We were passing by on our way back to the Museum Garage from MIA Market and decided to stop in. The store is pretty spacious and big. The staff was pretty helpful and they had a decent selection. I think this is a pretty popular location, especially given that there aren't many in person Alo stores so I was a bit bummed when they didn't have things in a certain size but totally understand. I didn't have exactly what I wanted here but it did lead me to online purchases. Overall, a great location for this store in Design District.

They enforce a strict limit on how many people can be inside, so you wait outside to be admitted. Annoying, but fine. Then once you're let in, the guy at the door locks you inside. Yes, locks you inside. That is where this experience goes from luxury to full-blown nightmare fuel. This cannot possibly be safe. God forbid something happens to the door attendant, or there's a mechanical failure, or any kind of emergency while you're trapped inside a locked store. That is not exclusive. That is not chic. That is not luxury. That is anxiety on red carpet. Nothing about being locked in makes me want to whip out a credit card and buy a pair of shoes. Quite the opposite. It makes me want to leave immediately, which ironically you can't do without permission. The sales associates are nice enough. Not rude, not warm, just kind of there. Polite but oddly detached, which tracks with the whole vibe. I won't be going back.
