We used Lowes of Somerset, Kentucky for a major home remodel. They made us pay up front for the entire amount. That was in October of 2020. They had a completion Date of April 2021. One of the items was to replace a french door, (both doors open), The install cordinator, Kevin (scame to the residence and measured the door himself, he also measure windows inluding bath room window that opened, First installers worked about a month, leftvandcwas not seen again. They left the jjob half done with the wrond door and wrong windows installed. The under pinning under the house was left open for several months. This resulted in a rodent problem. They took the gutters off the house and left them laying, They left both garabge piled up along with scraps for us to deal with, All of this while I was in the hospital. Multiple calls before a second crew, who was excellent showed up. They destroyed lawn decorations for no reason in areas they were not working in. Parts of the trim of the siding are misaligned.They where unable to finish due to Lowes originally not ordering enough materials and had to leave for another job, the third crew finally showed up and completed the job almost two years from the date they received the full payment. They where not happy to be here, and barley completed the job. Left a lot of materials, that Kevin from Lowes said we would get a refund for, which we did not.NEVER USE THEM AGAIN, dishonest and a disgrace. read more

Very disappointing experience at Lowe's just now. The only option to leave the store was to go through a self checkout lane. I don't work at Lowe's, I don't get a discount for going through self check out, and I choose personally to never go through self check out, but I was told that a Corporate decision was made to close down all the cashier lanes and have self checkout lines only. I ordered a washer and dryer May 29th using Lowes.com. Called 800# to get a date I would be at lake house. Lowe's website showed they would be delivered 3 days and no one showed (8am to 8 pm window). I voiced my unhappiness to the store and sat on hold for over an hour for customer support. On the 4th delivery day July 3rd they called and said my dryer hasn't arrived yet. What was really happening is they kept giving it to someone else. We ended up switching colors and they delivered this time. My complaint is lack of communication from Lowe's that delivery was canceled and customer service saying it is on the truck when it wasn't. read more

Ordered new kitchen cabinets and countertops back in June of 2022. November the cabinets were put in but trim was the wrong order so had to reorder. That was November. They now plan to have it done along with handles Jan. 10. Countertops were measured months ago and are now due to come jan9. Cupboards doors don't come together when closed plus one door is chipped. We now need to order another one. Who knows how long that will be. We can't have the plumber come to install faucet and dishwasher until countertops are in. This whole process has been horrible! We purchased a lawnmower and was over charged $171.74 dollars for it. I took the receipt back in and the young lady at the counter didnt know how to do a refund on the register. She then gave it to another lady and she didnt know how either so she told me to come back later and she would figure it out. When I went back they explained to me that they couldn't give me my refund. So when you purchase something make sure it rings up right at the time of the sale or you wont get your refund. read more

We went to the Somerset Lowe's yesterday about 2:00 to purchase a kitchen full of granite countertops. We went back to that section of the store and waited for over 45 minutes for someone to wait on us. We requested assistance from three different Lowe's employees but never got waited on. We finally left. This is an ongoing problem with this store. They rarely have what you want, if they do it's not out and it is hard to get waited on. It evidently needs new management and some competition. read more

I had to go to Lowe's yesterday to get several things from various departments. In total I dealt with 7 employees. Each of them was polite, professional, very helpful, and kind. They knew their business, and although they were VERY busy with two trucks to unload and a store full of customers, each of them was patient and without complaint. I view them each as true American heroes during this time of panic and distrust and hope they are all treated with respect and admiration. read more

Not even sure where to begin and this isn't just about this store. Bought a house and wanted to replace all the appliances since some were not working right. Everyone in the store is supper friendly and helpful. My two stars goes to the management and outside company they use for delivery. The appliances came in three different deliveries. That's fine. First delivery though ended up with zero mailbox, scratched doors, and broken patio steps. The delivery people are trained how to install by watching videos. They didn't know you can move the legs on the bottom of the stove to raise it and level. The dryer vent fell off the wall. They didn't have all the tools needed to apply the wires to the appliances. Okay. Think it's all fixed and handled after talking to two managers. Then delivery two went great. Get my hopes up that we are good. Then delivery number three. Auto voice message on a Thursday that I'm getting a delivery the next day. Someone at the store changed my delivery to the next day with zero consent. Like people don't work. Call the store and got one of the same managers Lisa. If you get Lisa on the phone to help with any problems, just hang up and save your breath. Think it's all handled. Get a phone call Friday from delivery people saying they are 5 mins out. Thanks Lisa for the help. Have to go through the delivery company to get my original delivery date set back up. Fridge came defective. The low price for the appliances was not worth all the stress and time of having to deal with this store. You definitely get what you pay for at this Lowe's. read more

If I could rate this store a ZERO, I certainly would. First, this is not my first bad experience with Lowe's. The other experience concerned a washer/dryer combo that was delivered damaged... twice, but that's another story. We recently installed an inground pool. We decided to purchase the fence from Lowe's and have it installed by them since they are "professionals". The sales rep (Kevin) came to our home and we paid for the fence in full. This wasn't the fence I originally wanted, but Kevin told me that the fence I wanted would have be to ordered, and would take 6 weeks. If I ordered this aluminum fence (which he said was in stock) it could be installed very quickly. I guess my definition of quickly differs from Lowe's because it took a month before it was installed. The guys who came to install the fence were independent contractors. They seemed confused from the start... even trying to tell me that the sales rep had drawn the gate to be on the backside of the fence. Anyway, the fence was supposed to be 3 feet from our concrete, and one guy was trying to teach the other guy how to measure. At that point I actually knew we were in for trouble. So, once the fence was installed it was NOT 3 feet from the concrete expect on one side... the other three sides were all different. Also, some of the posts were not even in concrete! One of the panels was visibly damaged, and the gate had several scratches. In addition to all of this, the fence was very dirty. Also, the guys RUINED my brand new concrete because they left MANY red clay footprints all over the concrete. There was absolutely no sense in that!!! Walk around!!! I could understand a couple of footprints, but there are places where thy cut across the length of the pool and left a trail of footprints... red clay mud stains all over brand new concrete. Because they are "professionals" So, I texted Kevin and sent him pictures of the damaged panels and the concrete. He came out a few days later to look at the mess. He assured me that he would send the installers back. A week later Kevin came to my house to take pictures so that the installers would know what to fix. He also promised me that he would send someone to powerwash the concrete. Then NOTHING! I called... and called... and called. I talked to multiple people and all they would ever say was that all of the installation teams were busy with other jobs. How about my job!!?? I told them multiple times that I did not want the same "professionals" to come back because they clearly did not know what they were doing. I also said multiple times that if no one was going to come back that I wanted my money back so that I could find someone to install a fence. I finally called the store and spoke with the store manager, Brandon. He assured me that he would look into the matter and said there was a lady in NC who was over all of the installations and he would speak with her. Brandon called me back and said the lady would reach out to me. She didn't. So, I called Brandon again and he assured me that the lady would reach out to me that day. She didn't. So, then I went into the store in person. Brandon wasn't there, so I spoke with the assistant store manager. I showed her the pictures of all of the damage to the concrete... bent panel, etc., She told me that she would call the lady in NC. She then called me back and said there was nothing she could do because these installers are independent contractors who make their own schedule. A MONTH after they installers left my house the first time, they finally showed up (so now we are two months past when I paid over $4,000 for a fence). It was the same guys even though I stated multiple times I didn't want them. They were rude and disrespectful (rolling their eyes and mocking me) so my husband told them to leave. He told them to leave the one panel that was supposed to get replaced and he would do it himself. They refused to leave it! Also after a MONTH of having red clay mud all over my concrete, I texted Kevin to ask when the powerwash people could come. He immediately called me and was very rude. He told me that they were not going to powerwash until the fence was repaired because he was NOT paying for it to be done twice. Guess what? Still hasn't been done once. RUN!! read more

If there was a 0 rating this would be the actual rating. Based on customer service standards this store in this area should be retrained and taught the meaning of customer service. In 2 days I had 2 complaints. Jeff H. for flinging a trim blade on the counter and Erin at the return desk on 8/29/15 for telling me "she let the phone ring for 30 minutes because it was rude to answer the phone in front of a customer". The rep that flung the trim blade has worked at this location for 8 years and even team members ask why he is still employed. Erin, who finds it "rude" to do 2 things at once should be working on a slow day rather than a busy Saturday and only required to do 1 thing since it is difficult to accomplish more than that. 30 minutes of a ringing phone tells me this store does not get enough corporate attention as it is in a small town. Customer service should be #1 to any company and that has been proven otherwise, as consumers have no alternative in this city. There is no Home Depot or many community members would be taking their business there. Phones ringing and wanting to keep customers is how employees remain employed. read more

Well, first of all I have been a loyal customer of Lowe's for the last almost 14 years. However, lately it seems like the customer service has gone down hill. I call and the telephone just rings and rings. After trying back 3 times someone eventually answers the phone. I ask to speak to someone from "Installation. The reason I asked is because I purchased a storm door for my rear sunroom porch on June 17, 2018. Of course, since I was having Lowe's install it. I had to wait until an installer calls me to set up an appointment to come out and measure the space. The installer called me in June 20, 2018. Said he would like to come out to measure the door. I was out of town but since he said that he was there and could measure the area where the new door would be installed without me being there. Anyway, I waited and waited to get a call from the installer since the measures determined that the door was in stock. No call was given. So, I stopped by the Lowe's in Somerset, Ky and asked what the holdup was. The salesman said that the installer (Mr. Ball) was 6 weeks behind. I was given his number to call him to see if he could install the door sooner. That met with negative results. Today is June 27, 2018, and I have yet to hear from Lowe's or the installer about a possible date to have the door installed. If there is going to be a long period between purchase and installation then someone in the door department should tell me up front. This way I could have waited to purchase the door. Had ordered a new one piece toilet and a new dishwasher the last week of February 2019. Was scheduled for install of both items on 3/6/19 at 1pm. 145pm and nobody had shown up. Called lowes installation and was told It was gonna be 2 hours or more before they could show up. That's completely unacceptable. My time is valuable as theirs is. I called Lowe's and want to speak to a manager. Spoke to an assistant manager who was very lacking in communication skills and customer service. I requested to speak to the manager and was told he was on lunch. I said I wanted him to call me back when he got Back. Spoke with the manager and he wanted to call installation and see what the hold up was. Was called back at 2:45 by the manager and was told that unfortunately there would be a 2 hour delay. I told him this was unacceptable. A multi billion dollar company should be able to get installers to show up at if not at the agreed time very close to it. I told him that I would be requesting a refund on my credit card and I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I was just in the lawn and garden dept trying to check out with 2 items. The lady in front of me was in line paying for 4 carts of plants and pool chemicals when I walked in. I got my items (2) and waited in line behind her for 10 minutes. There were 3 more associates moving carts outside to this lady's truck. No one offered to open the other register.
