We walked in around 12:30 and got a table smack dab next to the bar. Purchased some tokens and away we went for the next 4 hours. Skee Ball is always my #1, but I love all pinball machines. Suffice it to say, I was entertained. Couple that with a few Sour Cherry Ciders and I didn't want to leave. The venue was extremely clean. Tasty appetizers (they were only serving apps and pizzas while we were there) and pizza, funky holiday cocktail choices and extremely friendly staff. The guy tending bar said he had worked all day/night on NYE and the place was sold out from near open to close. You never would have known they were so busy because the place was immaculately clean. We didn't bowl, but it looked fun and all lanes were booked the whole time we were there. Lanes upstairs and downstairs. Restrooms are located outside the venue and they were pretty messy with no soap (at least the ladies). Parking is really close and free on the weekends. There is a large selection of traditional bowling alley fried foods (fried cheese curds, fried pickles, fried mozzarella cheese sticks, etc...). This bowling alley is adjacent to the sand volleyball courts, which are fun to watch or participate in as well. The Cedar Rapids Sports/Social Club hosts a lot of summer and winter events (including bowling). At this bowling alley, I usually get a pitcher of Big Grove's Arms Race craft beer to drink with friends as we bowl. The atmosphere is classically sophisticated with an air of the 80s. We go to have a nice time in a family place and that's how I'd describe it for us. The lanes are in good shape for the people who take it seriously, and the rest of us can show up, throw gutter balls for two hours, and still have a good night. We didn't bowl but we spent time in the arcade. On a Tuesday night it wasn't busy and there were plenty of games to play. You have to purchase a game card from a machine to play. They do not have money at the game itself. Multiple card denominations are sold and you can pay with cash or card. Some games are for entertainment only (shooting games, driving games and air hockey. Lots of games dispense "tickets" which are recorded on your card. Tickets can be redeemed for prizes. Price for the arcade was a bit steep. Some games are over $1 a play. And once the kids start choosing games where they are trying to win tickets the money goes fast! Overall playing at the arcade was fun. Something to do every once in awhile.

We chose the package that had the pizzas. Their pizzas are made at their on site restaurant and are very good. The packages are available on their website. Outs also included a pitcher of soda per lane, plates, cups and napkins, and individual ice cream cups. The length of the party rental is 90 minutes. All of the staff was very helpful. Our pizzas were ready at the requested time and the kids had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend especially if you have a large sized group.
