We were in the mood for some Italian food and and came across this adorable little spot. I absolutely loved all the art on the walls and enjoyed looking at it all. We were feeling really hungry, so we both got a dish of pasta and a pizza to share. I opted for the Lucky Luciano carbonara. It has a creamy tomato sauce with all kinds of different meats, including prosciutto and bacon. It was so good! The boyfriend got ravioli and it had the same sauce base. He also really enjoyed his! the pizza was also really delicious. We did half five cheese and half pepperoni. The crust was not my favorite but the sauce and the cheese and the toppings made up for it. Our service was super attentive, right from the very beginning. There was a family of four, who had just walked in before us, and then another couple that arrived right after we did, so our server was managing all of our tables, but she did so effortlessly and flawlessly. Overall, this is a spot I would definitely come back to again, and I would recommend it if you're craving something other than Mexican food. read more

It wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't normal Italian lol. The places walls are covered in mish mashed art. The fried cheese was random but good. Good service. The carbonara tasted like pasta cooked in a 1/2 cup of butter with egg yolk and bacon tossed on top, it wasn't an egg sauce. I had the spaghetti boloñesa which was good along with the sangria. Overall the experience was decent. The first girl who helped me was not overly friendly and completely forgot to bring me my drink, so they lost a star for that. The second girl was much nicer and did not forget my drink. Ambiance was nice lots of paintings on the wall. Facilities looked clean and the food was good so overall I was happy with the service. read more

Came here with my husband for a late (by Canadian standards) lunch. This is a popular dinner spot for business travelers in the rotation of about 5 REALLY delicious restaurants in Centro Zacatecas. The sign says they open at 1pm, but as with much of Mexico that's give or take a half an hour or so. We waited around hoping we would catch someone opening and luckily we did! The dishes and cutlery are all miss-matching and fits the feel of the walls--tons and tons of art of various styles, all of which are for sale. The art is a good conversation starter if you're on business or with unfamiliar company, but it should be noted that there is a decent amount of nudity. The meal starts with a basket of bread, oil and spices, and a spiced butter. In addition to the traditional starter I had ordered queso fundido. You may think that you have had some delicious queso fundido but let me tell you this starter included a garlicky oil, which was amazing. I never knew that cheese and churizo could get any better..! Our waiter was kind, professional, and prompt! For my main I had ordered a dish that included tortillas and we wanted to confirm it was made with corn tortillas--as soon as he thought he was out of our sight he RAN back to the kitchen to confirm and also had the kitchen cook up some freshly grilled corn tortillas for the table. I really enjoyed this place they had a very home like vibe. All of the plates are really good I had the vegetarian lasagna and my girlfriend had a four cheese spaghetti plate all very tasty and unique. My nephew had some rigatoni with tomato sauce and my brother have chicken alfredo and they all really enjoyed it that says a lot because my nephew is very difficult when it comes to eating. The salad my brother got was a little strange it had papaya and lettuce but the taste grew on to us. All in all great fancy dinner. A little pricey but we'll worth it read more

First time in Zacatecas City and read good reviews from Lucky Luciano. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. We ordered two regular pastas (carbonara and w/seafood) and it took them more than an hour and a half to bring them to our table and one of the pastas was raw. I understand when restaurants take their time cooking but this was way out of the line. Our waiter was nice but inexpert and we had to complain a lot of times about the food with everybody. Service is terrible. At the end they didn't charge us for the food but we lost almost three hours of our evening. Won't be back again. read more

We ate at this restaurant twice in two days. The family treated us like royalty, the food was delicious, and they are easily accommodated a group of 13. The appetizers were outstanding. The main courses were terrific. The staff, is all family and they treated us like family. If I can find any fault it is the odor from vehicles passing by that came into the restaurant. Amazing! Great atmosphere and the food was delicious. We had steaks on our last night in town and it was the perfect way to end the trip. The "Pechuga de pollo Vicky" was very tasty, the dill cream was simply delicious, I wish I had this recipe. The "Asado Don Lazaro" was authentic and not too spicy.
