He didn't do our engagement photos, but we met up to discuss our suggestions and ideas, and he also provided some input when we shared our concerns about lighting at the ceremony. He captured our moments beautifully, both at the ceremony and reception. We also spent a few hours taking photos with our wedding party at some specific outdoor locations, in which he and his partner followed in their own vehicle. The quality of his photos were great, and he was fun to work with. When we weren't sure how to stage ourselves for a photo, he'd offer some guidance. During our reception, he displayed a slideshow of the moments he captured througout the day, and I thought that was a nice touch. We spoke little to each other throughout the day because I was confident in his ability to photograph all that was going on. His style is appropriate at various times, where he is able to capture the mood during the more ceremonial moments and at dinner time when everyone was more relaxed. He provided us with all the photographs at the end, and a beautiful coffee book that I still look at to remind me of that day. Gives me butterflies every time I look at the photos. One photo that I think illustrates his talent and creativity is where he photographs my wedding shoes by hanging them off my parent's tree in their front yard. My very own shoe tree!. The second most important thing was that they would have a connection with us, and the people we love and have an understanding of all that we hold dear. Jennifer and her partner Brian not only took the most gorgeous true-to who-we-are photos, but connected with us and so many of our family through their camera lenses. They were so much more than that too... From the beginning, Jennifer was perfectly balanced in her approach with us being professional and attentive yet having a calming, relaxed presence that soothed our nerves when we first took our engagement photos. She really let Chris and I do "US" - only slightly guiding us in our positions to capture the scenery just right or flatter our best features. We knew we had struck GOLD with Jennifer just by the memories made, the fun times, and the overall fantastic experience of the day! When the sneak peaks came out in a few days we felt like me had WON the photography lottery with the stunning pictures she presented us. It was such a relief not having to worry - as far as photography goes - on our wedding day. We had no doubt Jennifer would take care of us and our memories. If it could not get any better, Brian, Jen's photography partner, was a delightful addition to her package and made Chris feel at ease when taking pictures of the groomsmen. The two of them together were a peaceful yet powerful force to be reckoned with, with photos covering the entirety of the day including those special moments that you didn't think were caught on camera - that small tear of joy from a loved one or that goofy face when sneaking a sip of fireball - every moment was perfectly captured.
