There are not many reasonable places around for home improvement and Lowe's has always been a go to for us. We will probably most likely pop in for odd items that we can take home right away but we'll never shop for home appliances that need delivery from them anymore after our recent debarcle. The kitchen god had a laugh with this and saw to it that our dish washer broke down a few months ago, followed by the oven, then the microwave shortly after. We waited until Memorial Day weekend so we can take advantage of the sales and went in bright and early Saturday morning and got our items sorted out by a really helpful staff. Happy that the purchase was smooth and uneventful we went home to wait for the delivery that was 3 weeks away. Got a text the day before confirming the delivery. Great! Living without a microwave has been interesting ... The day of the delivery, the husband opened up his emails and saw a message from Lowe's notifying that the microwave is out-of-stock, therefore the order for it is cancelled. What?!!?!!! They couldn't give us a heads up days or weeks ago?! What kind of customer service is this??!! Surely this should have shown up in their inventory much earlier! We're beyond disappointed. More time will be wasted before we can purchase another microwave, which I hope we don't get from them. The way our kitchen is set up the oven and the microwave have to be installed at the same time. Our guy had been booked for this weekend for the job and will have to be rescheduled. More fluffing around. More time living without the much needed appliances. Thanks, Lowe's! read more

Phone calls & emails to note my experience. They offer a gift card in $100. I have spent over $800 on this experience. Over the 8 week experience.. The slap in the face. There are lots of supplies for all household and gardening needs. One of the employees was very helpful today. We were told the landscaping timber was outside, like the n. edmond location. Someone called to confirm because the inside clerk we first asked had no idea. Confirmed - go around back. I went to Lowe's to try to find a kit to repair a garden hose. I talked to four different people who sent me to four different places without the product being there. The phone app also had the incorrect information as to the location of the item I was looking for. finally after talking to a fifth person, I was directed to the appropriate place. This is an amazing place to shop. I like the things they have such as ceiling fans, ladders, cabinets, lawn furniture, etc. Simply walking through the store allows you to dream. It's like looking in a big catalog but with the actual merchandise in front of you that you can touch, view and even smell. This store in huge. The layout can be confusing but there is plenty of help working in the store. A lot of the staff that have been working there know exactly which isle to find what you are looking for. When they don't know, they have an App on their phones and point you or even take you to the location. The staff is always friendly and courteous. Lowes does offer military discounts and is pet friendly too. So if your favorite ride along companion is with you bring him/her inside to help you with the sniffing. Your fury friend is sure to bring smiles. So the next time you are in need to get some supplies to complete your self help project stop by Lowes. Even if you are not looking for anything in particular stop by and start dreaming afterall there is plenty of parking space in the parking lot! read more

The main reason you will see me frequent any Lowe's is to check out their plants, particularly the clearance section! It has become an addiction, a problem according to my husband but a super fun hobby if you ask me lol. They have selections that vary every few weeks when they get shipments in. They have a section from Costa Farms that has the trendy plants. If you are going with a certain plant in mind you may not find it unless it is popular and in season. Their clearance selection is usually pretty low because they generally take pretty good care of their plants. They lose the star mainly because we had a horrible experience with buying a fridge from them. They did not deliver the first or second date that they gave us and the delivery men destroyed our beautiful front door and did not put it back together right. I have also noticed some mealy bugs and scale on plants from time to time so be careful to check for that. Never enough cashiers, lines are looong to check out. Cashier made mistakes over charging me with no apology, took forever and didn't even put my stuff in bags. No one seems to care that works there, no one returns carts from parking lot. Update: Avoided this Lowes since it is a huge waste of time, but my wife requested something. Had one item, stood in line 20 minutes and made no progress. Just left. Ridiculous. Will try a better Lowes. This one is awful. read more

I've had mixed experiences at this Lowe's. Lumber dept is usually super helpful. That is IF you can find an associate. Garden nursery needs A LOT of help. A general lack of knowledge of the store is prevalent here. It's especially bad over the phone. Avoid calling customer service unless you have a lot of time to spare. And don't expect a resolution. Worst experience we had here was while refrigerator shopping an associate abruptly and we felt rudely turned off the built-in radio we were listening to. It was the end of the night, no one was around. She could have asked us nicely to turn it down, or at minimum give us an explanation first. She said it might upset old people and walked away. She never even offered assistance. I would rate it 2 stars but I'm in here all of the time. My hope is they do something constructive with the criticism. read more

This is a great Lowes location in the OKC area. This is located off Memorial and Penn, which is a very busy part of town. I've been coming here for several years and would even say that this is my main go-to spot for all hardware store needs. I have been taking my grandchildren to the Memorial store for their monthly Kid's Workshop for the past 2 year and while the individual associates that have helped with the actual kits have been as helpful as possible, they as well as their managers have been clueless in helping us obtain the Junior and Senior patches once the kids have completed their 6 and 12 workshops. After requesting help from the store manager for the last four sessions and been told he's too busy or the store can't help - it's the company's problem, I've given up. I have managed to get 3 of my 4 budding carpenters their senior patches/tool kits after much headache, I have been unsuccessful in closing out this effort for the oldest child. Brandon from the Memorial staff has repeatedly sent his assistance to talk with me and has not given me the courtesy to call me back. So, I've decided to take my and my family business elsewhere. I ordered 2 raised garden beds and they never pulled them. I called to check, they said they hadn't pulled them, and hung up on me. So I canceled my order and went to pick them up. I literally had to make an employee help me find them. Eventually I found a nice man named Brad to assist me, however they were so swamped he kept having to leave me to help others. Brad is the only reason this review isn't a 1 Star review because he was so nice and helpful. Brandon helped me put my purchases in the car. Since Coits went out of business years ago we've been getting our Christmas tree here at the garden center. It's a simple layout and the staff are helpful in moving and packing your tree to your car. Sometimes they're short handed so I recommend management hire more people to work, especially for the holiday season. They have a large assortment of lights and decorations to choose from. Staff wore masks and gloves. Prices are generally reasonable. Will probably return again next year for Christmas. read more

Phyllis; unbelievably rude every time I have had to deal with her. Not only to myself, but as I witnessed afterwards, she was extremely rude to other customers. It seems like she is eternally unhappy within her own self. What I call a miserable soul. When simply trying to return a $4 item, I asked for a store credit, even though I had the receipt because I didn't have the original credit card that it was originally purchased with. When asking for store credit so I could buy a few other things, she said it "HAD to" be returned to a card, and that she "could not" give me a store credit. Someone needs to do something about this woman. It's certainly not the first time she's acted this way, it's every single time I have seen her in action. So sad. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Purchased new quartz countertops for $$$$. Took 2 months to get scheduled. Countertop company they use were the worst! Tried to call Lowes Install at store but kept getting transferred and then hung up on. Install was scheduled for a Tuesday, they moved to Wed. then called at 5:45PM to say on the way (for a 5 hr install!) We refused - it would have been midnight before they were done! Rescheduled for next Mon. and at 4:30pm that day they cancelled to reschedule again! Finally installed on Tues. So 4 DAYS MISSED WORK/WAGES. And per install instruct we had already taken out the stove and sink - so $$$ eating out 7 days since no way to clean dishes. We told countertop co. the sink measurement was off. They ignored us - and cut sink 1/2" off side to side and front to back. Now have to spend $$$ on new kitchen faucet because it sits too far back and we can't turn hot water on fully. Took 3 weeks to get installers back out to clean the solvent they left everywhere. Still haven't heard from Lowes store after leaving messages 4 weeks later! read more

Can't beat them for small renovation materials, and odds-n-ends, but the wood and drywall is almost always sub par, the tools are cheap crap (unless a known brand like Dewalt), and never get appliances, machines, or anything electronic there (you uave a less than 40% chance of actually being the first owner - they are notorious for reboxing returned/defective merchandise and selling it as new). read more

First, I am not very handy. I went to Lowes in search of a match to a screw, spackling, anchors and a sanding sponge. Doug helped me find everything I needed, including a perfect match to my screw. He was super helpful and spent time reviewing different anchors with me. If the world was full of Dougs, this would be a much nicer place!! Needed paint that matched OU colors. Got some of the worst and useless customer service from one old guy and one young guy ... both acted like my requests were beyond their capabilities. Terrible customer service skills. The color I ended up getting was totally off and I wasted over $50 in paint. I can't believe this day and age with all the technology they couldn't do a better job. I have been a Lowes Customer for the past 20 plus years. Anytime I needed something for my home, Lowe's was always my go to place. I would even have my family members and friends go for their needs. Well, after this last experience with the company, I will never shop at Lowes never again. I am going to try to sum this up and just get to the point. In July 2021, I purchased doors (internal & external) and windows from the Lowe's on Memorial Rd in Oklahoma City. My doors came in the middle of September but Lowe's only sent an installer that does external door installation. The installer stated that he saw the internal door package together but is only qualified to install external doors (why didn't they send a person to do both doors). He did state that he would put in another order to send someone back to install the other doors. After a couple of weeks I didn't hear anything from Lowes so I then started calling, emailing and going up to the store for some answers. NO ONE KNEW NOTHING. I finally got call stating that I would be schedule for a installation in late October. Then end of October came and went, now it is November. I then called the Lowes salesman personally whom sold me the windows and doors to see what the deal was and he never called me back. All during the month of November, I called Lowes customer service, emailed them and also went up to the store on Memorial Rd and once again no response nor anyone knowing anything. Then December comes, I get an call and email stating that installment for doors and windows together will be schedule in January 2022. That day comes and the door finally gets installed and the half of the windows get installed. Not all windows got installed due to the sent/made the wrong type of windows. After once again, after many calls, emails, and going up to the Memorial store location, my windows finally came in and was installed in "JULY 2022". Might I add that the windows was sent back a couple of times due to being the correct ones. After all of that, I received another call from Lowes customer service stating that there would be a Rep calling me to work out some type of adjustment on my bill due to all the issues the came about. How about its November 29th and still have not heard from someone. Best believe from July 25th till now, I have been calling, emailing, etc. and still nothing. Only thing that I kept getting is a email stating that "someone will be contacting me in the next 24 to 48 hours. Hopefully after this review someone will contact me. Mr. James read more

I'm typically not a home improvement person but during this quarantine I decided to paint some rooms but since I didn't know how much it take to do a whole room, I picked a color I liked and they made one can. I got all the stuff I needed, no problem. Well I ran out of paint... I took the paint code that was on the can. I had given it to them to match the paint. When he was done the paint was a bit lighter than I what I had. I compared the codes. It was wrong and he looked at me like he didn't know how to fix it. I didn't know what to do either but he got me a brand new can with the right code and I was good... until I came back and it happened again but it was fine! read more

It is extremely difficult to get ahold of anyone in this store. If they are busy they don't even ask you to hold, just immediately switch it over to hold. This lowes location just doesn't win my heart over. I'm a huge fan of buy and pay ahead online and pickup in store to save time. Well that isn't the case at this location like... ever! For the past few times my order has either not been ready when I've already gotten an email stating that the order is complete and ready for pick up. The other time I have been here my order has never been for filled correctly. Just last month we bought a brand new washer and dryer. My husband goes to pick up the washer brings it home and unloads to find out that they gave us the wrong washer!!! Our appliance was well over $399 which qualifies for free delivery the man working laughed and said we have one delivery man so it's going to be a good 2 weeks before you get your washer. Rather than having our in stock washer just sit there and wait we decided to pick up. All in all this store is convenient for location, yes but the customer service and items they have in stock or getting items fulfilled correctly they are awful. read more

Paint Dept is the worst! Don't go here. Picked up a paint sample the day before, brought it back for a quart. Waited 30 minutes (cashier called paint Dept 3x) before someone helped me. Manager came and couldn't match the paint (had ingredients on the sample bottle!!) OMG. The last 45 minutes in the paint department felt like an eternity surrounded by people who were less than smart. Line of people behind me left worried what paint color was in store for them. Probably my least favorite Lowe's in the city. First, hire some damn people. It's baffling to me that in a time when people are saying there are no jobs, there are obviously a ton of open positions at places like this. With that being said Lowe's, how about holding a couple of job fairs, maybe sprinkle in a couple of newspaper/online ads. Just saying. To add onto my previous complaint... if you're going to hire people, they should at least be somewhat knowledgeable of their department. By no means do I blame this on the employees (and it's not a problem in all departments), I blame it on the training system or lack thereof. I don't expect all employees to know everything about their particular department, but I'd think they'd at least be able to steer me in the right direction. We ended up at this Lowe's location after originally trying the Enid Lowe's location. The short version of the Enid Lowe's experience is... they have NO customer service. Picture waiting for 3 hours, begging an employee to help you, only to be ignored. So my mom, dad, husband and I tried our luck at the Lowe's on Memorial in the hopes that someone would finally help us. My parents are renovating a house that was build in the 1940s, with bathrooms and plumbing only slightly better than an outhouse. Already traumatized and jaded by the Enid experience, to which my dad's response was "that's it, I'm selling my Lowe's stock," we hopped we'd fair better here. Enter the helpful lady in bathrooms. She was a Godsend. She was patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and above all else... she actually helped us. Now the 4 starts is due to the fact that service here is hit and miss.... but it's a bit more hit than a miss most times. Think of Lowe's as Vegas and you'll keep some of your sanity. You may only wander around for 30 minutes to find someone in the signature navy vest with red piping, instead of 2 hours. My tip, be persistent and if all else fails, go to the bathroom department after 2 pm on Saturday. This lady knows her stuff. read more
