items were squashing the variety of fruits I had bought, so I started bagging the heavy things first, myself. The young man that finally came up and said he's get it, would give me no time to finish inserting the long clumsy tray of chicken into a bag, when I was in the middle of it. I said ok, but kept at me...it was either drop the dang chicken in the floor or finish getting it in the bag! Then I politely asked them to put things into 2 buggies as a young woman came up to help, and both were putting large cans of vegetables in with bananas and grapes(they got "smushed"), my clorox in with a pineapple, etc. I said thank you so much, but it was obvious they didn't want to bag and load all those groceries, and never acknowledged me. Attitude and manners are everything..especially when one is polite and have asked.... AND have spent well over $400 for groceries! I spend a lot of money at this store...especially for the tenderloins I buy every holiday and family birthdays. I'm pretty sure I'm not the first to be treated rudely. ....I didn't mention last year when I ordered a large amount of flowers and balloons for a special occasion, from an older woman, set a time to pick up, and the person working pick-up day had no idea! I go to the Lowe's in Oak Ridge, NC now for flowers even if it is a bit out of my way! That lady is the bomb! read more

Lowes Kernersville. This is an update to the update to the update. Lately this place has increased their prices while decreasing their service. So as a result I will decrease my rating of your store to 3 stars, closer to where it is on a good day.. far less on a bad one. Almost everything in this store is more expensive than it is anywhere else. Lettuce at Lowes is $1.99. At another major grocery store its 99 cents. Just one example of many. This is not the organic lettuce either. Plain lettuce. The smoker is still a cool feature.. but they dont put anything out until noon, and a lot of times I'm out looking for something to eat way before then. At another major grocery store I find items they have cooked out at 10am. Way more convenient. The people working here have just slipped, thats all there is to it. Early one Sunday morning I had a few words with a "manager" as I entered the store before he gave me a smart remark and walked off. On at least 3 other occasions I had rude unprofessional cashiers that required me to get another "manager" to solve some stupid issue that shouldnt have been an issue in the first place. I have to constantly remind these people that I'm the customer here, and this is a premium grocery store. As such I expect premium service. Otherwise I will just go somewhere else. Which is what I have been doing. I can get lettuce anywhere! Its a very pretty and well organized store. It still has some good items in the smoker.... if you can wait until after noon.. The deli is hit or miss. Same for the chicken kitchen. It all depends on WHO is working that day. There is just too much lack of consistency on the service level here. Management is not doing their job. The beer den. I still like the fact that I can come in here and get a beer in a grocery store. The only problem is that all of the cool bartenders have left, and the ones that are here now must have come from Brewers Kettle, cause they suck. Yes I said it. This store started out strong, but has fallen victim to the crappy lack of quality people that plagues so many stores now days. Its like nobody cares about anything. Maybe I just got spoiled from the early years here when I got greeted every time I came in with a smile, special deals and superior treatment at the bar, along with free food. Its a different store now. Some exceptions to the rule is the guy who gets carts, and bags sometimes on day side. He still delivers service thats above and beyond. They should make him manager and fire the dunce they have now. Cakery attendant. Speaks to me every time I see him and always asks to help me. Even when he is taking out the trash. It doesnt get any better than this. I still shop here at times. Just not as much as I used to. read more

I hardly ever come to Kernersville anymore so I hadn't had the opportunity to check out this "newer" location of Lowe's Foods. Back in the day, when I was a wee pre-teen, I worked for a Lowe's Foods and it was less than glamorous. (That location no longer exists.) Lowe's Foods has clearly done a complete makeover to their stores, branding, everything....this was like the Disney World of grocery stores. Everything was so beautifully laid out, organized, well stocked, clean, and it just made you want to shop. Way to go! Some of the things I loved were the wine and beer area. It's very inviting and well spread out with incredible descriptors for each featured wine. It appeared that when there isn't a pandemic going on, they would be conducting wine tastings and pairing it with food. I loved the different featured sections around the store (sausage, dairy, bakery, fresh food, and they even have a coffee/beer bar). Their bread and fresh baked good section was incredible! We purchased more than we should have and everything tasted delicious. When I'm in the area, I would definitely choose this grocery store over any other. read more

Good store, nice variety. I just don't understand why they have offers available for people who check-in to the store and then do not honour the offers. I spoke to a store assistant and the store manager, however, they were unable to accept my Yelp offer for the store (put up by Lowes Foods themselves!) they stated that they needed a barcode or print out, which is not the way this offer was working on the app. Maybe let all of your staff / store managers know about offers that you are doing so that customers don't get their hopes up for nothing? read more

This location has several specialty shops around the inner walls, including sandwich's, hot foods, sausages, a bakery, coffee shop and tap room style bar with a good selection of craft beer. You can even shop and enjoy a draft as you do. Great variety of craft 6 packs too. On recent returns I find the staff has been very well trained in the register operations and has a general knowledge of the craft beer selections in the Beer Den. Updated review: I will update/remove the 1st halve of this post in a few months just want to leave the 1st portion so that anyone that either read or had issues can see I had problems but it's looks to have been resolved. after voicing my issues the manager reached about my concerns. He advised that all issues should be back to the standards I am accustomed to for Lowe's food. So I came back and for the last 2.5 months he has been correct, great fresh product throughout. The quality now matches the decor. I'm glad to see that my North Carolina born grocery store ,that I've support my entire adult life, is back to what it's always been. read more

I have been very impressed with this Lowe's! They have a great selection of food, wine, beer, and fresh food (chicken, subs, salad bar, sushi). The staff has been friendly and the prices are generally cheaper than Harris Teeter but steeper than Walmart or Food Lion in my experience. read more

I was so glad when this Lowes relocated from Piney Grove Shopping Center. The old store felt outdated and in need of a facelift. This new store has a bar and section dedicated to bbq meats. Plus it is one of the very few grocery stores that doubles coupons in the area. Bonus points from me. The staff is wonderful and helpful too. read more

I love this location as well as the atmosphere. I just went at 11 and I was immediately greeted and while shopping asked if I needed help locating anything!
