Bottom line: This Lewisville Lowes Foods location is a nice clean store with good selection and positive helpful staff. Nice deli/prepared foods choices offered that are a pretty good option if not feeling like cooking. Would prefer more staffed cashier lines instead of self checkout use, but a good grocery store. The Deets: When visiting my folks back where I grew up, I accompany them to this Lowes Food grocery location in Lewisville. It has always presented as a clean store with lots to offer just beyond the normal grocery store fare. Whenever stopping in for quick grocery stops, we sometimes use their deli/hot foods/prepared foods section when we are not in the mood to cook that night. They do have good prepared chicken tenders/strips and the marinated pork loin I had recently was good as well. Having these stations available are a nice convenience, especially when the foods are prepared well. Those that may want to have a beer/beverage during their shopping stop, they do have a nice little beer bar located within the store as well. Staff have been helpful and positive on my trips here also. With the grocery selection itself, they always appear well stocked with good choices. One thing I do notice is that they do not have a lot of staffed cashier lines open (noticeable on a particular Saturday afternoon, when you'd hope they might have more than one line open) which drives shoppers to use the self checkout area. I know this trend is happening at a lot of places, but when the one line open is queued up pretty long, well, one can see what the preference for checkout is with customers, it would seem. I am not one that uses self checkout personally unless I have very few items (and the kiosks frequently need assistance when encountering an issue). I did so this day to avoid the line. Other than that, Lowes Foods in Lewisville has been a great food shopping stop with plenty of selection in a nice store atmosphere. read more

My young daughter was recently diagnosed with Celiac and it was such a comfort to walk into Lowe's this morning. It made my shopping experience a breeze, since all the aisles are labeled with the Gluten free tags. I didn't have to second guess or spend hours looking at the back of each label of small print. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. They had a variety of gluten free snacks and everyday buys. Of course if it is packaged labeled it's more expensive, downfall to trying to stay healthy. read more

My wife and I recently moved to the area and today was the first time I checked out the local Lowes Foods and I was really impressed! The store is well stocked, clean and organized. There also seemed to be an adequate number of employees working throughout the store. This is my first time in a Lowes Foods so I can't compare to other stores but I thought the following areas were especially cool: - Calendar where the shopping carts are located pointing out special events; - Beer Den with taps and growlers available for filling with your favorite brew; - Tomato Bar allowing you to mix and match; - Chicken Kitchen allowing you to purchase a half rotisserie chicken; - Very nice salad bar allowing you to build to your liking; - A "clip your own herbs" area; - Live Lobster; - Lowes will steam your seafood for free to meet your needs; - "Shop Carolina" signage pointing out local options for shoppers. I'm anxious to bring my wife here, I really think she will love it. I also learned that Lowes is headquartered in Winston-Salem! read more

I visited this Lowes Foods with a friend on my day off to have a couple mimosas. It was around 11 am, which is early but it was my day off so we thought hey why not. We walk in and Rick, the bartender gruffly tells us he's cleaning the beer lines they wont be serving for 2 hours, we say thats fine we wanted mimosas anyways. We go to check out and he charges us $6 for each mimosa. I frequent a nearby Lowes and they charge $3 for their mimosas. My friend was questioning him about it and he says "do you still want it?" she says no and he snaps it off the counter and splashes it in the sink. I just pay for them because I dont want to argue. We sit down, are discussing it and a manager comes over to him at the bar they discuss something and the manager walks away. Then Rick, walks over to us slams $6 and some change on the table and says "You got a deal today" quite rudely. How is it a "deal"? Why wouldn't all Lowes foods charge consistently from store to store for the same drink? The kicker of the whole thing is they have their "specialty" mimosas for $4.99! We just got regular ones. So how is a regular mimosa more expensive than one with add-ons? I was just going to move on with my day until he came over and slapped the money on the table and made that snide remark! So I went to guest services and asked the manager on duty about it and he couldn't have been more lost. Basically said Rick handles it all. I was so frustrated by this point I couldn't get my thoughts out the way I wanted he probably thought I was drunk, but I dont care! He knew he did something wrong or why else why would he have called the manager over to fix his mistake! This Lowes Foods is one of the grocery stores that we go to frequently. They have a good choice of vegetables and meets. I wish they had more fruit and larger packages of things like strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. They have a good wine and beer selection and even have a bar area where you can get 6-10 beers on tap as you walk around the store. This used to be my FAVORITE grocery store, and the location is so convenient to my house... but here lately I've been really struggling with it. The produce is just not where it used to be. I know there are supply chain issues happening right now, but I've been to several other nearby groceries stores, and even Walmart, and found fresher produce. Additionally, with the cost increases on so many items in today's market, you really want to ensure you're getting a good product that doesn't go bad shortly after purchasing. I recently got home with a $10 package of bacon that had expired that day. I should've checked, but I was super disappointed, as you wouldn't expect that to be out on the floor for purchase. A few months ago I had a run of really unfriendly cashiers, but that seems to be getting better recently. Chris always bags our groceries and asks if we need help out. He has worked there for so long and is ALWAYS so kind and greets me! He is consistently great. He is a great asset to the store! I really love the pre-shredded rotisserie chicken, but it seems to be hit or miss on whether or not they keep it. Please make this a staple! It is so convenient. I like the layout a lot, and the people who do the to-go orders are also very nice and efficient. I really need better produce to get this back up to 5 stars! read more

Does Lowe's Food in Lewisville have a new manager? It seems like it's going downhill fast. Everyone used to be so friendly and professional. Now a lot of the cashiers are on their phones, not very friendly, and some will stand around and talk with each other instead of jumping in to help or bag something. It's bizarre. I've been going there for years because it was so great pretty much every time, and now the last handful of times I've been it just seems a bit..ghetto maybe is the word. As much as I love lowes foods, the beer den master here was quite rude. Asked for four samples and she said 'wait you only get 4, you better watch it or you'll piss me off and I'll only give you 2...' I didn't say anything out of the way, she just asked what I'd like to try and I told her, also I didn't exceed the 4 sample limit... she then proceeded to pour them one at a time and after every one ask if I 'still wanted to do the rest of them' and wasn't amused when I said yes. The four I wanted to sample were the only things on the menu I was interested in. After finally getting the samples, I asked for a pour of one of them and the response was 'ugh all that for that one' so I cashed out, had my pour and left. For someone that loves this business, and goes most days, this was the first time I was put off by an employee. I'll be back to Lowe's foods, but not this location while she works unless something changes. read more

I am in love with all Lowes foods. They have honestly kicked it a notch above the rest and all others need to step up. They have areas for everything you want and need and they deliver. I mean, there's a damn bar in the store and if that is encouragement enough to go grocery shopping I'm not sure what is. Every store has the different departments and you can get whatever you want. I definitely recommend going to the sausage factory and the butcher. They always have different cuts of meat and sometimes they have dry age. I don't think you'll ever be disappointed and also really love the deli section they have a great selection of chicken salad and sides that you need for all your summer cookouts. read more
