I tried some new places around and was able to set an appointment. Place was full of customers, but what I noticed was that all of the barbers were using electric sheers. No one was using scissors. When I sat down, I was asked what guard did I want? I said I only wanted to even out my hair. Off to the races we went, and the sheers came out. When it was over way too short and even where I part, my hair was not in the same place. If you want a haircut that requires sheers, this is probably the place to go. If you want a scissor cut, probably not the place for you read more

I'm incredibly disappointed! I just moved here and was hoping to find a good barbershop. I went in for both a haircut and a straight razor shave. The haircut was fine, though it's hard to mess up a bald head--unfortunately, they still made me look like a fuzz ball. When it came time for the shave, the barber laid me back and started using an electric shaver. I stopped her and asked if we'd be using a towel, cream, and a razor. She said yes, so I assumed she was just prepping my beard for the straight razor. But instead, she sat me up and said, "All done." When I questioned her about it, she needed someone else to translate. Her response was a simple apology, but what I really wanted was the straight razor shave I had asked for. If you don't speak Spanish, be careful--there seems to be a communication issue here. Now I'm off to find a new barber, because I'm heading home with a bumpy face and spots of beard still left. No updates, and when I called the shop the phone just rang. I get we are in a weird time for retail business. But this was a joke, and not a productive way to spend/waste time. It's really too bad this place has such questionable reviews... I had a fantastic experience! I called 30 min ahead to be put in the wait line. Arrived 10 min after they texted that they we're ready, when I got there I probably only had to wait an extra 10 min which is amazing for a walk in. They spent 1 hour truly transforming my son with very long hair to very short. They really did an amazing job on his fade and took the time to make it look great. It was a big job and they took it on amazingly and made my son feel great after having long hair his whole life. It's unfortunate to see some people have had bad experiences but I don't think it's enough to dodge this great establishment and give them a chance, we did and are so so so happy! read more

My brother and I got haircuts 2 weeks ago when we were visiting Spring Hill. My barber did a good job, and gave me the cut I wanted. I was definitely satisfied with my haircut. On the other hand, my brother was extremely frustrated with the lack of care and understanding his barber demonstrated. Just received this message from him "It's been 2 full weeks since I got my haircut and like 10 people at work said did you just get a haircut? It looks a bit shorter than usual.. I don't think I could've gone to work 2 weeks ago. That barber shop is an absolute joke and an abomination to this planet." The little brother is a bit of an exaggerator, but his frustration goes along with my philosophy in life. Why pay for a service to look uglier? So I have a barber who has been cutting my hair since I was around 10 years old. On this particular instance, he was out of the country so I had to find another option. You never know if your haircut is going to be a home run or a strike out when you go to a new place. Out of all of the choices the internet gives you, this place hit a home run. When you walk in, they offer you beverages, including beer, while you wait for your barber/stylist. I had Danielle (Can't remember if that's right) cut my hair and she did an incredible job! Very easy to talk to and always asked before cutting a certain length of my hair off. Never seemed rushed, but wasn't slow. Also learning that she is also a rare middle Tennessee native was refreshing! Just an overall great experience! Stop looking for a good barbershop... I found one. Luis Barber is the classic barbershop experience you are looking for. Unlike the rest of the "in and out" shops around town, the barbers here take their time and give you a great cut. The cut is great, but the care and skill they show is impressive. I haven't had a straight razor trim forever, but now I know I can come here and come out looking perfect. The only problem I had, which wasn't all that bad, was the wife attacking me the second I stepped through the door ;-).. I guess she approves too. read more

4.5 stars Nice clean place. It's got the east Nashville vibe going pretty strong. Price point is a bit on the higher end, $25 for a haircut -- but they take their time. It's definitely not a hair mess up mill like a great clips or sports clips, or the like. Barbers are wearing aprons and vests with ties underneath. Has an old time barbershop feel. All the haircuts looked good going out the door. Moving to the area from Nashville after finally finding a good barber, I think I've finally found a place I can go back to. I rarely post reviews when I don't intend on visiting the place again. The reason is that I'm just here on a visit. My friend's toddler needed a haircut and I needed one too so she told me to visit this barbershop. I was immediately impressed with the place, as it was a real barbershop (something I have yet to find in quite a while). The wait was long but it was worth it because I selected Lázaro as my barber (the same one for my friend's son). Lázaro was very professional and, with few words, was able to cut my hair and style me beard as I intended. It's quite a shame I don't live in the area so I will likely never set foot here again. However, should I need a haircut and I find myself paying a visit to my friends, I may very well make a stop, and Lázaro will get my tip. I had been frequenting this establishment for quite some time I was even an original customer at their Antioch location needless to say I got frustrated after the extended waiting times despite having an online reservation system I was very loyal to them I would tip my barbers excessively well. I even tipped my barber an extra $20 and New Year's and then a few weeks later I checked in online and waited for 4 hours until I texted him back and asked what was going on and then received a call telling me everything is good you'll be notified soon and then I got another text half an hour later to telling me to go to the shop as it's my turn. But when I get to the shop I'm told "your barber's still away" but wait 15 minutes and he'll be here I wait another 25 minutes, I just got up and said forget it I'm never doing this again it's just not worth it. I generally get great cuts here. For whatever reason my barber under communicated to me the entire time. No small talk, no making me feel comfortable or asking questions during the cut, but carried on a full conversation in Spanish with the barber next to me. Never spoke when repositioning my head just hands, never asked how much of my beard to take off and he just plain took off too much. Only reason I gave them a four star rating is sometimes your barber is more engaged with the other barbers than with you. Atmosphere was great, I have no complaints about that. What I will say is that the online booking is a bit of a mess. Most of the time when I have scheduled an appointment I end up waiting at least 20 to 30 minutes in their sitting area. Where I'm mostly disappointed is the lack of communication during the haircut. 1 out of 7 cuts I've gotten there so far have been a bit of a let down and not what I wanted. each time I thought it was my fault for not communicating well enough but the times I have spoken up the barber seems to understand what I'm saying but does whatever they usually do. The language barrier is real, I wish I spoke better Spanish to communicate my wants clearly. My haircut is usually very simple too, shouldn't be hard to mix up. If you guys can fix the online booking a bit and bump up the communicating and spend a little extra time on the cuts, it would be 4 or 5 star for me. read more

Sent my husband there 3x. First time Luis cut his hair and did a great job! 2nd time other guy cut his hair and it was horrible. We thought maybe the 2nd time was a fluke so thought we would try a 3rd time! 3rd time will be the last! Made and appt. husband shows up at appt. time and waits for hour and a half. He tells the barber he wants clipper cut on the sides and scissor cut on top and fade in. Barber would not do what he ask and cuts the whole head with scissors. Husband gets in the car and he looks like a helmet head. I sent him there so I don't have to cut myself...I want to pay a professional to give professional services and a hair cut that a professional should know how to do. It was uneven around the sides.
