Nice little "pen" for kids to play in while you shop. And have I mentioned the fabulous $1 rack that they have available all the time! Everytime I visit my in-laws I stop by and pick up 10 things from the dollar rack, why the heck not...it only costs a dollar! And a lot of it is Name Brand or Boutique-style stuff, good quality.

Please don't get me wrong. This is a failing mall. It is nothing like the mall I remember from my…read morechildhood. But, the stores that are left, and the food spots that are left are doing their best. The workers at all of them were helpful and polite. We found some decent sales and the food was affordable. But, there's not much selection for restaurants. And there's plenty of missing amenities. Basically it's dying like every other mall in America.

There are still some nice shops here even though there are no real anchor stores, except maybe Dicks Sporting goods. I like Lost Worlds, Dumb Records, and some nice clothing stores. I wish some other stores could be coaxed in. Maybe they could try things they did in the past, such an antique shows, fashion shows for fall and spring, and the holidays. Years ago, they had first responders and police departments displaying vehicles and doing fingerprinting for children. A Costco would be nice or a furniture store. Update. Went to the mall today and saw the Christmas trees. It was very well done, I hope for more people to participate next year!! Maybe they could contact a train group and have them set up a christmas train. Or the mall could utilize the empty store fronts and put in some decorations in the windows. Some additional photo opportunities would also be nice. Gingerbread cookies would be a hit as would live christmas music or swing choirs. Contact schools and churches. The staff member that was working with customers dropping clothes off has much more patience than I do, as the customer she was dealing with decided to raise her voice and be rude , telling her to shut up. Staff member politely told the customer she could leave now and the customer continued being a bit** as the staff member backed off. These ladies should not have to deal with customers like that- RUDE. I commend the staff for dealing with people like that!

Once it was time to pay me for the clothes they wanted, the lady was in a rush and gave me the total and had me sign. She didn't go through the reasons why they wanted some things and not others and she never even gave me a chance to look through what they wanted so I could take the items back if they didn't offer enough. I should've spoken up more but felt rushed and, honestly, like I didn't have a choice to refuse. It was really strange. Plus when I got home and looked through the items they didn't take, they didn't take 2 hats or bloomers that matched the shirts and dresses they DID take. They also didn't take the bows that went with outfits! Super bizarre! I will never take clothes to them again. Such a rip off. As far as buying from them, good luck navigating through the store. Pretty sure Dollar General has clearer pathways and more organization.

We went to Mossers yesterday to check out their store closing sale. The prices are marked down considerably and their selection still appears decent. I bought a pair of slip-on open-back slippers that feature a sole that can be worn outside. I think I will get many years of use out of them, and at 65 % off the price was right. I am sad to see this store close, it is difficult to find real customer service these days without paying $400.+
