Went in today looking for a lint brush from my dryer lint trap when I was wondering everywhere around the store and ran into a nice gentleman named Keith who quickly was willing to help me, we walked to where his little machine told him to look when we ran into another gentleman named Aaron who was sure he knew where to find them so the 3 of us went to look and found something different than what I was looking for, when another woman came over and knew the exact spot of what we all searched for. I have never had such wonderful customer service. To end the experience with Scott showing me exactly where the next item was as I was leaving the store. Wow just wow, I never have that kind of service even if I'm at a car dealership! A+ service at North Conway Lowe's! Highly recommended. read more

We ordered a dryer to be delivered to our house. The sales associate rang us up for hoses (for a washer) and not an electrical plug for the dryer. Fortunately the delivery team had an extra plug that could be used. Attempted to call for just a swap out of the cord and the hose but for unknown reasons, this could not be accommodated. (I had to call to pay for the plug and now I have to drive back to return the hoses to get a credit) I got a rather condescending lecture about how the dryers don't come with plugs and that the hoses would not work. (duh) We are also stuck attempting to get a storm door delivered and installed... been in twice and apparently no one in the store knows how to place an order. The first installation call informed me they "don't install storm doors without an entry door". They then canceled the storm door order and I have not been successful in getting a new door ordered or the correct installation. I used to work in retail, I really understand how horrible the environment is and I get that with the virus, things are far from normal. It seems that unless you magically know the schedule for the one person who knows how to do stuff correctly to be available, you are in for a very frustrating experience. read more

Huge shout out to Amanda. I had all sorts of issues getting some countertops delivered. When they finally were (a week and a half late), one was missing. I was told they were available in North Conway so I drove 2 hours to pick it up- being assured it was there. I paid for it online. When I got there, the back lot team had gone home and was told I couldn't pick it up. "It would take 3 hours to look through the back." Finally, Amanda took on the case and I had it in my car within 15 minutes. Problems did not originate with the store, but that woman deserves a medal. read more

I called Lowe's before i ordered a new washing machine from them and asked if they still install it when they deliver it as i told her i just had rotator cuff surgery and couldn't lift. The salesperson told me yes they will install it and connect it. Two guys showed up to deliver it. My wife had already disconnected the brackets that hold it to the pedestal so all they had to do was lift it off the pedestal. One puts the strap to lift it under the pedestal so they were going to take the old machine and the pedestal. I advised him i was keeping the pedestal and putting the new machine on it. He told me they are not allowed to put it on the pedestal and that it wouldn't fit anyway. The second guy spoke up and said it might fit. They unpacked the machine outside and set the new machine down in the dirt ( not to bright ) They brought the machine in and placed it on the pedestal and it fit perfectly. They moved the machine close to where it was going and did not hook it up or remove the packaging tapes or anything leaving my wife to connect the machine and push it into place. Won't be ordering from Lowe's next time. read more

Below is a complaint letter I sent to Lowes regarding a poor shopping experience I had in their North Conway, NH store Their response: IM SORRY My recommendation: Shop Home Depot across the street. Dear Lowes, I am writing to you regarding a problem I had at your store in North Conway, New Hampshire. On April 14th, I attempted to purchase a Velux skylight plus numerous other items for an attic remodel. My shopping cart had well over a $1300.00 in merchandise. Although the skylight was available for $406.00 dollars in your Boston area stores, for some reason the item was $430.00 in your New Hampshire stores. I asked customer service if they would match the price. I was told it was Lowe's policy not to match its own price. That really doesn't make any sense. The store manager, who was fully aware of my problem, did not attempt to help me. He left it up to the clerks who really couldn't make a decision. So for a total of $24.00 Lowe's lost a $1300.00 sale. I left 2 full shopping carts at your customer service counter and wasted 2 hours in your store. I went to Home Depot across the street. Home Depot was very happy to match the price plus reduce the cost of the entire order by 10%. As a regular customer in your Boston and New Hampshire stores I am totally disappointed. We have had nothing but excellent service at Lowes North Conway. We bought a grill a few months ago, excellent price, very helpful staff. Bought a bench a month later, again great deal, they discounted it 20% because the first one they showed us was cracked. We just met with Bill in the kitchen remodel section, he was excellent! They spent 2 and a half hours with us as we tried to decide on color and design of our project. No complaints about this Lowes! read more

He helped us choose the right products for a speedy delivery, and we were able to take delivery the very next day! Talk about exceeding expectations! I would never hire Lowe's North Conway for any services again. Three years ago I ordered a rug with installation services, spending roughly $6,500 in total. This was for a second home which we are at probably less than 6 times a year. Everything was fine until recently when the rug started to produce large wrinkles in certain spots. I hired someone to try to correct the issue, who said it was an issue with the initial installation and that I'd need to replace the rug to correct it. I called Lowe's and asked them if they would be able to help rectify this - and they told me that their warranty for service is a year so we are out of luck. I have since learned of someone else who had a rug installed by the same person from Lowe's around the same time and had the exact same problem. For a large company who has the means to make this right, it is inexcusable that they will not stand by their work. I hope others will not make the same mistake in using Lowe's North Conway for any service jobs. read more

We spoke with the store manager, Tom, regarding this issue. He stated he's had a number of identical complaints about deliveries. He promised to look into it and get back to us the next day. This is two days later and still no phone call. Looks like communication is an issue from the top down. I'll order my next batch of supplies elsewhere. DON'T BOTHER ORDERING FROM LOWES I ordered an appliance from lowes.com which the local lowes was suppose to deliver. Got email confirmation of delivery date set for two weeks later. Day before delivery, called to confirm window of delivery and found out appliance order had not been placed, and it would be another 12 days before it could be delivered. They said it would take that long to get from manufacturer. Got an email confirming delivery date, with 2 hour window. At end of delivery window time, I called and found out appliance had not left manufacturers. It would take another 10 days for it to arrive at the store, after which it would get delivered to my house. Called 800# to complain and was given the runaround that it was the local stores fault, but local store said it was online and corporate problem. Look up Lowes on BBB's site. You'll see this happens quite often with ordering appliances from them. Don't waste your time. read more

Buyer beware of any motorized products. We bought a BRAND NEW pressure washer off the sales floor, we were told it was completely ready for use, we used one time and then stored in a heated basement for the winter. Went to start this year and would not start, they said it was caused by lack of lubricant, or no oil in the machine.
