He can be shy, but he quickly formed strong bonds with his teachers and made friends faster than we expected. Within the first week, we noticed a real shift. He became more confident, independent, and better regulated at home. It truly felt like he had been longing for something he finally found. The school's emphasis on rhythm, storytelling, singing, nature, practical work, and the seasons suits him beautifully. He especially loves starting each morning with a short run near the ancient oak tree before circle time. The time spent outdoors has been incredibly grounding for him. The campus spans ten acres, with plenty of space for the younger children to explore and a separate area for the grade school students. The parent community has also been a wonderful surprise. Families are welcomed with coffee and tea at drop-off, which creates space to connect with other parents and the staff. There are also parent groups, music evenings, lectures, and seasonal festivals throughout the year. Most importantly, our child is genuinely excited to go to school each morning. As busy working parents, we feel very grateful to have found this school. We would wholeheartedly recommend Marin Waldorf School to families looking for a warm, nurturing, and thoughtfully run early childhood program.

I remember volunteering in the garden after school and she came out to help. Then she thanked me for all my volunteering even though I work full time. She remembered that from a prior conversation, I didn't even recall. The school has a buddy program so kids are partnered-a younger student with an older one. My kids love it at HV. The school also had some renovations done last year so the new playground and buildings were a big improvement. The school also has a terrific art and music program, and the PTO there is very active and has a lot of fun events for the kids and families.

JS class Made me feel like being Jewish was nothing more than political debates and annoying packet readings. Children of staff members would get special treatment CONSTANTLY. I think there's a sweatshirt (or a mug?) you can buy in cheesy shops that says something like "everything that I know, I learned it in kindergarten". Well, at Sun Valley, its true. Everything I know, I learned at Sun Valley. I have some really great memories here. I drove by the other day, and they have a lot of new buildings and a bigger parking lot. But let me tell you that twenty years ago, this was a great place to get an education, and a safe place to be. And from what I hear, it's still that good.

The Charter told me that it would work with the district to make accommodations but instead sued the school district to take space. This alone has caused me to rethink what is important for me. it's important that the school serve the community which makes a community with it's current neighbors thrive. I also don't like that the Charter told me that it was financially viable and it turns out that they are Recruiting from out of district to make ends meet. I found additional information on Facebook by joining "Only In Fairfax" community page. Or by searching a petition on the Ross Valley Charter on moveon.org I don't like that I've been lied to by the Charter Leadership and I do not recommend this school because this leadership is not honest. Wow! This is a review for the school after hours, as a park. It's ah-maze-ing! We played kick the…read moreball against the wall (is there a name for that game?). We played guess the state with the humongous map of the U.S. on the ground. We played on the play structure. And I think the kids played with some kind of cow? Or goat? Or moose? Something cool back there. What a nice park. I have no idea about the school now, but my friends that went there 20 years ago seem to be doing ok now. :)
