This Lowe's is ok for the occasional need. However, it is always disorganized and dirty compared the Lowe's in Fayetteville and Princeton. Hard to find an employee to help especially in the appliance section. Need a few hundred square feet of hardwood flooring and plan on buying a new dishwasher and will plan on going to another location to get better service. read more

I'll never buy another appliance from Lowes. They can't deliver except through a third party and our experience was simply unacceptable. Mouthy guy that 'thinks he knows everything' who wouldn't be allowed back on my property for any reason. We asked them to leave and went directly to Home Depot who fulfilled our order quickly and with extra care and were very professional. Beckley is also in delivery range. He refused to leave the product so i was forced to get a refund and against my will was mailed a gift card in the place of my cash i spent i was so disappointed and frustrated.. Just returned from the Fayetteville Lowes and yelling at the night manager. Went to their website and found no place to voice complaints - so that's how I ended up here. I have been shopping at the Fayetteville WV Lowes for nearly 20 years, spending easily thousands every year, sometimes tens of thousands - this problem has never been solved and I'm not sure why. There are times when a cart that can carry 10' lengths of something are required - plumbing, electrical, fence supplies, lumber. EVERY TIME the nearest cart is at one end of the store - so EVERY TIME I walk the 1/2 mile to retrieve the cart that is required. Sometimes but almost never, you find one, other times they are all full with customer orders that have been pulled eventually to be loaded on a delivery truck or being used by the employees to move materials from the back to the store to the shelves, still other times you can't find a cart anywhere in the store - that's because there are 50 of them out in the parking lot!!!! ITS PRETTY SIMPLE - GET MORE CARTS OR BRING THEM IN FROM THE PARKING LOT! This has been going on for 20 years!!! Also while I'm on a rant - can the plumbing department please order 3/4" male pipe to 1/2" pex fittings??? You have been out of them on and off for over 5 years or more. Every time I go to buy one - the slot is EMPTY! The reason you are always out of them? People buy them - that's why they sell out - solution?? STOCK MORE!!! Pretty simple! I'm certain this will do no good - makes me feel a tiny bit better. If there was another local option - I would take my business there in a heartbeat! read more

Had multiple deliverys all in which had issues. Sad lowes use to Value their Customer's. We where the bread & butter that grew their business. Now they focuse only on contracts and insureing the big buy gets took care of. Third party contracts that get sent out with our stuff. more excuses why they can't do something today. Why it has to reschedule multiple times and other people be put in front of you. when your product gets there they aren't trained or certified to even get the product in the house they want to leave it in your yard. or take it back to the store, or you do it. you have waited so long for it your doing their job for them. lowes infacts before sending delivery drivers out had to be certified trained safety. these people lowes has delivery stuff? don't hold the same standards what has happened! dose the little peoples dollar mean nothing these day!? I know I have spent remodeling bathroom, floors, lights, appliance, doors, and so much more the last couple or weeks. we still aren't finished. but its sad I have had to bring back cause they wouldn't pick back up the damage product they delivered I paid and waited for ever for. or the second time the left it out side in the rain/snow, told my 15 year daughter she would have to bring it in. get it together! this really needs improvement! go back to how you use to be. when us use to care & have standards! read more

We love Lowe's! A little disappointed that they don't carry activated charcoal (literally no one in this area does) but we love to visit the store. Definitely my favorite place in Beckley to train, and to send my students to train. The majority of the employees are nice (please fix their air conditioner though so they don't all have heatstrokes). Also I was stoked to find out that they price match! I got my washing machine from here last December, signed up delivery but over the weekend I was able to get transportation for it, so we went and picked it up from them instead and I asked the lady to cancel our delivery. On 6 Nov 2022, 2 incompetent individuals delivered & made a sorry attempt to install a gas stove for my 81 y.o. grandmother. They had advised her that she needed some sort of adapter which she agreed to leave & purchase. After they realized another individual was in the house (myself) they then stated one was located & that she no longer needed to get one. Later that night, I was hit with the worst headache I've ever had. After 72 hours of being confined to a dark bedroom, I noticed a heavy gas smell omitting from the "newly installed" oven. Long story short, the gas company had to come out for the awesome gas leak caused by 2 persons who have zero business installing appliances. They DID not have the adapter they claimed to have which could've gotten many people killed. If there had been a spark of any sort in this house, I wouldn't be writing this review right now & my neighbors would be blown away as well. To put a cherry on top of what COULD'VE been a complete tragedy to say the least, I'm 6 months pregnant & suffer from traumatic brain injury due to previous combat deployments as a dog handler... pretty disgusting, to put things lightly. Whoever those 2 persons are, action should be taken ASAP to avoid a future explosion. This type of negligence is completely unacceptable! My favorite store to walk through to shop for items off the shelf. That's where the buck stops for me. I have been dealing with two orders with an install paid for for some time now. The items and install have been paid for. I've called the installers about getting an install date , their comment is "no work order". This song and dance has gone on for days. After phone calls and a couple of visits to Lowes customer service I've come to the conclusion that Beckley Lowes management has s lot to be desired, seriously! It's obvious there no one guiding the ship. I would suggest, if you buy something at Lowes, do not pay for installation. read more

My wife placed an online order for 12 bags of mulch. We received an email informing us that our order was ready to be picked up. In the meantime, they charged our credit card. When we showed up to pick up our order, we were told by an "associate" that the store was sold out of that mulch. As opposed to offering us a different type of mulch, or refunding our money, we were told we would have to return to the store the following day with our receipt to be refunded for a product we were never able to pick up in the first place! Was looking to email corporate I was in Lowes located Beckley wv on 04-03-23 at around 8:00 and we was looking for play sand for my sons sand box.And we went back there to look and every bit was really old had rips in it and soaking wet.So I went up to the lady at lumber desk and after she ignored me for over 5 minutes talking to someone and looking at me she told me she would call someone to maybe get sand off the top shelf but probably would not happen.We waited about half hour with another lady waiting for the same thing finally a older gentleman showed up that works there with a attitude saying there is nothing he could do I told him I only needed 6 bags.He started to sigh and said loudly I will have to find help and proceed to throw the old wet bags on pallet.And got smart with the next lady saying do you not want the wet sand she said no I do not and he got smart and said I don't know what u want me to do.I was suggesting he could get a lift and get the better bags on top and he told us he was not allowed and even if he did they are no better without even looking.If that's the case why even have them so disappointed hiring such crap staff that does not care.Everytime I come to this Lowes employees will see you approaching to ask a question they will literally run away.Horrible experience. read more

Highly Disappointed with Lowe's Store#1888!!! I went to purchase a refrigerator last Friday. The employee in Appliances physically went back to make sure they had the one I had chosen in stock. Purchased done and scheduled for delivery the next Tuesday. I took the day off work to be there for the delivery. By noon on Tuesday, I was calling to see what the issue was, Called 3 times, was put on hold until the system disconnected the call. Finally, got ahold of the delivery department; only to find out that they did not have any in stock and the one I had purchased was sold to someone else on Saturday. They also said that they weren't sure when they would be getting more in. I went to the store to speak with manager, but the customer Service Rep- Mamie was rude and not helpful at all. She made several phone calls, then said that all she could do is refund my money and it may take up to 24-48hrs for it to go back in to my account. I asked about getting it from another location and was told it is not their policy to pull inventory form other locations--- (BS, I know that not true). read more

Adam vs Bob. I went into the store looking for a few things for some home improvement projects. I gathered everything per usual asking reps along the way, where is this, where is that, and usually everyone being so helpful. Then came for the last item. I was looking on my phone and it said there were 24 items still available, then I went to the exact location it said it was at. I searched... didn't find anything. I asked a representative where this particular item was, and he showed me the same location. Then I found Adam and told him that it shows there are 24 products still available online but they aren't in the location. Now this guy didn't even have the audacity to lift his head and look me in the eye. I tried to show him my phone showing what it said and the item location but he was short with me and didn't give me the time of day. He seriously didn't even look up from his desk after standing there explaining that it shows you have inventory of this item. Not just 1 or 2 items because sometimes its not there, but 24! He them proceeds to say if its not there its not there, we don't have it. So i take a walk, say "thanks Adam for the help," and go back to the location of where the table might be. I ask another representative named Bob and he looked at my phone, showed true character looking me in the eye and walking me over to the exact station I had been several times before. He looked in the section, welp not there... looked around a bit more.... bingo! Up in the rafters was a whole box of this inventory. He called over a forklift personal and got it all taken care of for me. In the end, thank you Bob for being great at what you do, and taking the time to take care of your customers as a gentleman with class. To everyone else, don't be a Adam. We have had enough of those.... Be like Bob. Be the good in the world and be great at what you do. PS. I later found out Adam was the boss. None the less... don't be a Adam. Be like Bob. read more

Absolutely disgusting people placed an order for a stove online for my elderly grandfather to replace one that went out in a rental property when originally placing the order from this store the delivery said it would arrive in 5-7 business days which is fine however we then got a updated email stating that the stove would not arrive until the 22nd of May which we were understanding about considering the pandemic going on even though this was an added week from the date well the 22nd came and we got an email that the stove was delivered however it was not the store had already closed the day of so we Called the next day and after being transferred around the store and customer service finally spoke to someone which I explained the situation to and she said she would transfer me to a supervisor then the phone line was ended which is really annoying when you've been on the line for an hour, I called back and went though it all a second time just to get sent to a supervisor and have the line ended again third call and they just disconnect the line annoyed I wait a day call back and finally talk to a "supervisor" which told me she had no idea how or what would cause this to happen said that she would take my phone number investigate this and call me back three days later no call I try calling the store again and end up in a big loop AGIAN at this point it's been 3 and a half weeks since the orders been placed!! Frustrated and against my wishes my diabetic elderly grandfather went to the store packed with people during this PANDEMIC to find out what was going on where he waited in line for 30 minutes to be told that the stove was on back order and they would update us when it ships.. something so simple that could had been said over the phone the whole reason we placed an online order was to avoid a trip to the store 2 days later we get an email the stove/range will be delivered on the 1st of June as I write this we have still yet to receive the stove/range the tenant is now confused and upset cause of this, this has been a complete mess as someone that works in customer service I am completely disgusted with the efforts of the employees at this store upon calling the store they say they have the range there in stock but they don't! like during this whole experience I never once was anything but understanding but the treatment by the employees at this store is unbelievable, will never shop here again hopes that this location gets a Home Depot I hear they actually care about their customers read more

Nickname Slowes and its increasingly frustrating to get anything from this place, since there are never enough registers open or service people on the floor. But as far as customer service goes they really try and most of them are very friendly too. I recently was part of project to have a local business renovated. Lowes was chosen for the convenience of getting everything at one place and unbeknownst to us having an Interior design service. The interior designer took measurements and pictures of the job site and toured the store with us selecting potential paint colors, flooring, etc. We were expecting to have a printed layout or digital design of what the space would look like including total price. This wasn't expected for now reason, we were literally told we would get that, but it never came. Instead just a big invoice listing what was ordered land confirmation of arriving deliveries.The materials ordered were not enough, incredibly overpriced, and had incorrect measurements. It took a lot of work by our contractor and the Lowes store manager to make it right. All these errors delayed our opening by 3 months. Lowes management was very helpful in the getting this situation corrected but I can't recommend their interior design service, which apparently is on an outside contract. read more
