We called and they said we didn't need reservations tonight, just come in. They have a big billboard on the freeway so we knew we were getting close. Once you're off the highway, you make one turn and you can see the RVs. You go past the Baptist Temple and you see an entrance. There is a sign for a beauty salon which we didn't know they had at the time. We hesitated but saw the Casey's sign on the building. Registration is in that building so you find a place to stop. Katherine was so nice and helpful and let us choose our space. We couldn't fit in the B row without hanging out halfway into the street. So, I called again and we were happy to go to a site in level C. Level C is great if you are 50 ft. It is a parallel parking site but since no one was behind site 9 we just backed and pulled straight in. Our site was fairly level. Some of the other rigs are a bit sketchy but it's quiet and seems safe. The park is do-able for a night for us. I would stay again if I was in the area again and needed to stop.

And if you have horses (we did not) those facilities are wonderful! If we find ourselves near there again we will definitely stay... I wrongly made an assumption of what I was going to encounter (One in TorC was like the Twilight Zone). To my very pleasant suprise the rate was more than reasonable and as an added bonus, everything at the dump site worked perfectly and was clean. Many sites across the west have no functioning water hose, broken handles on the water valve or located at inconvenient spots in the park. I was there less than 10 minutes. One mile from I-25. We received NOTHING!! Attempts to reach anyone that could confirm that we had a place to stay by phone on the day of our arrival were fruitless. It took over an hour to finally receive a call from the owner. By That time we had made other plans, as the drive to El Morro without a confirmation that we had a place to stay was just too big of a risk. El Morro's failure to follow through on our reservation as they said that they would, along with the total inability to contact someone at the site that had a clue as to what was going on caused us to miss spending time with friends that we had not seen in over 30 years. There is nothing that can be done to replace that.....

The first thing I noticed when checking in was how very nice everyone working here is. Larry and Sharon are the couple who run it, and they are amazing! Billy and Mike are two very helpful and wonderful guys who you will find here too. Full hook-up RV and Tent camping is available. We just have a little tent and it is all we needed because they have a great clubhouse here, clean bathrooms with showers, laundry room, free wifi, and even free coffee in the morning if you like. The Moriarty area also offers a lot of great food choices, if that is important to you. Ask the staff where to go to eat, if you are a fan of bbq, they will tell you how to find a place with some of the best bbq you will find. We stopped for the night, but ended up spending a week. It felt like home.
