We -a Frigidaire stove, a refrigerator and a microwave all together at Rochester MN Lowes. After a few days we noticed the right back burner didn't heat, although the "element on" light came on and there was a click when we turned the burner knob on. We arranged a repair, which we had to do through Frigidaire. They gave us an "8-5" window and DIDN'T SHOW. We chatted online with Frididaire, and they told me they would set up another repair appointment. A week later I called since they didn't set one up. A week later I called again since the once more did not follow through with an appointment. A visit to Lowes was useless as the store manager told me they would do nothing since the 2 day window of returns had passed. He was a useless creature, but probably a product of the environment he works for, Lowes. We've spent thousands of dollars there recently with also buying flooring, but they've lost our business. And I will badmouth them to anyone who will listen. A phone call got us an appointment, and when I called the Sears repair # they gave me to narrow down the 8-5 repair time, an AI rescheduled us for a week later. It was an AI phone call with no chance to speak to a human. When I told it to return our earlier appointment, it said it was no longer available. AVOID LOWES, SEARS and FRIGIDAIRE. read more

I had a fence installed from Lowe's they didn't backfill properly with cement and I had to add brackets to keep fence from popping apart didn't know about them not putting cement in the hole till now my contract clearly states backfill with cement price to fix is higher then original installation they won't do anything there customer service is non existent read more

Used to brag about Lowes. After this experience, will not ever recommend Lowes to anyone again! Purchased refrigerator to be delivered 6/6. Never heard from anyone on 6/5 to set up delivery time. Looking into it, I found delivery had been moved to 6/10. No notice, no communication. I found this out on my own after digging into it and already taking a day off work to be home for delivery on 6/6. We are not available on the 2 dates they offered and have already been almost a week without a fridge. Called and spent more than 10 minutes on hold. Finally a guy answered and asked if he could put me on hold while he looked into it; he never came back on the line. Customer Service Corrine picked up the call and I explained everything again. She was beyond rude and should not be in any type of customer service position. She escalated the whole situation x10. Was then transfered to the manager in appliances. He had been told nothing, so I got to explain the situation a 3rd time. He agreed if we would pick it up ourselves he would take $100 off the price and refund the delivery charge. THEN his manager joined in and said they would not do that, and the most she would do was 15% discount. Word of mouth goes a long way and as ticked off as I am after this entire experience, you can be guaranteed I will share this experience with anyone and everyone who will listen! read more

We have purchased all appliances there for the kitchen in our rental and a little over a year ago we purchased a fridge for our home, the ice maker quit working so we stopped in to ask how to get it repaired, we purchased an extended warranty and cannot find the paperwork.. long story short they delete their computer records every 6 months so now we have an expensive fridge that doesn't make ice anymore, I will never walk into that store again, very disappointed!!!! I was in there today and was very disappointed with the customer service. The last time I was in a Lowe's there were plenty people around and they were very nice about showing me where something was located. Today when I finally found somebody that would talk to me they were vague and acted as if they were doing me a favor. I tried to buy a GE microwave from this store online. When we got it home we realized the microwave was badly dented. We took it back after a store associate told us there was another one there that didn't look damaged from the box and we had to return the first one anyway. We went to pick up the second one and return the first one and we asked to open the box this time. The second microwave was damaged. The store associate said we could check their third microwave that they had of the same kind of microwave. That one was damaged also. One damaged microwave is understandable. Lowes, Please teach your customer service associates that the proper response when a customer says, "Thank you!" at the end of a transaction should be: "No, thank you, my customer, and others like you, for choosing to shop here and thereby give my company the reason and means to employ me and provide me with a paycheck." Well, maybe not so lengthy, let's shorten it to simply, "Thank you!" Or even the commonly used, "You're welcome" would be a better choice than, "Yep." Yes, that's right. After running to my local Lowes today and picking out a few items for a small project, I thanked the person who took my money and was acknowledged with, "Yep." So please remind your associates that they are in the business of customer service. Thank you! PS- please monitor your restrooms. This superstore is located at the Maine Street Shoppes project in south Rochester, MN. The store is very large, too large at times-tidy and well stocked. I will be honest I never really liked Lowes when I lived down south-for what that's worth. I have been there numerous times to order replacement windows, buy lawn care products, pricing appliances and adding various tools to my toolbox. I have really only been happy with my windows and tool purchases. They are significantly higher on appliances than other retailers in Rochester-but they have a good selection. The staff has always been in a hurray to get us out with a purchase, even if it is the wrong item. But they gladly take things back with a receipt, They also have a grand paint selection, but I rarely buy paint from Lowe's, WalMart, or Menards-because they are all fairly low quality. I bought a drill at Christmas time for myself and I love it, I use it alot. I also bought a weedeater that had to go back because the motor was shot upon first use. I know many people who were all hyped about getting Lowe's in Rochester, but many go to other places for better prices and knowledgable staff. An example, I went there for lawnmower parts and two staff "helped" me select the wrong parts. I had one of those "gut-feeling" moments and put the stuff down at checkout. Had to go over to Tractor Supply and got the right items for my mower. So I conclude by saying if you know EXACTLY what you need and want to be sure they have it-go to Lowe's. But if you aren't sure what you need for a job-I recommend going elsewhere. This isn't a bad store, it's just there are others that are better in the area. read more

Very nice big clean store, excellent selection of designer plumbing fixtures. I think they are the most upscale of the home improvement chains. They price match and generally have higher quality I feel. I really like their garden center, they have a very large selection of outdoor building materials too. read more

Customer service on the sales floor has always been excellent over my dozens of visits to this store.

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM LOWE'S or at least until the appliance manager Chris and Patricia are fired! They scratched up my refrigerator door handle and the range handle during installation and initially they said they'd order a new fridge for me but then I realize the parts can be replaced individually. Chris reassured me twice (not once) on two occasions that he had ordered the parts and they are on their way but the parts never came. When I talked to the store manager, we found out he had never ordered anything. The whole ordeal took a month! Patricia of the appliance team sold a stackable washer and dryer to me but failed to mention the stack kit is needed to stack the machines and needs to be ordered separately. When the installation team came, they couldn't finish their job and had to come back a second time. Tremendous waste of time and resource for everyone. read more

Here today to buy paint for my winter bedroom remodeling project. I like Lowe's because of their great paint department and helpful staff. I tried the other places in town and no one comes close. I also like their plumbing department for faucets and sinks. They have all the major brands and top of the line ones too. I think the store is just designed more for women. Needed a replacement freezer. Did not have much time to research or wait for sales. (mine was actively dying) Went to about 3 shops then called Lowes. They had a reasonable selection and one that was available so we went there immediately. Clerk was helpful, price was competitive and so we ordered it to be delivered on a day that fit my schedule. Delivery men (2) were on time, very meticulous, caring and gentle with my new freezer. One explained all the paperwork and removed all the blasted stickers that the factory put on the product in and out. I was impressed. The delivery guys were great! read more

While this Lowe's store might have what you need, be prepared to find it yourself. The place is huge and the floor associates are non-existent. I had trouble locating the items I wanted. I eventually found one employee "hiding" among the larger racks while surfing facebook. When I asked where I could find my item, he shrugged and said," I dunno." I finally found a second employee who was also glued to his phone. This older gentleman replied, "over there." and waved his arm to the side before briskly walking away. Called to speak with the installation manager and and she became indignant and condescending, like I didn't know what I was talking about. The guy who actually does the install called to schedule. When I described the parts that arrived he confirmed they were the WRONG ones! Now we wait AGAIN for the correct parts. What an absolute cluster f*ck at the Low's install department! The most inept, incompetent dip sh*ts I have ever had to deal with!!! This is after I spent over 4K on blinds. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from these clowns. Unknowledgable staff, lack of communication between departments, and quality of products that is no better than Menards despite higher prices. We went to Lowe's on Labor Day to purchase a new dryer after ours died on us a few days before. After a lot of debate, we finally decided on a dryer. When we went to purchase it, we were told it should be in within 10 days. On day 9, I got a phone call from Lowe's saying the dryer hasn't been delivered to the store yet...in fact they had no idea where it was. Two days later I called to find out the status of my order, and I was unable to get connected with anyone from the appliance department. Eventually I was able to talk with someone from customer service who said someone from appliances would call me back. An hour later I still hadn't received a call. I called again, couldn't get through to appliances, but was told by yet another customer service representative that the dryer was expected to be delivered the next week. The day before it was supposed to be delivered (the second time), I got a call from Lowe's saying my dryer couldn't be delivered because it was discontinued....two weeks after our initial order. When trying to get a hold of the store to see about putting a different dryer on hold, I was hung up on by customer service twice before finally being connected to the appliance department. After picking a NEW dryer, we were assured that we'd be getting a call yet that night to schedule a delivery time for our washer and dryer. No call came. No call came the next morning. After calling the store and being hung up YET AGAIN by customer service, I was able to find out my appliances were out for delivery...without knowing a time frame for which I needed to be home. Luckily I was able to make it home before getting the "half hour warning" call. The two appliance workers who helped us with our purchases and the delivery team were great to work with...the customer service however was absolutely horrendous. Because of that and the lack of communication, we will NEVER shop at Lowe's again. read more
