I only had a few visits with Lucy before i quit my job and my health care ran out but i really liked dealing with her. she has a tiny little office at the end of a labyrinth in the 1101 building with some cool women's health reading materials in the waiting room. the acupunture room is all windows and completely filled with natural light and plants and a warm feeling. she takes you through the initial visit to identify why you are there and what she may be able to do to help you, teaching you about all the different methods, not just acupuncture, that she uses to treat her clients. she used a combination of acupressure and acupuncture on me and i liked both - i'd never had either applied to me before and it was a cool experience. i could really feel my qi flowing when she put the needles in! she is adamant about cleanliness and of course each needle is a one time use, individually wrapped with an applicator meaning she doesn't physically touch it as it goes into your skin. if you're into alternative methods to take care of your body, talk to Lucy! read more

I can't express my gratitude enough to Lucy Hutchison and her NAET practice. She has changed my life. When I first met Lucy, I had experienced NAET, but Lucy took it to a whole new level. Her kind nature immediately made me comfortable, and from day one her intelligence and intuition about NAET and acupuncture were readily apparent. My children and I have been receiving NAET treatments from Lucy for a couple years, with great results. I have two children with asthma, and I am at a high risk for several cancers, especially those that are estrogen-fed -- we have all seen radical improvements in our health that we would have never seen by sticking solely with the western medicine status quo. I have seen uterine polyps disappear, I was able to completely stop medicating my hypothyroidism (blood test numbers do not lie), and my children have been able to cut way back on their asthma inhalers and seen mysterious hives (that wouldn't respond to benadryl or hydrocortisone) disappear after a treatment. Lucy is very scientific in her approach, and is incredibly knowledgeable in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and NAET. NAET is non-invasive, but it does take time -- it is a process that can be long, depending on a patient's unique allergies and their availability for treatments. It works but takes patience -- and I can see how, if a new client does not seem to understand this process, it would be best for them not to start. NAET is not a take-a-pill or one-treatment magical solution -- and it is important for a person to know that going in. But if you're looking for long-term solutions to mysterious health problems, or wanting to avoid a life of prescription medications that simply mask symptoms, I can't recommend NAET (and Lucy) strong enough. read more

I can't say enough good things about Lucy. I originally started going to her years ago when I was having trouble getting pregnant and read a study that said that acupuncture significantly helped people get pregnant. I now have two beautiful children and am sure that seeing her is the reason why... nothing else worked. I've always found Lucy to be very professional, considerate and concerned for her patients. She is also very knowledgeable about alternative treatments for different ailments. I have referred multiple people to her and they are always very pleased. Lucy has a very gentle approach and uses Japanese needles, which are thin and bendable... so they don't hurt. And she is very good at knowing the exact spot to put a needle to make a specific back pain or headache go away... completely. But this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what she can do. She is also an NAET practitioner and that is what most of her patients come to see her for these days. NAET is basically an allergy elimination treatment where you hold whatever it is you are allergic to while she applies light pressure to your back in specific points. It is not at all painful and very easy to do. Then you avoid whatever it is you were allergic to for a full day and then you are not allergic to it anymore. I personally have experienced this happen with multiple allergies (caffeine, sugar, etc.) And my mom had a serious gluten allergy that always sent her running to the bathroom urgently within 2 minutes of eating gluten. After doing NAET with Lucy my mom no longer is allergic to gluten and can eat an entire piece of cake without any problems... amazing! Lucy also has a nice, new office in Lexington where she has several patient rooms, so it is usually easy to get an appointment when you want. I would definitely recommend Lucy to anyone interested in trying a different approach when conventional medicine has failed. I found Lucy after researching practioners for my special needs son. I interviewed several, but after my conversation with her, she sounded like a great fit. After waiting months to see her, upon intake, she turned my family away saying we were "not ready." This is where my husband and I thought we would ask qusetions since this type of treatment is pretty abstract. She encouraged us to purchase materials to learn more and said to call when we were ready. We purchased 3 books, and then got an email a week later saying she was not comfortable treating my son. So after waiting months on her list, taking a day out of work to go to in intake, and purchasinig reading materials, we are informed she will not treat. I was completely flabergasted. Be aware that what you look like, or how intellectual you come off, can be used as a form of discrimination to not treat you or your family. read more

I would recommend Lucy as a practitioner. She helped me with an issue I was concerned was becoming chronic. After treatment, it resolved in twenty-four hours. Her style is very gentle and soothing. Lucy saved my life. I am sure that I would have ended up in a wheelchair from Lyme's Disease if I hadn't found her. Antibiotics had barely helped my Lyme's symptoms because there are so many co-infections that come with a tic bite these days. She cleared me of many co-infections, methodically, patiently and so professionally. I am vibrantly healthy today because of my treatments with Lucy.
