It cost us 185$ to get a fancy dress shortened, sleeves added from material taken from the bottom and the shoulders raised up. The dress may have been worth that amount but this was also for a high school dance. I should have said no and walked oit. I think they getnyou to commit by doing all the measuring and pinning before they tell you the price. Reminder: this was a gifted dress but we were hoping to keep costs low. Ive told my daughter that she has to use this for at least 5 more occassions! Dont't be afraid to walk out after they do all the measuring, pinning and chalking for lengrh.
