I cannot complain about the people I have been in contact with. They have all been respectful. However, due to a progressive disease I thought it was time to buy a lift recliner. I used my Lowes credit card and ordered one. It came in two large boxes one two separate days (not a big deal). My son came over to put the chair together for me, only to find the arm with the controls was not in the box (left arm), but rather two right arms. I called Lowes and they gave me the company's # that distributed the chair. Long story short it was agreed they would send me out the correct arm after I texted a picture, which I did. After 6 days I received the box that was clearly too big and heavy to contain just the arm. Well, it contained another seat bottom with all the mechanicals and a right arm. I called my contact lady and again texted pics. At one point I was asked to get a sku # from underneath the footrest. I explained I had no way to lift the footrest because the power buttons are on the arm rest I have not received. I somehow managed to get on the floor, scoot my legs underneath the chair so I could get my phone correctly positioned to take a picture of it (after about 12 tries) and texted to "Kathy". My third box is now delayed in Michigan by FedEx after leaving TX, then AR, then TN, to Chicago last night saying my delivery would be here today between 11 and 3. Then at 2:45 I got the message it was in Michigan but won't be here until Saturday. BTW, I live in OH. When I called Lowes after I received the second wrong box the lady apologized and stated they couldn't help but she sent me a $50 e-gift card for my troubles. While that was kind, it still did not help the mess this is. As a disabled person on a fixed income this $1000 chair would greatly enhance my quality of life...not so much to this date. Lowes can't help but they'll still charge me interest on a chair I cannot use. Oh and I asked "Kathy " to send a label and I would have FedEx send back the 2nd seat/3rd right arm and she told me to keep it. I explained that I live in a small disability apartment and she said to throw it away if I wanted to. So for now it is still sitting in the middle of my kitchen. read more

Purchased a washer on Saturday from them was supposed to be delivered on Monday. They called the night before and said between 10:30 and 2:30 at 2:10 they call and tell us they had no driver so no delivery. I make a bunch of calls they tell me it's too late to get it the next day so now coming on Wednesday before noon guaranteed. Get a call will be here between 10 and 2 driver calls at 9:30 said he'd be here in an hour. An hour later he calls says he can't find our house can I come get him, I drive all over my town call him back he's not even in the right city, tells me now he's off schedule and won't deliver it. I make a bunch of calls from the local store to delivery company (not Lowes) and called the Lowes corporate offices. No one did anything but pass the buck and made excuses. I finally went back after I got no answers on when I would get it and canceled my ordered and the store manager acted like oh well I don't really care! Was treated rudely by almost everyone there, and had to wait for the delivery company to return the product then for lowes to log it back into their system the next day before they would issue a refund. I had to go back to the store several times to finally get them to do it. If they treat everyone like they did us they shouldn't even be in business! read more

Had Lowes contractor come to my home to do a bathroom remodel estimate. During the estimate I ask if they could include putting in a GFCI for the whirlpool tub. The contractor stated that they hard wire the whirlpool tubs. I just looked at him and he said my plumber could do it for me. The next day I contacted my plumber and told him what the contractor said. He told me that their was no way anyone should hard wire a whirlpool tub when it has a plug on it. I then contacted kohler (tub manufacture) and they said if I hard wire the tub I just voided the warranty. I then hired an electrician and told him what Lowes contractor said and he couldn't believe it. I'm writing this review because of my concern for others who have used this contractor and/or future people who will have a hard wired tub and no warranty coverage. The employees are great to work with. The contractor needs to be advised by Lowes that hard wiring a tub is not acceptable and that is why I only gave them 4 stars. read more
