I am a Lowe's Pro and a read several reviews. Not all but many were communication issues. Not unusual but communications goes both ways. I have found Lowe's to be the best communicator for any big box hardware. Delivery dates, times, time windows and installations are hardly Lowe's first hand problem as the transport and install is sublet. I get it as Lowe's made the connection. Still experience has shown me that most everyone uses the same delivery and install folks. Not the best at what they do or communicating. Exceptions about a product, I read on e about a Washing matching without an agitator. Not sure why that is critical but since it is, why wouldn't that be confirmed before you ordered it? read more

Inferior treatment as a customer I visited the CDA Lowe's to purchase several items a few of which required an associate to retrieve as these items are kept locked up I waited 20 minutes in which time several associates walked past I said hi and was ignored after 20 minutes I called the store as I was waiting got through to someone and was told someone would be right there after another 5 or so minutes I left I cannot believe that a store manager would allow this to happen!!! read more

Went in this past Tuesday, around 12:30ish to get 3 small paint samples so we could make our decision about a new color for our main bathroom. My wife had the paper samples with her and she got in line at the paint counter, behind one other couple. It took quite a bit to get someone to finally show up, and after he asked the other couple what they needed, he walked to another aisle and began helping two other people. After that , he proceeded to start unloading inventory on another aisle. Mind you, the "We Need Help" button has been going off in the store now for 15 minutes. As he started back to the paint counter, he asked again what the other couple needed. We left at that point, although I did stop to let a manager know who disgusted we were. She said she was sorry. read more

We bought a new refrigerator And a duel fuel stove...we were assured by the salesman that they could install both the refrigerator and stove "no problem" the refrigerator was first and even though they were 3 hours late on the window of arrival...they did a good job with installation...the stove arrived the following Monday and they said "it's the store policy, that we can't install propane stove"...the salesman knew that the stove would be propane, not natural gas and he insisted that if we had the conversion nozzles and the installation kit, it would be no problem....now we are without a stove and the first company that says it can install it won't be able to until Friday and it will cost $202 to $270 to install....Lowers owes us this installation fee...lied just to sell a stove...will never go there again read more

Let's start from the beginning. I went to Lowe's to purchase a washer and dryer set. I found the pair I liked and had to go find an associate to help me even though it was fairly slow in the evening. I told the associate as she recommended a larger washer that I wanted one with an agitator she told me the larger washer had one and it was the same price as the one I was looking at. When we went to check out I asked that it be delivered and set up as my boyfriend had just gotten out of a week long stay at the hospital. She let me know that it would cost more and I agreed to the extra cost. She asked me for the best time for delivery which was a week out. I said the 4 hour window between 8am and noon would work. I get a text the day before scheduled delivery and was told it was changed from 2-6pm. We had already changed 2 appointments to ensure someone could be at the house for the 8-noon delivery. This then caused me to take off work early so that I could then be at the house. That lost me $100 in wages to make sure I could be there. At 5:45pm I called to check the delivery and it changed to 5pm-9pm for delivery. We finally get the delivery at 7:30pm in the middle of dinner. I want to say the driver and delivery were great but clearly frustrated. We get everything set up and the washer does not have an agitator in it. I call customer service first thing in the morning and let them know of the whole issue and am told I can get a $50 gift card as if that somehow makes up for the lost wages and waste of a whole day and will magically make an agitator appear. I told them that I wanted a unit with the agitator and they said she could have the unit picked up and returned but it would cost me another $50 plus someone would have to be available to have that happen. I will never go to Lowe's to purchase anything. That $50 joke of a gift card will never be used. We have a number of other home improvement stores in this area and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had and felt like it was a joke and game to screw people over. read more

The CDA Lowe's was my original go to hardware store until today. They have no checkers upfront now, its all self service. I guess I'll switch to Home Depot in the future. Their were also a lot of people behind me that were upset also. Also, I can never find someone to help me in the electrical or plumbing departments. They are going downhill in my opinion. read more

The most poorly ran Lowe's and/or store I've ever been to. We came to get shutters in October 2020 and they're still not installed February 2021. Everytime we come here we have to ask 3-4 people for help. They never actually find help but they act like they will. After a few attempts we finally got shutter scheduled for installation. But they day they were to be installed, the installer couldn't install them because Lowe's had sent them to the wrong address. Then when we finally picked them up they were too small. The whole experience with this purchase has made me think twice about returning to Lowes. A little background ... I am not a rich person so when I needed to replace my dishwasher and stove at the same time it required me to use Lowes credit to purchase. (I will say this was the only saving grace in this purchase). I am also someone who has a spinal fusion so moving large appliances causes me a lot of distress. My home is a split level so to remove and replace it means taking up and down stairs. I purchased the needed items and had them loaded into a truck that I had borrowed as I could not afford to add the extra 300.00 for hook-up and delivery. I then proceeded to remove the old appliances and install the new. The dishwasher has been great(no problems at all!) The stove on the other hand was having trouble within a day. As I stated earlier I have a spinal fusion so this was a painful process to do. I could not physically remove the stove a second time for almost a week. When I knew I could do it I stopped at the store to verify they had the stove in stock and could be replaced same day. I then went to my friends and borrowed his truck again. I then loaded the stove in the truck and returned to Lowes. I was told apron arrival the I could not return the stove as it had been more than 24 hours after purchase. I had my recite that showed it had been purchased on my card and this was supposed to give me 30 days. After waiting 20 minutes for the person from Appliances to show up, this was confirmed...this was not the person who sold me the stove. I was then told to go to the lumber area (where I had been informed to park when I came in earlier to verify stock) and have the defective stove removed. This turned out to be impossible, they could not get anyone to unload the stove. I was told to go back to appliances and they would do it. I returned to appliance and was told I had to repurchase the new stove before they could unload the old stove. I did this and was told I would have to wait two weeks for the stove to come in. At this point I had now been in Lowes for 3 hours trying to exchange the stove. I made a date to come back and get the stove as I had to make arrangements for the truck. The person in Appliances then told me to go back to lumber and they would unload the stove. I informed him that they will not do it and he is supposed to do it. He tried to call for someone else to unload the stove but was unable to get anyone so he Very reluctantly unloaded it. I was not happy to say the least but realized I would get no where until I was able to talk with a manager and that was not going to be until the next day. I did return the next day and acted like I just wanted to buy the stove and was told they had 4 in stock and I could have it now. I then asked to talk to a manager and informed them of the night before and all the problems I had. He was willing to give me free delivery in two days. All of this was from the employees' that are too lazy to do their job. WOW!!!! The absolute WORST customer service I've ever heard. My dad called ahead and ordered a smoker for myself and my husband for Christmas. He was told he could come get it Christmas Eve ANY TIME BEFORE 6pm. He shows up tonight at 545pm to be told those workers "went home early so the order cannot be filled". Order 24 windows from Lowes on 12/1/2021. Was supposed to receive them in March 2022 and have them installed. Called the store twice a week in April and May and I was told they haven't received the whole order yet still waiting for the full order before they could install. Finally in June I got hold of someone in the window section of the store. He researched it and found out that most of the order was in the store since May 12 and they were waiting on the sliding doors. I then talked to the store manager and he agreed with me that the windows should be installed and the sliding door installed once they received it. That was three weeks ago and still don't have a install appointment. Very frustrating. read more

Very dissatisfied with their online ordering and pickup. I went to the customer service counter. It does not have adequate signage for the online pickups as you enter from the parking lot. I went to the immediate counter to the door that had a banner hanging next to it regarding online ordering and pickups. The gentleman said his was the returns counter the pickups were on the other side (store side) no signage visable from entrance. Since that position was occupied he said "I guess I can do it for you." It took over 18 minutes to get a cart and retrieve my one patio table that was sitting 20 yards away. No apologies even though I was the only customer waiting. Upon unboxing also found minor damage to the table. This is just an aside, did not an effect on the rating. read more

I'm a nurse and I was injured by a patient falling on me, I purchased a freezer on line my Husband went to pick it up because I'm incapacitated right now. Lowe's would not give him the freezer because it was not me. He was there almost an hour trying to convince him that he was on the bank account as well. He finally called me to let me know what was going on. For the most part, I despise shopping at Lowe's. They have so many poorly trained staff members, the only time I will go there is when I know exactly what I need/want. I went in to get information on Trex decking (need to buy 10-15k worth for a project) and the staff at the contractors desk did nothing to help me, and were very rude when I asked for samples which they apparently did not have. Pros: I like their drive in lumberyard, and I was pleasantly surprised by their plant selection during spring/summer months. Don't even bother calling the phone to try to get information. The customer service at this store (including the store manager) sucks big time. I ordered a Heartland shed on 2-22-23. I could have selected an earlier arrival date but opted to select a later date for delivery which was March 15, 2023 since I was going to be out of town. Just prior to that date arriving, I received notification that the delivery date was changed by Lowes to Wednesday, March 22, 2023. On March 21, 2023, I went into the Coeur D' Alene store and spoke to the Order desk and was told that the shed was in fact in the distribution or fullfillment center and was suppose to be delivered as scheduled on March 22, 2023. They could not give me any more information. Although, I asked to speak to the store manager, he or she NEVER showed up. Then on March 22, 2023 at 6:00 a.m., I received another e-mail informing me that the delivery date was again changed to March 24, 2023. What type of courtesy is it to call me the morning of the day of delivery to tell me they will not be out and the date has changed.? How rude is that? What type of customer service is Lowe's providing? SHAME ON YOU LOWES. SHAME ON YOU STORE MANAGER. As part of the purchase price, I paid extra for the delivery. I am sure the only reason I have not received the shed is because Lowe's does not want to deliver my shed unless they can fill the truck with other deliveries in the same area. Online order took 3 days. We tried to call for the last 2 days & spent over an hour total on hold calling over 6 times & no 1 ever answered the phone. My mom is in her 70's & she went to the store & they told her online isn't a priority & to pull her own order if she needed it & would not assist her even though it was truckload of large heavy lumber & supplies for her home remodel. It's upsetting to see a business up here treat seniors so poorly. We thought by ordering online we could just send her in the truck to pick it up. I paid $35.00 to have someone come to my home and measure for flooring I had picked out. Adrien (who contracts with Lowes) called before he came. He started out negative asking if I wanted to reuse my molding. He said that would void any warranty. Not one positive, he arrived and started measuring he was not friendly but that was ok. I asked him several questions about the molding. On the phone he said they only install the flooring. When I asked again he said that they remove the old flooring and that I could use the molding I have. My husband (79 and recovering from cancer) asked about the measurements. He said he would not be giving them to us when he finished measuring because we were cobative?? He left! Did not finish. I called the salesperson who helped us. This is a complaint about a snotty cashier and not receiving a veterans 10% discount. First off I want to be clear that I'm not some entitled veteran that feels I deserve everything. I've been going to Lowes for years and all I had to do was show my retired military ID and receive a 10% discount. A nice perk indeed and I was grateful to get it. This time while the cashier was ringing me up and I showed her my military ID, she said in a snotty voice that I'd have to go to customer service show them my ID AND my phone number so they could " get me on their system" for any future discounts. I replied that I didn't want to give out my phone number because I simply didn't want: A. Lowes to call me and try to sell me something. B. I didn't want Lowes to sell my number to other marketers. C. I like my privacy. Cashiers reply: Sorry that's the way it is. I asked if I could speak to the manager and she put up both hands and says the exact same thing "Sorry that's the way it is". Ugh I told them to cancel the order and said " I think you'll lose money from the veterans because of this stupid requirement ". Snotty cashier responds: WE HAVEN'T LOST ANY BUSINESS!!" Guess what? I ordered 24 windows from Lowes over a year ago. I was scheduled for a March install, the windows arrived at the store in July. They finally installed them in November. 75% of the windows were the wrong size and another 4 we're the the wrong color. Still waiting for the replacement windows to be installed. Was just informed they will be in the store by 1/22/22. This project will have gone on for over 14 months. read more

I'm honestly writing this review out of concern for the safety of motorists if you allow Lowe's employees to load heavy objects. I bought a large residential fridge, and the only good thing about experience was the salesman was cool and helpful. Since the "free delivery" was a 6 day wait my wife and I, both in our 50s, decided to haul it ourselves. After buying the fridge we bought an appliance dolly and waited in the loading bay. And waited. And waited. After 25 minutes of employees ignoring us I went up to one and he said, "If it doesn't come out soon, go inside and rattle their cage." Shouldn't he have said, "I see you've been here a while, let me check on this." I went inside and after another 15 min found someone to talk to. Total wait time for fridge was about an hour. And then when it did come out it was on a hand truck and that employee had to find a forklift driver. Here's where things got worse. The fridge was loaded into the truck on a pallet. I am not talking about the pallet it's bolted to, I am talking about a pallet under that. They basically said good to go. Fortunately, I got in the truck bed and the palate raised the center of gravity and wobbled back and forth with a gentle push. With near certainty it would have fallen off the truck on the interstate. It was apparent by my experience to that point that I was on my own, so I went inside and spent $30 on ratchet straps. Unfortunately, the straps weren't quite long enough and after 30 min it was clear that the fridge had to come off the pallet. What really finally upset me is that several employees within 20 feet were standing around BS'ing the whole time. No one came over to say, "Hey, can we give you hand? What is the issue?" Finally I became upset and yelled to the forklift driver, "Hey, you know the way you loaded this on a pallet it's going to fall off the truck and potentially kill other motorists or God forbid a motorcyclist, right?!" It was only after I got upset that finally they came over. One of them said, "I can sell you some straps." I said, "I've already paid $30 for straps, they're not long enough the way it was loaded it could be dangerous anyway!" They assisted me at that point in removing the pallet and securing it. Total time between buying fridge and departure: 90 minutes. I hope Lowe's carries good liability insurance. Apart from treating a customer like they did me, it is unethical to not care if others are injured due to a half-assed loading job. read more

I placed an order online for an item that was listed in stock. I placed the order got a text that said they received it and that was it. I went back on later because I hadn't gotten any updates, my order had been canceled and my money was refunded. There was no explanation as to why nothing. I tried the MyLo chat, that was a joke it has limited responses and cldnt tell me anything. Just says to call. I called the store directly and talked to an actual person and he found it in minutes and set it aside for me. Customer service was great. But as far as whoever is doing the online orders? My parents bought a new washer and dryer set from here over a month ago. They got it all hooked up, and the dryer didn't work. (My dad is a master electrician and made sure it had nothing to do with the wiring of the house, but wasn't gonna pull the dryer apart because if he couldn't fix it, he knew they wouldn't honor the warranty because he messed with it) so they called Lowe's and told them, and they said to bring it back to exchange it. They get the new one, hook it up and it does the EXACT SAME THING as the first new one!! They call Lowe's again, to which they said "let's get a tech to come out and look at it, but they can't come out until September 16th" which at the time was 3 weeks away!!! But what could they do. So we get to today, the tech comes out, looks at the dryer and says "there is definitely something wrong with it, but I can't fix it. It's defective" so my parents call Lowe's and tells them what happened. The guy on the phone was nice, and says "yeah bring it back, but your warranty is up today, but let me talk to my manager and see if we will honor it a day late since you guys live so far" the manager YELLED at the poor kid that my parents were talking to and says "there's no way this is our fault, and their 30 day warranty is up tomorrow, so if they don't get it in today we're not honoring the warranty!!" My parents live over an hour away from this Lowe's. This crap store is trying to stiff my parents with a defective dryer!!! Worst manager!!! Will never step foot in that store again!! read more

Was trying to buy a washer for a house I was buying in Idaho. Searching online we picked the one we wanted, went to our local (Smokey point, WA) store and looked it over and decided we wanted it. Hoping to have it delivered and hooked up, we called the store in Couer D Alene. Or should I say we TRIED to call. It would ring 20 or 30 times and then dump us over to customer service. Their standard answer was to try calling later that the people in appliance were busy. This went on a couple of days till finally I asked for a manager. Got one named Jim. Two days in a row he promised he would get someone from appliance to call us back within an hour. Never got a call. Finally after days of frustration we finally found the washer at a competitors store. Another lost sale, Lowes. I'm really sorry that this will be the closest one to my new house. read more

Lowes store is horrible!! Sale on fence boards through 4/11. From $2.87 to $1.50 each. I placed a $1500 order including nearly 500 fence boards, posts, 2x4's concrete, screws etc. They called back "Sorry, ad was a mistake, we can only give you 10% off on the fence boards". This isn't the first time Lowes has done this. I think they do it on purpose to get you in their store. Want to know what the managers solution is? Take our ad to Home Depot, they'll have to honor it. Seriously? Horrible business practices!!! Shame on Lowes!! read more

I was in this morning around 10 am at the CoeurdAlene, ID store to return a 4 year old Kobalt Battery Powered Chainsaw that would no longer operate. When I arrived I was first told to contact the manufacturer(Kobalt) where I obtained an authorization number that, according to the Warranty, should have lead to an in store refund or replacement. I asked for a refund. I have changed my VCOSTCO VISA card a couple times since the date of purchase due to my card's number being compromised, which I think is the primary reason Lowes could not process a refund. The clerk at the return desk tried everything to effect a refund, but to no avail even after getting assistance from Management and IT. I did not want an In Store Credit, but that is the only thing that was possible at that store, so I walked away with a card representing a credit I could use at the store or for that matter any Lowe's store. This is not acceptable when you think about the terms of the Kobalt 5 year Warranty, that turned out to be worthless read more

I have called the store several times to talk with the manager. I have continued to leave numerous messages with no call back. I've lived in many different places and typically pretty happy with the Lowe's in those areas. One in Coeur d'Alene is a different story. At times, customer service is great but never consistent. Actually seems employees don't get along with each other so maybe there is a moral problem? And the Coeur d'Alene store always seems in disarray with inventory shelved incorrectly or just sitting outside to the rear of the store. I do like the large parking lot which is so much nicer than the HD across town and drive through lumber yard is awesome. I think this location has so much potential to be the #1 home improvement store in town but so many missed opportunities. I was recently in San Diego at the Mission Valley store helping a family member with a small project. I spoke with a manager named Matt (unk last name) and he was super helpful. The Mission Valley store is definitely squared away and one corporate should model others after. read more
