Part of me doesn't want to share a review, as there will be increased competition during bidding. However, the service is unparalleled! From a buyer's perspective, photographs and descriptions are always accurate. Questions are answered in a timely manner. Pickup is a breeze; auction winnings are waiting for you at the scheduled time, pickup times are efficiently scheduled online. The sellers are busy being nostalgic; available to reminisce over the history of the item. I've yet to observe a frazzled home owner or neighbor. Keeping pickup efficient minimizes the number of people standing in line and/or hogging street parking. Kelly and her team are delightfully pleasant and cultivate a family vibe, both with buyers and the sellers. Auctions are fun experiences to look forward to, where everyone is greeted with a smile. I purchased from one of their auctions through Live Auctioneers and when it was time to ship the item I was turned over to the local UPS store which has ruinous, predatory rates. Obviously, Cornell Galleries is soliciting auction business from far away and encouraging people in other states to bid on their items through the Live Auctioneers system. We have no way to retrieve the items except to have them shipped. With the local shippers, the shipping charge is likely to be more than the cost of your rare, antique item, even if it is small and easy to ship. The profit margin of these shipping stores has now reached the stratosphere. Unfortunately, I can no longer do business with this fine auction house if my only option for shipping is to be raped by the local UPS store. Please consider in-house shipping, and I will be back.

Of course, higher end items are always found at big-name auction houses and always accompanied by big prices. Moderate budgets and serious collecting rarely go together.
