DO NOT USE LOWES IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TO! Use The Home Depot or Menards! I purchased items through DoorDash and unfortunately the items didn't work. When it was time to return the items Lowes only wanted to give store credit and not issue the credit to my card. Kyle / in the Lowe's executive liaison department was BEYOND nasty and could not have given two cents toward customer service! I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Missouri Attorney's General Office. But wait.....THIS IS THE BEST PART! Because of this absolute nasty customer service experience - this executive liaison / Kyle / just caused me to cancel my $25,000 window replacement contract - that I was getting ready to sign this week - with the Osage Beach, Missouri Lowes! I wouldn't give Lowes my money - my hard earned money - on a project this big after the treatment that I received from an issue that totally went "south"! Way to go Lowes! read more

We purchased a refrigerator at the beginning of November...delivered to us late and damaged. Jump ahead to April and 3 more refrigerators.. some damaged, icemaker not working, one quit completely (these were all Samsung), a lot of spoiled food, poor poor customer service, wrong information, inept delivery ser vice, lack of caring and no refrigerator for months. We're embarrassed we didn't do it earlier, but we gave up on Lowes, drove to Menards, had a working refrigerator within 12 hours!I will add that they even would not mail or facilitate a refund. Such a horrible experience. Went to garden center for mulch- asked for assistance to load bags. The most wonderful female cashier called for someone to assist 3 times. After waiting over 15 minutes I started to do it myself. One man who worked there refused to help me (wasn't his problem) and one just ignored me. I was loading them myself when the cashier (a bit older..maybe 60s) came out and we worked together to load them. I called the store when I left. Matt, the "manager" on this day (5/29 at 2pm) could not have cared less. He said "we do our best". Didn't apologize, and worse, didn't want to know who the positive person I encountered was. Matt wasn't going to do a thing to correct this problem. He should not be the manager because he doesn't care about the customer at all. That cashier should be managing him! Why offer curbside pickup if you don't want to service the customers. After calling and getting put on hold ( after saying we are here for curbside pickup) abruptly , the same short tempered older woman picked up again and curtly put us back on hold. After 15 minutes my husband finally went in to pick up our items. The same employee was at the desk and no surprise, she was just as rude in person! Either move her where she doesn't deal with customers or do away with curbside and in store pickup. Gotta say Home Depot customer service beats Lowe's customer service hands down! I have purchased appliances therr as well as specialized paints. Unfortunately they sub contract their delivery service which is TERRIBLE. They delivered a dishwasher, not even the brand I purchased. Their only reply, "That's what they gave us". After correcting the delivery issue they installed the dishwasher. They did not install it right so it would not drain. I had to have an appliance repairman come out and properly install it. I went to Lowe's to explain to an appliance supervisor who gave me a store credit for $86. Wow! Purchased a washer and dryer and had it delivered. Unfortunately after explaining to the salesman that they were to be stacked he sent out a 6ft cord with the delivery. Too Short. I asked the delivermen to call Lowe's and see if they carried a longer cord. No such luck. Lowe's doesn't carry or couldn't order one. They left the washer and dryer in the middle of the kitchen until I could obtain a longer dryer cord. Well as usual AMAZON and I had one delivered in 2 days. The deliverymen returned but would not hook up the dryer cord. I hooked it up and they installed the W & D. I am having a new gas range and microwave delivered next week. Generally like Lowes. Never ever ever take their come on for a Lowes credit card. Its a scam. I spent 2 totally ridiculous hours trying to make a return and sub purchase. i don't wish to relive the shitstorm experience but with no manager in duty, no way for undertrained staff to override their arcane computer system. Obvious problem is untrained and underpaid store clerks. Other oddity is I chose 3 different display model bath sinks. They were out of all 3 and told had been for some time. They could not order one. no other lowes had them. So why have them displayed with BS sale prices??? and for the kicker... I generously offered to pay the full price for the displays "We cant sell a display". Well what happens to them? " I think we throw them away". We ordered kitchen cabinets from the Osage Beach, MO store. We received a call saying we could come pick them up when we got to the store we were told one of the cabinets was sold to another customer and they didn't have any more in stock. They couldn't order another one because it was a stock item and they would auto restock it so we just had to wait until it came in. We also were ordering our countertop through them and were given a quote based on the cabinets we had. They sent out a company by the name of Kitchen Craft to do an exact measurement. When the came out and measured we were told the new price was double the original quote by Joel Schendel the salesman at Lowes who was coordinating this. We said that was out of our budget and didn't want to order the countertop. We were then told that we would be charged a template fee for them measuring, but they couldn't tell us the exact fee. We called the company that measured and she said she didn't know what fee Lowes charged for that. If the salesman would have calculated accurately in the first place we would not have went ahead with the countertop at all. We knew it could have been off a little bit, but not double the original quote. Very disappointed in the way this whole situation was handled. read more

Great selection and kind people willing to help. The store seems to always be clean like a medical facility. The staff is knowledgeable and store savvy in regards to product knowledge and location. I have over purchased on occasion and they have a no hassle return policy. I am a Veteran and they are very kind and say thanks for my service at the register every time. Retired Military looking for a grill. The kids that came to help were very good. when we decided to purchase the grill we were told we would probably get a 10% discount because it was the last floor model. I ask about the Military discount they said that was a supervisor decision. I was standing there when the guy ask about both discounts......She just looked at him and said NO! No explaining that only 1 discount nothing!! Just NO! the sales person was very sorry, but she just walked away!! St Robert gives the discount without all trouble. Terrible check out situation twice in 3 days. Just awful. Lines of 10 deep with 2 people checking out . Then a new person opens up and takes all new people not the ones that have been standing in line. 25 minutes to check out 1 item. And of course self check wasn't open . Lowes used to be my go to store but I have switched to Menards. They are VERY FRIENDLY and never have long lines . read more
