I'm doing a snowbird rental for the month on the Golden Mile and came here for the Friday Half Rack of Ribs Special for $8.00. I saw a video on it and the grocery store a month ago or so. The store is pretty cool with a bar where you can get a flight of beers , a coffee shop not a Starbucks , dry aged beef in the butcher shop , nice produce , and everything in between. The employees are very nice and helpful. The store is clean and well organized. They also have a gas station on the premises as well as other shops and restaurants in the shopping plaza. My only complaint is it's in Carolina Forest. After getting groceries and gas I went to the exit with stop light to make a left turn and I was in a huge line that wasn't moving. The traffic light would only cycle to the Yellow Turn Signal so only one car at a time was getting through. It was super busy with traffic. I changed lanes and made a right to go down to another light and turn around to make a left at that light which did do the Green Left Turn Signal. I made it the 3rd cycle. I heard about traffic here , but didn't know it was this bad. So I won't be returning here for this reason. Food Lion is only about a mile or 2 away from where I'm staying and unfortunately the ribs I came to get were not even that good ! Dang. read more

Went here on Tuesday September 16th 2025 with my parents. We were going to have dinner at my Aunt's and decided to come here to find a dessert to bring there Since it is on the way. We grabbed a wagon from the front, and walked towards the bakery section. We looked, and found some items. We found an apple danish cake, and we also found a cake variety pack of Lemon, Vanila, Chocolate, and cinamon. While they have a few options of the variety packages, glad that we found something. We then went to the cashier, and paid via a credit card. Cashier was pleasant with the transaction. Store was clean and organized. Hope to be back soon for shopping needs! read more

We stopped here on our way to Topsail from Charleston and it was a really lovely grocery store. It was very clean and had a lot of different options to choose from, no matter what you're looking for! I ended up grabbing some yogurt for a snack as well as some Gatorade zero and water. Nothing crazy or special but this is definitely a solid spot to get what you need- especially on a road trip! read more

I have been shopping at Lowes Foods for over 11 years. It is a privately owned chain of grocery stores with the main office based in North Carolina. It is not a Super Center, but it does have a nice selection of quality meats, fish and poultry. If you want a special cut, the butchers are happy to help. Their produce department. is sizable for a grocery store this size and offers some organic produce. There is also a bakery that produces a decent amount of cakes, cookies and breads, for its small size. There is a beer bar in there, with select beers and bar stools. I don't drink so I have not imbibed. The star of this store is they have Boars Head cold cuts, as well as NY style potato salad. If you're from the north, you know how important these delicacies are to us. My husband also enjoys their Knishes and he's from Brooklyn. A large bar height table is there for those who prefer to eat in the store, but I hardly see anyone use it. Lowes Foods has a decent selection of dry goods, frozen, health and dairy products. If you're a senior over 60 years of age, on Wednesday they offer a .05% discount on your foods. I have visited several chains and they are very much the same. I've been to Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island. This is a very clean store, the employees are always friendly and helpful and I do appreciate supporting the locals. read more

Love Lowes. Clean and spacious. Can walk around with a glass of wine if you'd like. Theres a wide selection of lunch and dinner items to pick up if you don't feel like cooking yourself. Lowes is amazing! We stopped in to grab a bottle of wine. Lowes is unlike any other grocery store. It's conveniently located in the back of the Carolina Forest community. Prices are on the high end so don't expect to get a bargain. But the quality is unbeatable. They offer a new Gather 'Round the Table event each day which encourages community interaction through tutorials and classes. The calendar is located on a chalk board at the front of the store. You can purchase beer and wine from the Beer Den and sip while you shop. The store is well lit and very organized. read more

The first thing that we do upon arrival at a vacation destination is find a good grocery store. Yelp helped us find a local grocery store in Myrtle Beach named Lowe's. It is more of an up-scale grocery store. They even provide delivery to our timeshare! I was pleased to be able to find some items that I had difficulty finding elsewhere. One of those items was ginger root and another was red lentals. I also tried a pre-prepared lobster bisque soup that was delicious. The store is clean and nicely organized. They have a bakery and great fruit and vegetable section (see pictures) Again, there were fruits and vegetables here that I never saw elsewhere like a tomato bar made up of unique tomatoes. The first display upon walking into Lowe's, who by the way, share the same script 'L' in their logo design ad Lowe's Home Improvement Center, was a Cut Your Own Herb area. Scissors tied to a string with plastic bags allow for a snip and drop, very cool concept. Kyle in the deli dept came off very rude and brash but after a few words in reply, we were talking like old pals as he sliced away a few samples for me of some beautiful cold cuts. A dedicated sausage dept? Heck yes, a seafood department that caught my attention, baked goods with a mile wide southern charming smile and a sweet lady slicing green peppers in another department asking how I was and could she help me with my shopping endeavors. What a great level of customer service, clearly second to none, perhaps surpassing Chick Fila as to warmth and genuine customer care. Beautiful produce, well stocked shelves of items not Whole Foods high end, but takes Good Lion and Piggly Wiggly to the rack. I think they sell a nice array of beers as I caught a fleeting glimpse as I proceeded to check out where I encountered more fabulous managerial type employees. read more

I usually stop at Kroger, but my friend had to to do some family shopping. Iowrs food is usually a little more than Kroger but you can buy beer while you shop. As far as "buyer beware" goes, that is a bad combination, like drinking and gambling! But really, craft beer while shopping is an awesome idea. I will come with my friend to shop and sample beer. But don't trust it by myself! read more

4.5 - down 1/2 star for prices. In fairness, the higher prices are more than accounted for by the increase in quality. Unlike a nearby competitor, I've never gotten bad produce or stale bakery from this store. The meat and seafood are great quality and the sausage shop is a treat. The freezer choices aren't as prolific as some others though. The wine and beer selection is more than adequate and well priced. Produce selection is very good - the only place any better is the farmer's market. The store is well staffed and very clean. Lighting is outstanding. ps: don't do the self checkout if you'll be needing help - it's a SELF checkout. It's better to use a register anyway, there's a job lost to every automated station. So I bought a small apple pie that was sitting with all the other pies out on a display the day before thanksgiving. Got up the next morning to cook and it was molded. I took it back to customer service that Saturday and the CS rep who was at the counter asked me if I wanted another. I said no thanksgiving is over and how do I know that won't mold too. She then began to scold me that I should have put it in the refrigerator and it was my fault it molded. I mentioned that none of those pies were refrigerated. Since I didn't have my receipt she was not going to refund my money. Once I asked for the manager she gave me a gift card. She was very rude. Will stick to Publix from now on read more

This is our favorite grocery store in Myrtle Beach. The staff is very friendly including Jackie and James in the deli, Johnny in sausage works and Ken in the beer den. They all have a great personality and are very accommodating. We highly suggest going there on Thursday nights. read more

I must first begin and thank James for his hospitality and customer service. I was getting some late-night snacks when I asked James for direction on where something was. More importantly, he was kind. This is my family's neighborhood grocery store and we thank the staff and management for their attention and knowledge of items in the store. Very kind and very knowledge. I recommend James as the recipient to any company incentives. He mentioned to us that he works in the deli, but was currently on late night restocking when we talked to him. This showed his versatility and commitment to the company and community. This gentleman is the definition of customer service and he will thrive in any position. If the opportunity is there, he will thrive. Great store, friendly staff, very clean. I visit there regularly 2-3 times a week and just about everyone is always so friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Dropped one star due to if you go to the chicken kitchen an hour before it closes they will not cook you anything they are out of, such as chicken...if the kitchen don't close till 8pm then food should be supplied till 8pm. I have been patronizing this grocery since moving to MB. I average 800.00 per month in purchases. I went to redeem the stamps I've been saving for two free baking dishes since they are ending this program this weekend. I saved stamps from the holidays to put toward this "freebie". They wouldn't take them. They would only take the ones since January and those I saved from the holidays were disqualified. How ridiculous that the management is so foolish as to alienate a shopper who is loyal- coming in multiple times weekly over a free baking dish from a bogus shoppers incentive. I pass two other stores on my way to Lowe's. Using my gas points up now and I'll stop paying the premium for all of the "niceties". Publix , here I come. I went into this store hoping to find an item I had been searching for. The store is clean and very well put together. However, at the self check out there was no one there to assist if there was an issue. I paid with my Apple Pay using my phone, went through the system of questions and followed. I received a "scanning message". I waited for 5 minute for someone to fix the machine. Her name was Mary. Very rude, no good costumer service who told me I couldn't have possibly done it right. Once the order was finished she too a big sigh and said "God get over yourself" nice job on training your team members. We won't be returning. read more

Lowes is one of our favorite places to shop. Since International Drive has opened, we are only 9 miles from this particular Lowes location. We are always happy to find items that are difficult to find at other grocery stores such as sushi, seaweed salad, large wine/beer selections and more. Your store is very clean and well organized. We love your bakery and Deli...We often purchase your delicious grape chicken salad...On the negative side: We always wonder why the grapes are not cut up in your salad. A fruited chicken salad sandwich cannot easily be made without cutting your grapes in half much less using your fruited chicken salad for an appetizer with crackers. From our experiences, all other delis/restaurants cut up their fruits. My husband asked your Deli today about the whole grapes in your fruited salad... The response was actually out of character from your courteous and very helpful staff. He brushed the comment off to "having a bad day." I always do my grocery shopping here, with the exception of produce. Once I had strawberries that were molded by the next day, and another time the same thing happened with tomatoes. The prices are a little higher than other grocery stores, so you need to keep an eye out for sales or buy Lowes brand products. The beer den allows you to drink while you shop, which is unlike and other grocery store I've been in. I have also enjoyed the pizzas, sausages, and other foods they cook up to eat there or immediately at home. read more
