Always a great selection, even though they are priced higher than area food stores. Especially love the floral area when you walk in.

I will say there are some very nice employees at this Walmart so that saves them some for sure. Things being stocked is hit or miss. Drive up pickup is the worst at this Walmart out of the many we have dealt with. We have had numerous issues of various kinds with them. There are things they'll mark as out of stock when it's definitely in stock. According to their pick up members they've been out of stock of bananas, bread, milk, and other items almost every time in the recent past. Sometimes I'll send my husband in for the items that were marked out of stock and almost every time he finds the items exactly where they're supposed to be and far from out of stock. The bathrooms are usually pretty okay. The handicap accessibility is pretty good at this store as they are usually pretty good about having their carts charged and ready for individuals who need them and they don't block them with the shopping carts. Overall this Walmart has its quirks, but it's not a terrible experience

While driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, my girlfriend and I had to stop to get some gas. Not familiar…read morewith the area, we got off the parkway and started driving towards the closest small town looking for a gas station. That's when we came upon this place in rural North Carolina. We pulled up to the gas pumps which were straight out of the 1950s. No digital display, no credit card swipe, just those old fashion wheels displaying the price and number. It was clearly labeled as not accepting credit cards, so we ventured inside the little rundown structure. The place looked like it hadn't been updated in quite some time. The counter was on the left, featuring items such as beef jerky, gum, candy, and socks. There was also a menu on the wall featuring a variety of sandwiches. Against the right wall was a bunch of old used toys for sale, really selling the backwoods authenticity of the place. The lady behind the counter was in the middle of making some sandwiches for four older gentlemen sitting at a table watching a TV from the early 1990s (they immediately stopped talking when we entered). I gave the very friendly lady $20 for gas and went back outside. The pump as a lever on the side you need to push down to reset the old display. After a few minutes, the pump filled off my gas tank and stopped automatically at $19.98 (close enough). We were on our way back to the Blue Ridge Parkway. This place gets five stars because, honestly, it was pretty awesome. After driving for hundreds of miles on touristy roads and attractions, it was a nice break to see some rural North Carolina establishments.
