Do not go here, my 16 year old went to get French tips and they did them all big and bulky and they looked all deformed. So I took my daughter back since she went alone the first time. I told them they made them big bulky and ugly and all they offered was to fill the side of her nails. I don't know how they we're going to fix it if the lady that did them put too much gel. Filling the sides was not going to fix the top part of the nail. If the lady did not know how to do nails she shouldn't be doing them. They didn't even want to give my daughter her money back either. I'm from Seattle and came to visit my son in Midland. I went to Gala Nails to have SNS nails put on. Leon did my nails. He did an amazing job! I would have to say perfect job! Every nail was smooth (no dips or bumps). I've used SNS for 2 years and have used 3 of the best nail salons in Seattle. No one did as good of a job as Leon!! Amazing professional! Came in for a little pampering with a mani and pedi. They have a nice set up. Pleasant music. TVs with closed caption on which I appreciate. Let's of color choices for gel including some designs. Again I like that. I was asked to choose what pedicure I wanted. There were LOTS of choices. They were a little pricier than I expected but not by much. I chose the deluxe which was one step above the norm. It was a great pedi. The gentleman who worked on me was efficient and thorough. I appreciate both. The massage chair was very nice. I like gel on my toes which was $20 extra so a little steep but not enough for me to choose something else. All in all I am pleased with my pedi. As good as the pedi was the mani was just as awful. I feel really bad saying that but it was horrendous. My nails look like my daughter who is ten did them. Bless his heart he tried. After three coats of polish there are still spots not polished, polish on my finger and rough spots at the end. I'm embarrassed to say I just wanted it to be done by that point. And I paid for it. :-/. $30 no less. So all in all go for the pedi but skip the mani? read more

If your looking for soft beautiful eyelashes Haley is the one to go to, I came in with awful lashes they were hurting me so much they were so heavy on my regular lashes the lady had put too much glue! Came here at 4:45 an hour and 15 minutes before they closed, they rushed me through my pedicure and the man was beyond rough with my toes and even sanded off all of the cuticles when he buffed out my toenails and ARGUED with me stating "that's how it's supposed to be done" and acted like no damage was done to my cuticles/skin after I sat here the entire time almost on the verge of tears every time he put alcohol on my feet because it burnt so bad. Proceeded to give me a COLD "hot stone" massage that lasted 1 minute and 17 secs to be exact did the absolute world job on my shellac and his long ass finger nails cut my skin the entire time. All around HORRIBLE experience, I will never come back to Gala nails. Their customer service/care is pathetic. read more

In her opinion she said I messed up their nail color options, when it was already messed up from the beginning. she had such an ugly vibe towards me. Overpriced for what you get. I waited about 30 min in a pedicure chair before the water was even turned on. Mediocre pedicure. My heels are still rough and my polish is smudged and doesn't go all the way to the edge of my big toe nails. Disappointed! Felt like I wasted$50 on my Margarita pedi, which states it comes with a margarita. But of course the margarita machine was not running. The calf and foot massage felt like she was barely touching me. The hot towels were nice and Iwill say the massage given by their chairs was great, so not a total loss. Won't be back. read more

I decided to give this place a try when I recently moved back to Midland and needed a new nail salon. BIG MISTAKE! Their pricing seems to be pretty good, but that was the only good thing about them. They were very rude the entire time, talking in another language to each other right in front me, talking on their cell phones, and never saying a word to me. They did not offer me a drink, but while I was there they offered a couple of other people drinks. They jerked me around like I was a rag-doll during my mani-pedi and the worst thing of all is the guy doing my pedicure scratched the back of my legs very hard and deep, making them bleed and leaving visible scars on my legs while he was scrubbing my feet with the pumice. They also cut the sides of my fingers badly during my manicure and left bumps and bubbles in my new full set. When I pointed out what he did all he said was sorry and didn't offer me any discount or consolation at all. I came home with terrible cuts on my legs that took nearly 2 weeks to heal and were so painful I could not wear anything but shorts or capris. My nails were terrible looking and were lifting in a few days. I will NEVER go back here again. read more

We are in town for a wedding, my daughter ask for a blue acrylic dip, the nail tech did blue dip on her toes which is what she wanted. The nails on her hands are different shades of purple, which she wanted blue to match her dress, and there are gaps between her nail bed, she said something about the color and they told her it would change colors in a little bit, which it did not. We expressed our time frame and dissatisfaction in the nails being different colors and with gaps, they said they would fix I tried to explain we do dot have the time to have them completely redo her nails. The lady quit talking to me, I ask for managements name and number she told me she did not know the name and told me to get a card. They are very unprofessional and their work is very sloppy. It's a shame the way they treat their customers and a total waste of money. read more

Bad service, got cut three times on just a manicure. Once I started bleeding they superglued my cut. After picking out a nail color that I wanted, they took it upon themselves to pick out a color that was the total opposite of what I picked out. Very unprofessional, would not recommend. read more

Ken is AMAZING!!! SNS nail dipping powder mani is the only way I will ever go. Trust him, it seems like it's a reverse mani, it's slightly nerve-wracking if you are OCD about your mani like me. It feels like he's skipping steps, TRUST HIM, he knows what he's doing and he will give you gorgeous nails and best arm and hand massage ever. His work is flawless and the place is clean and whole staff was friendly and reassuring when I was slightly nervous about trying something new. I will keep going there as long as I keep returning to Midland. As an oil field wife I usually get mine done before I come visit because I only like my home salon, now I will only be having them done here while he's in Midland. My nail guy at home better get on the SNS nail dipping mani experience if he wants to keep me as happy as I am with my mani today!!! read more

Their color selection was great, but their pedicure sucked. I am visiting from out of town, and I wanted to relax before my 5 hour drive back home... well I made an mistake going here! I paid $5 extra for callus removal, and she barely did anything. The "massage" on my legs was maybe 2 minutes TOTAL, and she didn't even rub my feet. Plus she didn't say one word to me! My second time using Gala Nails, and my second experience was horrible, to say the least. First, I believe I was criticized because I only wanted a manicure and not a manicure and pedicure. Absolutely terrible experience. I will always tip very well if the job is done right and not only is my color hot pink instead of coral (because they match regular nail polish color to the SNS one you choose from) but I have dead skin all around my toes and feet and a hang nail. I also didn't get a massage what so ever, I thought that maybe she rubs your feet after the paraffin wax... no. I timed her and she rubbed both feet 30 seconds each. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, also I told her the hot towels were too hot and she less than half way removed the towel from my leg shook it once and put it back on, my legs were incredibly red and burning, she rushed the whole thing and when I asked for a refund because I live out of town I did not get it and was offered another pedicure which I cannot get AND DO NOT WANT. This nail place does pretty cool designs. The only down fall is there are no prices posted any where. While I was there some lady was arguing with one of the nail techs about prices. Later on I was told that my nails would be 65$. I was ok with that . Hayley (a nail tech here)had told me that she thought it would look nice if I rhinestone my whole nail instead of half. After she had Finished with the first nail she was like by the way this is 5$ more so 70$ total. It was whatever at this point. I will go back but get a price quote first and not be talked into more stuff. Or next time have her take them off and stick to the original plan. Either way it's a clean shop. I wanted to take my 3 year old daughter to get a pedi with me and decided to just come here since I hadn't been in forever. They we not busy and we were able to sit fairly quick. The workers seemed to be put out already but whatever. Since it's nearly Christmas I asked to have snowflakes on our toes. A few minutes later another guy comes over to the man doing my daughters toes and shows them Halloween stickers (mummies, spiders, jack o'lantern, etc.) I told him "no thanks-we would like snowflakes" They persisted on theses stickers..ignored me telling them NO and kept trying to convince my 3 year old she wanted these. It was Super weird. Apparently the guy doing my daughter's toes was learning and couldn't do them. It's a snowflake people. I was visiting my daughter and the four of us went out to have mani pedis. I chose only a gel polish, and they were taken immediately to the chair spas and I was sat at a table and ignored. I was moved twice after that while they were receiving their pedicures but still was not helped. Finally an exasperated man moved me again to another station and began my gel polish. I chose a purple with glitter. I asked for another coat of glittler and was told that wouldn't look good and refused to put another coat. I didn't ask how they thought it would look, and considering I had waited so long while the rest of my party was seen to immediately I would have thought they would be eager to put whatever colors on my nails that I would like. They are MY nails after all. I said nothing but did not leave a good tip, and I will NEVER go back. Also, the last time I was moved the man attempted to take my purse off of the hook and I grabbed it and said I'll take it, but he did not immediately let go...WTF!? I felt like I had to wrestle the man for my purse... Yeah..never again. NEVER! Very poor customer service. Poor attitude and rudeness. read more
