we shop at this lowe's once a month sometimes more. its a big one and eazy for us to get to, but the service is uncaring and most of the time unhelpful, you can ask for help and wait for help and it you really need help, I wouldn't go to this Lowe's! there are not trained will at all in being helpful, the last time we when and ask for help, the lady we ask, her phone rang and she just walked off, no I'll be right back or can you wait,I'll get you some help. she was gone! check out it friendly and a little more helpful! but over all I wouldn't not go to this Lowe's if you need help, and if they ever build one closer to my home I want go back to this Lowe's!!!! read more

This is a store I regular at but it is very frustrating to deal with their customer service. I needed to do a simple exchange and the lady at the customer service desk looked at me like I was an alien. She told me I would have to go get this item in the store to exchange regardless of how large it is. My favorite part is how after you carry the giant item through the store back to the customer service desk you get to wait in line again!!! I asked for the manager and she ignored me, i generally have a pleasant experience here but not today. It was pitiful. Do better. read more

The telephone service is ridiculous. Figured it might have changed since last year but it has gotten worse. Amazing you can't call a store and even talk to someone without going the unbelievable phone service agenda. No wonder the reviews are bad. Glad I didn't have a chance to do business with Lowe's. I downloaded Yelp exclusively to write a review about this store location to hopefully help the next person. Terrible customer service. The employees have the worst attitudes. I called ahead of time to check pricing on some lumber and they put me on hold for 20 minutes and when someone answered the phone they hung up on me. When I got to the store the employees were talking among themselves and I stood in front of them patiently waiting for help and they ignored me for at least 5 minutes. I went to the pro desk seeking help and they were no where to found. I finally found an employee in the flooring section and they were helped me to the best of their ability. read more

After purchasing merchandise between Lowes in McAlester & Home Depot in Ada multiple times over the last 2 years while we are remodeling our new home we have a very good idea that we will continue to shop at Home Depot in Ada. Lowes least expensive particle board kitchen cabinets, countertop/sink install was quotes at right under $14k (small kitchen & no extra fancy stuff like I wanted) We found a local reputable company to install wood not particle board, lots of fancy stuff for just under $6k & their ahead of schedule. I ordered an in-stock fridge last year from Lowes it took them almost 3 weeks to deliver. By the way it went out less than a year after I had it had to have it replaced. I ordered an instock water heater from Home Depot it was delivered the next day. The senario has been repeated multiple times and the best part Home Depots policy is noones proces will be beat garonteed! I can not forget to say that Reba in plumbing & electrical at Lowes was awesome she did know her stuff & was very polite. So if you have to shop Lowes look her up she will do her best to help.​ read more

LG refrigerator bought December 15th 2018 ice maker quit working September 12th 2019 called Lowes for warranty work to get it fixed and the only thing I got was transferred... absolutely no help, since I didn't buy an protection plan Lowes didn't want to have anything to do with helping, been waiting on LG service repair on the phone now for 23 minutes and still no help, Might have learned a lesson about buying appliances from Lowes and especially LG appliances, customer service from both is terrible so heed my warning before buying appliances from Lowes. just now got an human and guess what I got the washer division now waiting again... read more

My mom and dad moved to Mcalester OK a year ago and are building a house. My mom purchased a Kitchen Aid dishwasher and oven back in January since the supply chain is taking awhile they wanted to be sure to get appliances. Lowes never ordered the oven after weeks of waiting and many phones calls later they finally said the oven was discontinued. They finally got their kitchen cabinets in yesterday July 4th we opened the dishwasher and it is so damaged they can not use it, the door won't shut, the rollers are off and there is a big dent in the back. Yet the box it came in was not damaged at all. Yes she should have opened in when she picked it up but she knew she would be storing it and didn't want to cause damage. They took it back to Lowes and their answer was it has been over 48 hours and would not take it back, give a refund or even exchange it. No compassion what so ever. Great job Lowes you made a 73 year old woman cry like building a house at her age is not stressful enough. read more

I am a Real Estate Investor and shop frequently at Lowes for materials. When I need help I seek the Manager for the specific department and they have been going out of their way to assist me, educate me about the products. Most of them worked there since the store opened up in McAlester. Like in all retail business; there are good employees and others are not so good. But considering overall business throughout the years, I am happy with their service. I ask precise questions about a product and they give me the answer so I can make a good choice what I need to buy. Purchased a cook stove from Lowe's. They did not have any in stock at the store but had several in stock at the warehouse. They said it would only take 7 to 10 for delivery. Finally after 4 weeks my stove finally arrived. Each week I would call to find out where my stove was and why it hasn't been delivered yet. All I would get was I'm sorry it'll be on the truck next week. Week after week this was the response that I would get. Finally on the 4th week my stove arrived. Normally this wouldn't have been a issue but the oven had gone out on my old stove. Next time I need a major appliance I won't be going to Lowe's. You would think for the inconvenience they would have at least installed the stove for free, but all I got was sorry.... read more

I get mad everytime I go in there, employee's walk right by you and if you need something all you can get is ( try isle 11 or 12 ) . Waited a good 30 minutes for some one to move a forklift , they never showed. Wife got pissed off trying to get somebody to help me load some boards ,after mashing her fingers. Finally a guy came and asked If I needed help and helped me load my boards on a cart and look for some different sizes of cedar. Nice Guy and I was embarrassed when I found out he was a customer also , just helping me out. They have a few people that is helpfull and friendly. What they need is sombody like myself to manage their workers with the authority to hire and fire . evidently the store manager don't have time. I have owned a business for 47 years( now retired ) and had lot's of employees good and bad. what I have learned in that 47 years is your people can kill your business if you let them.Really it's not that their bad people , they just don't have any leadership. read more
