The paint section often has the same guy working there. Big guy - never smiles. He hates his job and it sure shows. He is so rude and acts like you just ruined his day asking for some paint. No wonder there is a sign right there on the counter to 'treat the employees with respect'. Wow. Seriously. Just the mere fact that they need to put a sign up shows everything you need to know. Many people probably complain about his attitude. I need to get paint a lot and I make a further drive to go somewhere else now! read more

Lowes on N Maize Road, Wichita, Tuesday mid-morning: 200,000-square-foot store. 400 parking spaces. About 50 customers. 4 employees lounging at the return desk. 2 employees lounging in the special order area. ZERO check-out lines open. Exactly 4 self-checkouts, lined up with customers because the single harried employee was having to help every one there. It's no wonder so many people are going to Menards up the road and buying like crazy. read more

Storefront, 5 stars, salesmen/women 5 stars, advertising 5 stars, delivery is a train wreck, how can they get every delivery order screwed up. I mean, I have spent $30,000 on upgrades to my house in the last 2 years and they have always done a great job inside the house and outside on the deck, appliances. But they're delivery supervisor, not so much. They can never find my order - let alone deliver it on time 'they say" it'll be delivered. I totally understand it once in awhile, but not every time. The sales folks know their business, why can't the delivery folks be on the same page? The delivery department brings whole customer confidence level in the Lowe's name down. read more

My husband and I had tile floors installed in three of our bathrooms in March 2016. Upon completion we noticed several areas where the tile did not meet the wall trim. We also noticed that despite the fact that we paid extra for darker grout and sealer the grout looked much lighter than expected. About a month later a tile in the master bathroom started coming loose and the the grout broke apart. In April 2016 we called regarding this tile. The tile was regrouted and the grout was much darker (like we expected for the extra we paid). Around October 2016 the same tile started coming up and the grout breaking up again. My husband has called several times... about every two months with no call back or resolution. Today I was giving my son a bath and noticed the grout along the tub is now breaking apart and allowing water to our floorboards. So I called our local Lowes (NW Wichta, KS) and asked for a manager. I was informed that the floors were no longer covered and that they would have the same company come out and give me a quote on repairing the tile. (Manager claims they have no record of my husbands' calls, and that is ridiculous and even more unprofessional on their part in my opinion). This is VERY frustrating. We paid good money to have nice new floors and I have been having to cover them with carpets to hide the ugly mismatched grout and broken grout. I would really like to have a resolution to this problem. WITH A DIFFERENT FLOOR COMPANY. I feel that they used below par grout and did a very unprofessional job on our floors. read more

This Lowe's location is almost always our first stop for home repairs, appliances and remodel options. From a washer to a refrigerator, the appliance options are extensive and delivery is incredibly simple. We've worked with this location to plan new countertops in our kitchen and new flooring in our bathrooms and kitchen. We've always received excellent service at this location and are able to get our house back in order quickly. We've made purchases from a variety of departments - plumbing, lawn and garden, paint and more - and have had no trouble finding someone to assist us with questions and special orders. I've been to several Lowe's stores and continue to choose this one as my favorite because of the excellent customer service. read more

About 2 years ago we purchased our home in Wichita, KS. We found a Whirlpool D/W on sale at Lowes and also purchased a Whirlpool Reverse Osmosis and a Garbage Disposal. I believe that ALL of our faucets / shower fixtures came from Lowes, as well. I also selected a Granite Bathroom Vanity Top and the young man that helped me load it was happy to let me inspect it before driving home. On the reviews for this product on Lowes' website -- there were some complaints about finding chips on the edges. We had paint custom mixed in their Paint Department to match our newly installed Vinyl Siding and it was a perfect match!! After we moved in, we actually ordered a Bookcase and a Display case from Lowes. And all of my Paint products came from Lowes. I believe that our Replacement windows came from Lowes too!! read more

Lowe's just makes me happy! My husband and I went in to find new kitchen flooring and new kitchen countertops today and we had the BEST customer service in three different departments! They are trainees, old guard, and new guard, but the service is GREAT no matter who I talked to today! This is why I will shop here so often If I have questions or want to use a store coupon, I'm good to go! I have had bad experiences at Sears, Home Depot, and WalMart...but NOT Lowe's. I know they were busy and it's a Saturday, but they were just really great at helping me as much as they possibly could. The only reason I give them 4 out of 5 stars is that some of their products were not in store. If I could I would just make it 4.5 stars, but Yelp doesn't give me that option. read more

Prepaid for items said I would be called when order in. Didn't receive a call, they didn't pull order, my order put in regular stock. Had to go to both sides of the store 3 times in order to get my material. I pulled and loaded my own order. Rude employee. I did their job throughout this order. Need better process and better trained employees. Felt as if they were taking my money and running. read more

PAINT WARNING...."paint and primer in one" is the only kind of paint now available at Lowes. This paint is not only hard to work with but does not cover nearly the area that they claim it will. Also, after you spend the time and money to paint a room beware of any little scratch or imperfection because this paint dries like a rubbery sheet that a child can "peel" right off the wall. This happens with the Satin finish and above, I have not tried the eggshell or below. A friend also had this happen with her child. Professional painter told me they never use this. If you want a good paint job "skipping steps" is not the way to get there. Spend the extra and go to a real paint store and buy real paint. read more

I just came from your store on Maize Road, Wichita and walked to a cashier to request help on aisle 39, garage storage. Help was paged, but no one came to assist. After waiting, I returned to the cashier to check out another item. No lights were on to show who was available, The only lights that were on were self-help. I stood in line at another lane, where their were three people ahead of me. At that point, the person who had paged, closed the gates and put carts in front of the gates. Since I have had bad experiences at that store before, I will not return. It is the most convenient for me, but I will drive out of my way to shop at another store. read more

Better prices than the other home improvement stores in town. Plus, their online website is extremely easy to navigate and efficient. Generally, I can find what I need on the website, it tells me the exact location of the item in the store, and I can get in and out of the store in 15 minutes. read more
