Lucy's Garden was the absolute perfect place to host our beautiful Friday the 13th wedding. The grounds are stunning, Ralph and Cindy were so wonderful to work with, and our precious little dog even got to be a part of our day. We could not have had a better experience. read more

Overall the wedding went okay, and the reception was the blast, Craig was amazing. Only parts I wish was different was more communication from the day of coordinator, we felt rushed, and missed out on a lot of my photos because we were behind somehow. I totally get it being a timeline for things but I would of rather gave up certain parts so that I could get photos I paid a lot of money for. The photographer and day of coordinator often bickered a lot, it made me uncomfortable. I also felt rushed to get out of the building at 9 even tho we had clean up until 11 I appreciated the hard work assembling the new tent since it was damaged, wish I was told before hand so I understood before feeling overwhelmed. Find another venue! The wedding coordinator is terrible to work with, she also left IN THE MIDDLE of my wedding because she had a vacation the next day? (And we weren't even told, she jet disappeared) When she was there she did nothing but harass the DJ I hired. There was no coordinating going on at all, it was actually embarrassing. Thankfully I had really great photographers that knew how a wedding was supposed to run and they helped us more with coordinating than the "coordinator" ever did. The photo booth stopped working at the very beginning of the wedding and we didn't get to use the projector after I spent hours making a video for it. It was pretty, but not worth the amount of money or the headache! Also you'll receive a lot of yes's during your walk through and booking process but alot of no's after you've signed a contract. I want to start out my review by saying that this venue is absolutely beautiful.  Unfortunately, the only positive in my experience with Lucy's Garden is that the ceremony was amazing, other than that it was an absolute disaster. To summarize, I will begin with the most frustrating to slightly less frustrating: 1: The owner is a classic 'yes-man' and will do/say whatever to your face to please you in the moment and then, once the contract is signed, retract everything with the comment "that's not what I really meant".  His staff were completely rude, unhelpful, and deceitful.  To start with, the wedding coordinator is an overly hands-on and obsessive woman.  She rushed my bridal party through our rehearsal and provided too much-unneeded commentary and snarky remarks which was very frustrating.  At the reception she cleared people's half-finished drinks off the table, which resulted in my guests having to hold onto their drinks continuously out of worry that it would disappear again. This was due to guests continuously needing to go back to the bar to get another drink, which then the staff used that behavior to accuse people of excessive drinking. To move onto unhelpful and deceitful; their staff tried to shut down our bar multiple times (an hour and a half into the reception) which they will claim is incorrect and it was our fault. My bridal party was accused of heavily drinking which there is no way that could have happened between pictures, first dances, cake cutting, speeches, and our glasses being cleared, there was no way anyone was even close to intoxicated.  Not to mention they were being stalked by the event coordinator for most of the evening.  And I will add that it only seemed to be our POC bridal party members that the bartender had an issue with.  My maid of honor was accused of being outside, throwing up everywhere, and being passed-out, which didn't make sense since I was standing with her throughout the entire evening.  When my mom addressed this with the bartender, she backtracked and said maybe she was mistaken and couldn't "identify" who was throwing up. No one was throwing up! 2: While this venue is beautiful, we were not warned that the barn facility floods, which would have been nice to know due to our reception being held in the barn for a December wedding.  Which meant the man-cave area where the groomsmen were getting ready was not heated at all for them AND flooded significantly damaging some of their belongings. There was no offer of compensation for the damaged items. Furthermore, we had to try and fix the problem as the event coordinator was too obsessed with what the bridal party was doing rather than taking care of the barn itself flooding. 3: Finally, this event area should be only open in the summer hours due to their lack of honesty of how well their facility can hold heat and apparently hold back rain water.  It is very unfortunate that my husband and I had to constantly fight back on Ralph's deceitful behaviors and "miscommunications". Please be cautious when having an event at this facility. If you choose to have an event here, be sure to Get EVERYTHING you want that the owner says "yes" to in writing in the contract. I cannot emphasize enough how much of a "yes-man" he is. read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED - DO NOT RECOMMEND What should have been a wonderful celebration turned into a big disappointment.  Although the wedding ceremony and venue were beautiful, the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced.   The owners of the facility make a lot of promises and then never follow through.  The bride and groom had to constantly remind them of the things that were written into the contract and they still would argue that this wasn't what they intended.   Bartenders were rude and wouldn't even serve the bride a drink when she arrived at the reception after doing their wedding pictures.  They insisted that she actually go get her father for his approval before serving her.  Two members of the bridal party (POC) were accused of being drunk and refused to serve them.   This was not only untrue but very insulting.   Serving alcohol at this venue seems to be a big issue.  Bartenders were removing drinks from tables when people weren't looking which meant people would have to go up to replace their drink.  Two of my three drinks were removed before they were even half finished.  Guests were then told that they needed to take a break before being served.   Unfortunately because of the issues with the bartenders, the bride and groom decided to pack up and carry on with their celebration elsewhere.  This was all less than 3 hours into their reception.   This was a hard decision for the bride and groom as they knew people they hadn't seen in a long time had travelled a long way to come and see them.   The area for the groomsmen was very poorly heated.  It also flooded during the reception which we found out later is common and something they were aware of.  Unfortunately they did not let the groomsmen know this so some of their belongings were damaged. So although the venue is beautiful, I would be very cautious about booking your event at this facility. read more

We attended a beautiful rustic wedding at Lucy's garden this summer and had a blast. This venue is perfect for a simple outdoor wedding. We had the reception outside under a white tent and then had cake and treats in the barn. The space is very accommodating and they have a lovely garden for photos. From reading other reviews, I totally see where they're coming from. However I was really impressed because the couple booked a luxury portable restroom on site and it was so fitting for a formal event. Therefore I think the venue can only offer regular portable bathrooms if the couple didn't choose something else. Overall my experience at Lucy's garden was amazing! This venue has the potential to let all your pinterest dream wedding ideas come true. read more

This venue is beautiful; However, it is not worth the hassle of dealing with people that should not be running a business. Wife running the business is unprofessional to say the least. I've attended Lucy's for multiple events and have been extremely pleased with the venue and staff to make the event flawless. Besides the beautiful serene setting, the owner went out of his way to accommodate every need for me and my 8 yr old to feel extremely welcome, invited, and overall event very special. I do not understand the negative reviews below as this must be a personal agenda to create false/derogatory comments without merit. Regardless, I would recommend this facility for hosting your next wedding, corporate event, or any special occasion. Hands down one of the best! read more

Lucy's Garden, though a beautiful venue, run by some of the rudest people I've met. The owner was extremely gruff and rude to guests of a wedding I attended, grabbing people by the shirt and getting in people's face (a 16 year old POC). He stated a "suspicious person" was touching his sound equipment and instead of trying to understand and explain himself he got in her face and grabbed her. I wouldn't recommend this venue to anybody and hope he understands that you can't touch people, especially children. There was also talks of one of the owners grabbing children by the shirt and pulling them into the barn when they went outside to play the lawn games or go to the restroom. Lucy's Garden is a very well run and beautiful establishment. Ralph and his wife are wonderful people who put a lot of love and energy into the venue. We were very pleased with the communication and time that was made for us to look over the venue and discuss details. The barn is fantastic with lots of room to decorate, allowing the opportunity to make it a very intimate space for a reception. We also really liked the greenhouse, and how everything was covered with plenty of room for guests during the ceremony. All throughout the property there are rustic decorations and beautiful plants and flowers, all adding to the quaint peaceful atmosphere that makes Lucy's Garden unique. During this crazy season of events, I've seen many businesses suffer and struggle due to restrictions, lockdowns and lack of clientele. It's no easy task to manage your customers expectations while staying within the legal limits stated by the government. Ralph worked with us on even the smallest details, and helped us navigate some of the challenges we were facing as week by week rules and regulations changed. We of course were struggling with trying to have what we had hoped and dreamed for, and it was understandably frustrating at times, but Ralph was very understanding and did his best to work with us. We know several people who have also used Lucy's Garden, and have had nothing but praise for the venue and it's owners. We are very appreciative and would absolutely recommend Lucy's Garden, if not for the beautiful location, then for the fantastic people who run it. read more

Just went to my friend's wedding yesterday at this location. As beautiful as it is I would not recommend Lucy's Garden to anyone for their venue. The owners were unhelpful and extremely rude. The best man was told he could not use the only real bathroom, located in the bridal suite, to wash his hands after he had asked my friend. He was sent to the port-a-potty, which did not have any hand sanitizer or anything set up until 15 minutes before everything was supposed to start. At the end of the day, when my friend and her husband were supposed to be leaving for their honeymoon, the owners cornered them. They claimed property damage, when much of the equipment was already damaged. My friend was balling at the end of all this. Stay away. That's the most I can say about this place and these people. It doesn't matter how pretty it is, no one deserves to be treated this way. read more

The owners are awful to work with, the contract is poorly written and doesn't have a cancellation clause. If you cancel 60+ days before the event you will get sued to pay for use anyway. Buyer beware on this place! Owners promise everything and deliver nothing.... extremely disappointing! read more

Very cute venue, but the restroom accommodations are port-a potties. Didn't like being being dressed up for a wedding and not having a real restroom. Couldn't even wash my hands, but there was a table with hand sanitizer. If I had been in a dress, I would had left. read more
