I told him my daughter had messed up my instructions, and he began a diatribe of abuse! TOTALLY unprofessional, nasty, brow-beating, SO unnecessary and out of the blue! His entire attitude was "too bad" and "you're an idiot" and "tough shit"! All he would have had to have said was "Sorry, there's no way to claim now" and leave it at that! But no, he had to tack on reprimands and nastiness. I finally got sarcastic and then called him an asshole. He deserved much worse. This is the worst estate sale experience Waited an hour to get inside when there were only 5 people allowed in the house at a time The person who runs everything is named Paul I think you cannot find a more arrogant and ruder person. After shopping and coming to him to get priced his prices were insane When I questioned him and told him the prices were very higher. He said I have to make money and if o don't like it just leave the stuff and get the FCk out. Well Paul don't have to tell me twice. Add me to your ever growing list of negative comments Seriously people there tons of Estate sale companies who do it right and are fair and decent people Do yourself a favor never go to a sale from this company as long as Paul is in charge. They seemed unethical to me. The owner insisted on photographing items for auction without my presence. When I insisted on being present at the house when items were photographed, he decided not to do the auction. It is not ethical to exclude the owner or caretaker of the property to be present during photographing. Despite the owner being a nice guy in person, in the end, I have a very bad feeling about him and the firm. And he was quite rude about saying no to doing the auction because of my requirement. I think the point is that he comes odd as a stand up guy, says he is an ex vet, but in the end he is an asshole which leads me to question if he is a vet. If you asked me when I met him I would say he is not US military grade. He might just be a Brooklyn bullshit artist. read more

Food was unique and good. The space was cute but kind of small and the whole experience didn't exactly blow me away.

I wouldn't let this company run a flea market booth let alone your estate sale. Unorganized, rude and nasty. As a buyer, I had two bad incidents with them and both were treated with rudeness and money and time loss on my end. They let people in the house pick up their lots and some buyers are stealing from other lots. The manager just rudely through at me the money I bid, but I drove more than an hour in traffic for that painting I won which was stolen. The second time they called me 15min before closing letting me know that I won and if I don't show up, they wouldn't even agree to leave the items out so I can pick them up when I arrive late. I wouldn't bid on their stuff anymore online, nor visit any of their in-person estate sales. I also recommend estate owners not deal with them. read more

Tom did a great job and ran a professional estate sale. He kept me promptly posted from setup to the end. He got a good crowd so he obviously has a huge following. We sold off many items, some of which were bulky items which was the goal of the estate sale. Overall very happy with the outcome. I highly recommend. read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE-- if I could give them zero stars I would. They really sold things for nothing, but that was not what was most upsetting. We returned to the house a few weeks after the sale for my grandmothers funeral and the place was TRASHED. It looked like it had been ransacked by thieves. There were chocolate chip cookies on the floor and ground in to the carpet, food trash was rotting on the side of the house which reeked and was attracting animals, some gross mystery liquid stain was on the floor, clothes were everywhere and a lot of stuff that could have gone to goodwill was damaged because of the state they left the place in. We spent the whole afternoon and evening after the funeral cleaning up the mess they made. And the kicker is they told us they cleaned up before they left. If that was clean I don't want to know what their office looks like. Rude, rude, rude. After waiting to get inside a house for an hour and a half, one of these guys yelled a the very nice older woman on line in front of me and slammed the door in her face after she complained. Many people had come out of the estate sale and they still weren't letting folks in. If they don't know how to manage their sales and they explode at customers when they complain, they should find another line of work. I'll never attempt to go to another one of their sales again. read more

Now i understand the negative reviews this company has. My first and last time attending their estate sale. For one RUDE.. The part thats disgusted me is i asked a worker for a price she asked came back and gave me price then when i checked out my baskets the "boss" was extremely rude quoted me different prices when i tried to tell him the price i was given earlier he grew more nasty and acted as if i was lying he continued to pick a fight with me and when i told him to stop being so rude and just give me the price for everything he basically told me to shut up and refused to sell me anything..whole morning wasted. Plus they literally have workers standing over your shoulder one was taking photos of my items that i was going to purchase as i was browsing which i thought was odd as she was not doing this to anyone else.. Plain and simple i found stuff they didnt even know they had.. sad really. read more

Had a really awful experience with them. They are very unprofessional , rude and lack customer service skills. They insult you if you try and bargain with them. Last fall my father in law passed away, leaving his daughter (my wife) his home and possessions. He and his wife (who died the year before) had spent their retirement years collecting all kinds of things, from oak furniture to antique phones, articulators, dolls, lithographs, and much more. But it was a mess, and we had no idea what any of it was worth. Because we live in Maine, finding some help we could trust from such a distance was unnerving. I googled companies that conduct estate sales in the Brooklyn, NY area and called several. After talking to Paul Dunn at Lucky Rabbit Estate Sales, I decided to go with them. We could not be happier with the outcome. They gave us plenty of time to sort through the things we could take back to Maine, while being very sensitive to our feelings about leaving other things behind. Then they combed the house for all the valuable (saleable) property, arranged it thematically in the different rooms of the house, placed price tags on most of items, and advertised the dates of the estate sales. It takes a team to do such a large estate, and the Lucky Rabbit team was outstanding. It was clear that they loved the work and loved working together. Just attended the 2nd day of estate sale in Long Island. Set up was nice, staff friendly, but the prices were 90's top retail. Staff was friendly, but unwilling to negotiate. Baseball cards were full high retail, some 200% of high beckett, and some pricing with no rhyme or reason. Not researched by staff. Looked as if they utilized the highest prices on ebay. Back in May, Paul and his team helped me completely empty and sell furniture and other items from a storage unit and some of my mom's jewelry. I don't live in the NYC area anymore, but was planning on visiting for a week to handle a large to-do list. Not only was Paul able to itemize and list everything sellable in the storage unit, but he was able to make a pit stop to collect the jewelry from a family friend as well. His communication and organization was impeccable, I didn't have to lift a finger! Processing the death of a family member is hard enough, let alone having to face the stress of dealing with all their stuff. On the last day I was in town, I met one of his assistants who was handling the storage unit emptying and sale. I had forgotten that there was a bin of photographs which she had set aside for me. I was able to closeout the unit and leave to meet friends knowing the job was in capable hands. I can't thank Paul and his team enough for making this as painless as possible for me.
