Flughafen Frankfurt am Main, flown Lufthansa from San Francisco to Frankfurt on Airbus A380-800 SFO-FRA. Great flight and I have no complaints - especially after my recent-Indecent round trip flight from San Francisco to Charles de Gaulle Paris with XL Airways, and further to Rome Fiumicino. That was a disaster, as in, "not conforming with generally accepted standards of behavior or propriety". Both actually, come to think of it, I can't reiterate enough how much I despise XS mockery of a service there, never again.
With Lufthansa, what a difference a name makes. They have a well maintained fleet and provide excellent service. Our plane has been initially delayed at SFO, and so it took off over an hour late, arriving to Frankfurt 1.5 hrs later than scheduled, but I don't think it's been solely due to Lufthansa - there are many more factors involved, I'm pretty sure. A 10+ hour ride in the air, although solid 12 hours on the plane (with that extra hour upfront). I was in my seat by 3 PM Pacific and we had a touch down in Frankfurt the following morning at 3 AM Pacific, a full circle on the clock's face.
It was a smooth ride, for the most part. I had an isle seat behind the divider, with decent leg room and easy access to everything. Courteous and friendly flight attendants with a smile on the face also make a huge difference. Large Individual monitor screens with advanced modern controls, finally.
