The lead ER Doctor is heartless and extremely rude to everyone, including the staff. I even asked a nurse, "is he always that rude?" And answered with a resounding "YES" and other medical staff have confirmed that he is extremely unprofessional and his bedside manner is TRASH. And this man LEADS the whole department of the ER. His name is Dr. Jacobsen. I hope if this man gets sick that no one treats him as poorly as he treats his patients. I have been to this hospital a few times. We thought "surely they cant be this terrible everytime we have an emergency" But I was completely wrong. Once I had a kidney stone and horrible pain with a migraine, and they sent me away saying it was GI issues and "just a headache". Once, I've been up there with a completely torn ACL, they called it a sprain, wrapped it and sent me home. Another time, my spouse was sent from urgent care to the ER and they said it was "just anxiety" when she ended up needing emergent care from a different hospital. She was insulted by the doctor about her mental health and it brought her to tears. We both have rare diseases that require heavy monitoring. The Willis knighton system knows nothing about rare diseases, so if you have one, again, do not go to this place. They won't do anything for you. They seem like their medical care is 20 years behind all other surrounding hospitals. The nurses and imaging staff are the only people who are nice, but they can only do what the doctors say. So in the end you get subpar medical care in the emergency room. There are good primary care doctors and specialists in the Willis knighton system, but god forbid my family have an emergency we will not be going here. And for some if could be the difference between life and death. Take care of your family, go to another hospital

We were instructed to do so by our primary physician. Had to basically tell them what to do. Had to ask for them to recheck urine, give IV fluids for dehydration. The doctor ordered a chest XRray for "cough" rather than checking her abdomen. she didn't have a cough!!! Dr Keitz was the rudest doctor I've ever been around. Personality of a wet mop. It was clear he was attempting to discharge us with no respect or consideration for what we were going through. I would highly recommend getting him some sensitivity training asap as he has a terrible and disgusting attitude problem and I would hate for any other patient to feel the way he made us feel. My mother actually cried after his foul treatment and even felt afraid of receiving further care at this hospital. On the other hand, the Advanced Cardiovascular Specialist, Kristen Keener, stopped by and was so incredibly kind and pleasant and extremely thorough in her explanations. She answered and even welcomed any questions we had as opposed to Dr Bihm's sour and dismissive attitude when it came to our concerns. She truly came in and saved the day making this experience much more positive and helped to cheer my mother up after being so poorly treated. She really made all the difference and is the only reason I am giving this even one star.

The hospital is very clean and very nicely decorated. The rooms are spacious enough to have a few visitors at a time. All the equipment seems fairly new and in working order. I didn't have a lot of appetite, so I didn't eat their meals, but I did look at the lunch plate, and it looked like a good meal. It was a side salad that looked nice and fresh, a piece of baked chicken, green beans, corn on the cob and 2 cookies. The staff... most everyone of the staff were very friendly and personable at first introductions. Some changed after you needed things, and some stayed extremely professional, and friendly no matter how much you called. I ended up being a high maintenance patient, and I used to be in the medical field, so I know it can be hard not to show your annoyance. Unfortunately as the night went on, I could tell the ones who were getting tired of me. I'm not going to throw any of them under the bus here, because it's not that serious... just a bit unfriendly. I want to give a special thanks to LaLena and Sholanda: LaLena (who shares my unusual name), was always friendly and caring. She talked to me and listened when I had issues. I had an IV running the whole time, so I had to use the bathroom every hour or two. I had limited mobility, and it was very painful, so also required extra assistance. Not only was she helpful, but she never made me feel like she was annoyed. She went above and beyond her job description by applying pressure to a spasm while I walked to help me move easier. It really was more than you can ask of a medical professional. Thank you! Then Sholanda was so sweet. She kept asking what I needed and kept offering suggestions. I didn't have an appetite, but I was hoping for a piece of bread just to put something on my stomach. So she went and brought me a Diet Coke and peanut butter crackers. Perfect! Then she actually cleaned off my table top. I had probably 10 different people pass in and out over the 24 hours, and she was the first person to throw away the trash. There was trash on the table since I was first admitted at lunch time, drinks, spoons, straw wrappers, etc and not a single person cleared it. They just kept piling more things on the table. The best part about her is she did it because it needed to be done... not because I asked. She never made me feel like I was bothering her. Thank you!! I would definitely stay in this hospital again if I had to. Let's just hope I never have to again. :)
